I have been remiss in sending a thank you to Bob Minor and another gentleman (I didn't get his name) at Koons Honda. They provided EXCEPTIONAL customer service to me on the afternoon of our March 2011 sno and another gentleman (I didn't get his name) at Koons Honda. They provided EXCEPTIONAL customer service to me on the afternoon of our March 2011 snowstorm. When I left my office to go home at 4:00 p.m., there was already several inches of snow on the ground and meteorologists were predicting further heavy snow of up 2-3 inches per hour. I started clearing the snow off of my car. All was well until I lifted up my right windshield wiper. To my dismay, it came off in my hand. I was unable to reattach it. Since the roads were deteriorating quickly, and I live 40 minutes away, calling my husband wasn't an option. I knew many businesses had closed early for the day and I was praying Koons was still open. Fortunately, Koons was open and Bob Minor told me to bring my car right over. I looked pretty comical as I pulled into the bay -- one wiper was working and the other arm was sticking straight out so I wouldn't scratch my windshield. Bob immediately came over to assist me. Another gentleman noticed that one of my headlights was out. I had the bulb in the car and while Bob re-attached my wiper, the other gentlemen installed my headlight bulb. Within less than 10 minutes, they had the wiper back on and the headlight bulb installed. The snow was coming down fast and furious. Snow trucks could not get through --- cars were all over the road and tractor trailers could not make it up the hills on Route 29. It took me 4.5 hours to get home that night. I cannot imagine what I would have done that evening if Bob and the other gentleman had not taken care of my car. It was a horrific commute, but they were the bright spot in my day. I kept thinking on the way home how fortunate I was and how kind they were to me. For a number of years now, I have been taking my cars to Koons Honda for all my service work. Bob Minor is usually my service advisor. He has ALWAYS provided me with OUTSTANDING service!!!! He is always smiling and pleasant. Additionally, he is very thorough and explains all the service recommendations to me. I can't thank Bob enough for the service he has provided to me over the years! I thank all the other advisors that have assisted with my service as well. It's easy to be a loyal customer when you have quality service advisors like Bob Minor!! Respectfully, Sharon Dwyer More

The sale of the vehicle was a good experience, and the finance person was great. But the first red flag was when I was told that I would have to come back for another key and it would only take a few min finance person was great. But the first red flag was when I was told that I would have to come back for another key and it would only take a few minutes, even though the check list in the vehicle stated that there were 2 keys. I also noticed that there were no interior matts, so I was told that there would be some there when I came by to pick up the spare key. When I came to pick up the key I was brought some MDX matts even though I bought an Odyssey. I talked to the manager and he stated that he would make sure he gets back to me but haven't heard anything. Then I get a survey call, and I stated that same thing, and he stated that he would make sure I get a call but nothing again. Then I get a survey in the mail, and state the same issue an nothing once again. I am a first and last time customer and am extremely disappointed that I spent $27,000 there for a vehicle, and was not even given a call back for something that probably costs Honda $150. I would think that Koons would treat their first time buyers better to gain more future business, but that was not the case at all here. i have not able to obtain state stickers because Koon's wanted other repair done to the car without having any revelance to passing the emission reuirement. As service customers for over four years, our experience has been consistently excellent! The staff is knowledgable and accommodating (both schedules and budgets) and really treat us like they do at the lu has been consistently excellent! The staff is knowledgable and accommodating (both schedules and budgets) and really treat us like they do at the luxury car dealerships (we also have a BMW to compare). Joe Carroll (and Steve Dill before him) have advised and guided us very soundly so far during the 80K miles on our Odyssey. Mike Clancy runs a great shop and gives his lieutenants the leeway to do what's right for the customer - and it shows in every interaction we've had there. We've never considered another service option for either our Honda or GMC and have recommended many friends and neighbors to Joyce Koons' service. Our new car purchase experience at this dealership was abysmal and I'm not sure I'd go back here to buy another Honda, I'd have to see a DRASTIC change on that side of the house. But regardless where we purchase our next Honda, as long as Mike and Joe are still there, we're giving Joyce Koons Honda our business exclusively! More
I have driven from Reston to have my car serviced here for years because I trusted them to be honest with me. But at my last visit they told me my battery needed to be replaced. They gave me a printout sa for years because I trusted them to be honest with me. But at my last visit they told me my battery needed to be replaced. They gave me a printout saying the battery failed a load test. It was only 9 months old and when I got it tested somewhere else it was fine. I went back to the place where I bought it and he put a big load on it and the battery tested out as excellent. He said he's seen this several times where dealerships give out bogus "bad" battery tests to try and make a sale. I do not appreciate that!! I don't drive down to Manassas to get ripped off. I can't trust them to be honest with me anymore. More
I purchased my Honda from Koons, but I regularly use several Acura dealerships in the Washington DC metro area, (recently Pohanka) for servicing my Honda and Acura cars, because I have found that the se several Acura dealerships in the Washington DC metro area, (recently Pohanka) for servicing my Honda and Acura cars, because I have found that the service from the Acura dealerships is exceptional or great compared to the average or good service from Koons. I only recently used the Koons service center because the Acura dealers did not have the ability to update the hybrid computer software. Please advise the service staff; Attitudes and respect for the customers can move this service center from OK to very good. The "BEST" or "holy-grail" of exemplary service (with DAYS of lasting impact) is after taking time out of my hectic day to squeeze in a dreaded car service repair, and deal with the "I-66 commute" (depressed after an hour+ in traffic); IS, picking up my car after the repair and sitting in a clean car, washed, dry, vacuumed and smelling good, makes me feel like the car runs better even if the service department did none-thing to affect the ride. Then each day for the next few days I get ready to make that "I-66 commute" and get back into a proud clean car and remember the great service again. This makes me feel better about spending the money to get a car repaired. Then suddenly I need to use the wind-shield washer and remember "darn" I did not fill it, but to my surprise the service center took care of that also, WOW!! now I think to myself they took care of all kinds of things that I don't even know about. I am a valued customer, and feel proud to bring my car to this service center!! That is the experience, that I have had from the Acura service center, no not every time but several times, and is why I keep going back. More
