I called for an appointment I asked for an early appointment, she said they 7:30am I choose that appointment time, I asked for the service of oil change and recall to be completed, she said ok and a appointment, she said they 7:30am I choose that appointment time, I asked for the service of oil change and recall to be completed, she said ok and asked if I would like the tires rotated it usually occurs the same time, I said yes, so the appointment was 1-4-25 @ 7:30 am to find out when we arrived it was not opened until 8:15am then was told that I did not have an appointment for an oil change, only for the recall that they did not have the parts for. So I was very disappointed with that service. More
Our experience with Ricky at Kia of Stockton went very smooth. He was very helpful and answered all of our questions. Any concerns we had were taken care of. Don't not go to the service department. Go to any other kia except Stockton kia. Took in a car for a engine knock and they fixed it.... but the car was handed back with "coil pack issues". They stated they needed 4 new coil packs for $800 once they had fixed the engine knock. We declined and they insisted cylinder 2 coil pack was damaged and changed it with our permission to a "good working coil pack". Mind you they did a full "diagnostic" prior to the engine knock fixture, not once did they mention anything about coil pack issues. Took the car home smelling some sort of burning plastic. Once I got home opened hood to find a coil pack they replaced to be burnt and with the connector broken. Called the same day(friday) and told me them about the issue they said they wouldn't be able to do a diagnostic on the car until Monday. Took the car Monday stating to them that cylinder 2 coil pack is burnt to a crisp. Just for them to do a diagnostic and just to tell me what I stated to them when I dropped off the car. "Issues with cylinder 2 coil pack and a wiring harness issue" they tried telling us that someone prior to them had worked on the car but that is untrue as the car never had any wiring or electrical issues. They asked for $5000 for parts and labor which is completely unacceptable as the car NEVER went in for wiring issues to begin with. We had to get the car towed out as the coil pack on cylinder 2 is totally burnt into 2 pieces and it is currently not working due to this issue. MIND YOU THEY STATED TO US IN PAPERWORK THAT THEY REMOVED THE WIRING HARNESS AND CABLES WHEN THEY FIXED THE ENGINE KNOCK AND NEVER STATED ANY KIND OF WIRING ISSUES OR DAMAGE TO COIL PACKS AT THE TIME OF FIXING THE ENGINE KNOCK, UNTIL THE ENGINE WAS FIXED THATS WHEN THEY STATED THE ISSUES. Now the car is completely unable to drive with excessive engine wiring damage and with the cylinder 2 coil pack completely melted onto the valve cover. All the service department stated to us at the end is that the car is now our problem and we have to pay out of pocket for any and all issues or damages the car currently has.
