I was surprised that because I was paying for the car with a bank teller's check, this was a red flag to them that mandated my social security number for some kind of security/background check and answering security questions. There was also a very hard sell for the extra warranty coverage. I first said no, but that only made the finance person come back at me with a harder sell. I kept hearing how much he loved the state of New Jersey, but this state has so many potholes, I need the extra coverage because of my very expensive but apparently fragile high performance tires. I finally took the coverage but none of this was a pleasant experience. More
