Joyce Koons Honda

I took my 2006 Honda Civic in because my radiator fluid was leaking and the temperature had run hot temporarily. I also needed the 90000 mile maintenance. I was very surprised to find out later that day that my engine block was cracked and that's why the radioator fluid had leaked. Fortunately it was a known defect from Honda, and they would replace my engine for free. But Koons needed to find out if the engine head was damaged before they could put a new engine in. They sent it to their machine shop, who did find damage, and they fixed the engine head. In the meantime I had the rental car for free for as many days as needed to get the engine head fixed, and then replace the engine and then do the 90000 mile maintenance. I had a coupon for 25% off the maintenance so I ended up with a brand new engine and repaired engine head and all that goes with major maintenance for $350, plus the rental car (a 2010 Honda Civic, very nice). Bob was great at keeping me informed and went the extra mile in taking care of my request to drive out of the metro area on the rental car. My experiences with this dealership have always been good, but this was really exceptional. More

I like Koons because they have quite a variety in cars and they hava a great reputation. I bought my daughter's car a few months earlier with Gary Johnson and decided to come back to him for myself when and they hava a great reputation. He came and tossed the tag and told me that’s how I trashed his car. I misbehaved the same way when he offered my Nissan Quest 05 (34K) offered the trade in price 7K. When I gently told him that’s not the way he should speak to customer, he just said “good bye”. I have purchased many new cars but did not receive this kind of behavior. I knew I offered low for further negotiation. But, he didn’t give the chance. Very BAD experience! Anyway, I’ll buy a new car by this week! More

previous encounters with this dealership, back in 2006, were bad. Fast forward 4 years to a lackluster economy and end of model year sale and they were terrific. Picked up my car (2010 model - 2011 model year) at invoice with very little of the usual car-salesman lip service. Service dept has always been pretty good to us and the Koons bodyshop is good to work with as well (not that you dont pay it). I give them good to great ratings here because my total time from selection to driving home my new car was probably 4 hrs. My sales guy wasn't overbearing and the sales manager was open with the numbers he was using to calculate the lease terms. They took my trade at blue book and got me out and on the road quick. I am all about instant gratification and this time they delivered. They met my price on the new car and trade, there was full disclosure over the numbers and they respected my need to get out of there (it was a Sunday - football was on). I should also mention that they have been good about responding and with their pricing when I have made email or Internet inquiries. More

I did alot of up front research before visiting Koons of Manassas and told them exactly what price i wanted to pay for the 2011 Ridgeline.
