Having purchased my wife's car from Arlington Lexus a few years ago, we wanted to return to now buy one for me. I had been in a few months earlier, working with Chuck, to decide that the IS was the right few years ago, we wanted to return to now buy one for me. I had been in a few months earlier, working with Chuck, to decide that the IS was the right car. Now that my lease was about done on my old car, it was time to get serious. We went into the dealership on a Friday, only to find that Chuck was on vacation until the following Monday. After being assured that anything we did that day would still go to him, we agreed to sit down and try to work something out. Unfortunately, this meant that the manager, Hugh, became the only one (apparently) who could talk price with us. Hugh started by dismissing the validity of the outside price data from Edmunds, Kelly's and TrueCar, that I had brought. Called it "irrelevant", and wouldn't even discuss it. Then would only talk about a $500 discount from sticker. Period. End of discussion. Then stuck his hand out for me to shake, and complained that I wouldn't even do so. I told him that I was raised where shaking hands in this situation implied I was agreeing to a deal, and I was certainly not prepared to agree to anything. Very uncomfortable! Hugh then agreed to see if my old leased car could somehow help, by giving some buydown. After a 20 minute wait, he came back to say no, not interested in that. His number stood. After more uncomfortable discussion, he offered to try one more thing. He then disappeared for OVER 1/2 HOUR! After a total of 3 hours at Arlington Lexus, we gave up. We were assured that Chuck, our original salesman, would be told where things stood, that everything would be in their CRM database. A week later, having heard nothing back, we went to another dealer, Lexus of Highland Park, who couldn't have been more helpful, accomodating, and made us very comfortable. We closed the deal in a way we both were happy. Another week went by, and I finally got a call from Chuck, who was merely following up from our original contact, never having been told that we had come in while he was on vacation. Too late, I told him. Arlington Lexus lost my respect, and lost my business. More

I was looking for a 2013 Lexus ES350 and I contacted several Lexus dealerships in the Chicagoland area over the phone and by email. He initially asked me what type of car, what options, etc... Then he asked if I could come in this afternoon for a test drive. At that point I said I could not because I was out of town. He said thank you, have a good day and just hung up the phone. I immediately emailed management and received a bunch of calls back. One from the initial salesman that acted like nothing ever happened. One from another sales person who did not believe the call came from their dealership. One from a manager who apologized. Obviously, I did not end up buying from them. More

Wow!! Went in to lease a new Lexus and what I found was a loving friendly professional team. These guys are true masters of their craft. Steve Jim and Hugh really know how to make a deal. Truth in advertising! This is a rare quality today in any retail market. We found the vehicle that we wanted on the internet priced at fair market value at Arlington Lexus in Palatine.
