I am a USAA member and was using my membership to purchase a Chevrolet Trax. I wanted a certified pre-owned vehicle and my two requirements were Apple Carplay and a rear view back up camera. I originally was in contact with Mark Ross and he treated me with the upmost respect and I was excited to meet him. I then was told I would be working with Gabriel Smith, who was also a specialist with USAA. I had my appointment set for 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. On my way there from work, I received a phone call from Wendrell and he said that Mr. Smith had to leave early and he would be helping me. I should have listened to my instincts and turned around and gone home. I test drove two used cars, a 2018 Chevrolet Trax and a 2016 Chevrolet Trax. After Wendrell was unwilling to negotiate on the price for the 2018 model, I decided on the 2016 version. Over and over again I asked “Does this have Apple Carplay?” and every time Wendell said yes. Long story short, I bought the car and I was assured that Apple Carplay was in the car. It’s 10:00 P.M. by the time I leave the dealership and when I get in my car, I’m too tired to mess with the fancy details. When I got back home to Fredericksburg, I try to connect my iPhone to Apple Carplay and there is none. Wendell asked me to text him when I got home and I did, I also informed him about the lack of Apple Carplay and he said he would look into it first thing in the morning. All day Thursday I felt I was chasing Wendell down for answers. He claimed he was making phone calls and getting answers for me yet I was hearing none of the results He told he would have an answer for me at 5:00 P.M. and he didn’t call. I called and text messaged him and he eventually called me back to explained to me the situation. I would have to pay for Apple Carplay for myself, in the car he promised had Apple Carplay in it. Wendell told me he would cut me a deal because GM charges $2,000.00 and he would only charge me $1,000. Needless to say, I was upset because why am I being charged for a service that was supposed to be included. Wendell also cut me off at one point and with an attitude, he told me to let him finish. That was it for me, I just purchased a car from him, he lied to me about Apple Carplay, and then you are essentially going to tell me to be quiet. I am a woman and I deserve to be treated with respect. Wendell and I ended our conversation because he said he was going to work on it some more. At this point, I call back the dealership and I ask to speak to the manager. I’m out on hold and the suddenly I’m back on the phone with Wendell and he gives me more attitude asking if I’m going to give him time to work on this? I have given him all day and into the evening to work on this. I wanted a swift resolution and he told me there would be one. I’m out on hold again and the poor receptionist gets on the phone and tells me that the manager is on the other line and I can drive up and see him in person. I didn’t want to take out my frustrations on Marie and I very politely asked her to keep me on hold. Ariel answers the phone and from the beginning, he is short and snappy with me. He took no responsibility for his employee, he said that Wendell must have gotten confused between the two cars, which is not my fault. He told me that my car does not come with Apple Carplay even even though I asked and was told by Wendell ten times last night that my vehicle had Apple Carplay. Ariel then tells me he can put an off brand Apple Carplay system in my car for $750.00 and it will void my stereo warranty. I again asked why I had to pay for it and he told me because my car doesn’t have it. Ariel took no responsibility and did nothing to fix the situation. He suggested I call him back when I was “less heated.” I’m sorry but I have every right to be heated, I feel lied and cheated to. I feel as if they are trying to take advantage of me because I am a woman. I was also told by Wendell that my car was certified and Ariel also told me it wasn’t. I am livid and I am not an angry person. Do not buy from Lindsay Chevrolet unless you want to be treated kindly in the beginning, unknowingly lied to in the middle, and taken advantage of in the end. I truly regret buying my car from there and I hope the dealership goes out of business. I am a die hard Chevrolet fan but this dealership has made me lose respect in this brand. I don’t think I have ever been treated so poorly in my life. Wendell and Ariel have acted like I was a liar and it’s all my fault. Wendell says he is a Marine and I suppose he forgot the fourteen core leadership traits: Bearing, Endurance, Courage, Decisiveness, Dependability, Enthusiasm, Integrity, Initiative, Judgement, Justice, Knowledge, Loyalty, Tact, and Unselfishness. Wendell is certainly lacking integrity, judgement, dependability, tact, and judgement. Coming from a military family and background myself, I wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight if I did what Wendell and Lindsay Chevrolet did to me. I’ll say it again, do not buy from this dealership. They may have “good deals” but it’s not worth the hassle in the end. More

Gabe answered my call about a van I saw online, and was pleasant and professional. We set up a time to meet the next morning. Gabe followed up via text to confirm our visit. He had the vehicle ready and waiting when I arrived. He answered all my questions and took time to remember each concern that came up to be sure to address it. He is thoroughly professional and polite, not pushy at all, and gives you space to think about the vehicle. Marc in finance was also very professional, worked to provide clear understanding of the terms and guided me through the whole process. I came out with a great vehicle at good terms and they went the extra mile to take care of me and my purchase. I would unreservedly recommend Lindsay Chevrolet, Gabe, Mark, John and Audra to anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle. More
False advertising! Check before going there! We scheduled an appointment with Harold from whom we had already purchase another car. We contacted him because saw a deal on a car marketed on their website. The deal did not have any disclaimer or exceptions were mentioned online. We spent 3 hours test driving with a lot of time wasted by sales gimmicks. At the end we were presented with a price that was $7,000 higher (before tax and everything else) than the one marketed online. The sales manager Mark had no reasonable explanation of why the price was so different. Car sales people at their best!!!! More
