Let me first say that this is not my first rodeo with this dealership. I purchased my 2020 traverse from them in 2020 brand new. Now that I'm looking for a smaller car I started my search. Three days int this dealership. I purchased my 2020 traverse from them in 2020 brand new. Now that I'm looking for a smaller car I started my search. Three days into my search I saw a 2018 Malibu that peaked my interest. I put in an inquiry which was answered my sales consultant Stacey. I told Stacy that I didn’t live in the area and I was interested in the vehicle. Let me know the vehicle was in hot demand and if I could get down to Woodbridge that weekend which just past, that would be the best bet. I told her that I already secured financing and I was willing to negotiate numbers in order to secure the vehicle. She then put me on the phone with sales manager Andrew. I spoke to Andrew for about five minutes and told them that I would try to come by this weekend. However, if the vehicle sold to please text or call me in advance. I received multiple phone calls from Stacy on Saturday. However, I was unable to answer due to activities I was attending however, Stacy never left a voicemail and or sent a text. I text Stacy on Sunday to let her know that I would be coming to the dealership to view the vehicle. Unbeknownst to me Stacy had a “on “emergency and was not available to take me so I spoke with another consultant name AJ or KJ who I could immediately tell was not knowledgeable about the vehicles he was selling. I came all the way to Woodbridge from Maryland over an hour drive to find out the car that I was looking at had been sold the night before. No phone call from Chevy whatsoever. The consultant there, then try to insult my intelligence by telling me that a Hyundai ELANTRA is the same size as a Chevy Malibu, and then attempted to sell me on the fact that a Mazda six was equivalent. I am a tall woman who cannot fit in most small cars so I felt the Malibu was a perfect fit. However, I also don’t appreciate the consultant insulting my intelligence on vehicle sizing. When speaking to colleagues about Lindsay Chevrolet, they all seem to say the same thing that when it comes to women trying to buy a vehicle, they are less than unfair . Lindsay Chevrolet will never get any additional business from me and I honestly wish I could give back my traverse however because I’m so in love with it and my financing is not through the dealer. I’ll keep it for now I’m still in search for my Chevy Malibu, it just won’t be purchased through Lindsay. More
Deceptive practices. Went in to purchase Silverado based on website "price". Dealer showed an MSRP of $49770 (which included destination charge) and a discount of $8205 Went in to purchase Silverado based on website "price". Dealer showed an MSRP of $49770 (which included destination charge) and a discount of $8205, with a net advertised price of $41555. Spoke to salesperson (who wouldn't talk price at all on the phone) and made an appointment. When I got there, he immediately added a $1695 destination charge, even though that was already included in the MSRP before discount. He then added a charge of $4750 for NOT being in the military (again, even though their discounted price was supposed to be good for "everyone"). He then added a dealer prep fee of $999. When all was said and done, the "discounted" price of $41555 turned into an out the door price of over $54000. All this after I drove nearly three hours to this dealership. Never again. More
