My overall experience has been good. The only concern that I have is my 60,000 mile service turns out to be over $1,000 expenses. This did includes to 10% discount. There are a few things I hate more than buying a car, it is right up there next to getting a root canal among the things I least want to do. Normally, I decide what car I want, what I want on it, and send my husband off to do the dirty work of dealing. The hunt begins when I'm forced into a showroom to actually take a look. I come with my husband, prepared to identify the target car and depart to a quiet corner with a good book while he does the rest. My husband takes what he learns from our first stop, and goes to every dealership around, to the internet and contacts buying services before making his decision to purchase. I stay out of it as much as possible. The day the new Honda came home, we agreed beforehand that our trip was purely research and that a new car, if we even wanted one, was weeks or months in the future. With book in hand, I entered Koon's Honda, looking for a nice chair to run to the minute things began to get irritating. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. Our sales representative, Ernest Martin was helpful, gracious, and delightful. His team mate, James Lavender was equally gracious, helpful and knowlegeable. Their quote to us was so fair, that at the end of the day, we went home in a new Honda Odyssey. I remained at the table throughout the entire process. My book unopened. I enjoyed pleasant conversation with Ernest, James, the accessorizing lady and the finance manager. My husband, suprprised by his own reactions, muttered something about how he might have missed something by not going through his usual routine, but he certainly did not miss the hassle and he was as happy as I was with the process. We are delighted with our experience, pleased with the Odyssey and looking forward to continuing good relations with Koons Honda. More
I went in for a VA state inspection on Saturday 2-5-11 at 8 am. I did not have a prior appointment set. Mr. Carroll got me in and out within 45 minutes. I was very happy to get the inspection completed wi 8 am. I did not have a prior appointment set. Mr. Carroll got me in and out within 45 minutes. Great place to go, just call and go in and get things done! Very knowledgeable and very great with their personal committment. Never have had a problem with them, have been going to them from December of 2001 to present for all my service needs and buying new cars. They are a great bunch of people and I actually drive to Manassas from Leesburg and go to Koons Honda there, as I get better response and customer service that I cannot find up here at Leesburg Honda. The expense of traveling further is worth it. Great bunch of people - Great Job!!!!!! More
Very prompt service, especially since it was an afternoon following a heavy snow storm. Presume that many folks chose to stay home, but very glad the technitions made it to work ! The person that spoke with me after the service (brake repair) was complete was very knowledgable and took some extra time with me explaining potential symptoms that could occur in the future and offered some helpful advise on further preventative maintenance to consider (Brake fluid flush). On 24 Jan 11 I had my 2006 PILOT serviced (75k maintenance, trans flush, differential flush). Driving the car the next couple days I heard a squeel from the right rear and committed to get it looked at. Then we were hit by the ice storm 26 Jan. I heard other noises from under the car thereafter, worrying me that something was wrong with the transmission. I coordinated with Kristen to have it evaluated Sat 29 Jan a week later. The un-named mechanic who worked the car brought me to the maintenance garage and showed me the issues: Ice/snow had bent the heat-shield on the exhaust pipe leading to the muffler and it was rubbing and vibrating with the accelerations of the drive-shaft. He bent it back in place, and when I suggested a oversized washer would hold the heat shield in-place better, he repaired it accordingly. He also explained the squeeling was my rear break pad on disk that warped ocassionally when disk temperature changed and not to worry since brakes were fine. Sound mechanical evaluation/repair and the mechanic was friendly and explained and showed me exactly what he found and was doing. Kristen was also friendly, prompt and ensure I was complete in minimal time although Sat was very busy with customers; superb customer service! Only recommendation is KOONS inform Honda that PILOT design of the heat-shield needs be adjusted to prevent under-carriage damage from snow/ice and debris in future PILOT models. I have been using Koons for years. It is where I purchased my Honda Civic Hybrid and where I have it serviced. At all times the experience has been exceptional and the personnel are very friendly a purchased my Honda Civic Hybrid and where I have it serviced. I also appreciate that service personnel are aware of what service I need, what has been done in the past, and what service I dont need. They also point me to coupons etc that can help save me money. This is exceptional for a dealer and greatly appreciated. Its a reason I keep coming back. More
I brought my 2006 Odyssey in for a recall appointment and was greeted right away. They took the van back quickly, quoted me a time and called me on my cell as soon as it was ready. I always use Koons of Manassas to service my CRV because I feel comfortable knowing they are familiar with the car they are servicing and have the correct and best material and knowledge to get the work don I feel comfortable knowing they are familiar with the car they are servicing and have the correct and best material and knowledge to get the work done. In the 5 years that I have been going to this dealership I have always found them to be friendly, responsive to my requests and needs. I appreiciate the fact that I can go at my convenience and I don't have to leave my car unless I choose to do so, and the wait is always reasonable. I keep coming back because they are up front with me about what they do and I have always had a good expereince with them. More
