Purchased a 2021 TLX Type-S CASH off the show room floor in March of 2022 and promised a car cover and windshield cover when they came in and to this day still haven't received a call or anything. I spent 7 in March of 2022 and promised a car cover and windshield cover when they came in and to this day still haven't received a call or anything. I spent 7k over MSRP because I couldn't wait and they could care less to at least give me a few freebies for my car which I was promised. More
I had a great experience buying my vehicle. I would give 5 stars for that. However, I have tried contacting this dealership daily for 10 days now about my plates that still are not in and I hav I would give 5 stars for that. However, I have tried contacting this dealership daily for 10 days now about my plates that still are not in and I have been driving around with expired tags. I just wanted to see what the status was of the plates and if I can get new tags with a new expiration date. I have left many messages, sent emails, used the chat feature on the website which I was ensured someone would contact me, and spoke to the young lady that answers the phone and she did not even know who else to connect me with. Very horrible customer service. If I get a ticket for expired tags I will not be happy! More
I would not recommend buying from this dealership to ANYBODY. The price and car advertised online were not the price and vehicle offered. We saw a ‘Certified Pre-Owned TLX’ on the dealer website for a g ANYBODY. The price and car advertised online were not the price and vehicle offered. We saw a ‘Certified Pre-Owned TLX’ on the dealer website for a great price, when we got the ‘final cost’ it had the price listed online plus an additional $1696 for it to be CPO’d (though it was listed as a CPO Acura) and an additional $799 for the tint and low jack package which were ALREADY on the vehicle. Not to mention, the description describes the cost as inclusive of these features. When we asked the manager why they’d advertise one price then add on costs for features that were advertised (and already on the vehicle) we were told “all dealerships do that.” After some negotiation we drove nearly 3 hours to also find out the photos online were not of the actual vehicle, but a vehicle with a higher trim. Photos showed wireless charging and HUD which were not actually features of the vehicle. Furthermore we were told financing was as low as 3.9% so we applied online and came in only to be told that with an excellent credit score the best rate we could get was 10 PERCENT! When we told them we were already approved for a better rate through our credit union we were told that we would have to get a purchase order, take it to our credit union (in Austin) and return with a Money Order from the credit union. What in the 1989 crap is this?! Also, I have many years of experience with dealership purchases and I have never not had a manager come acknowledge me or thank me for my business. Overall very unprofessional and misleading. More
In August 2024 purcsed my first and last car from John Eagle Acura. I traded in and paid cash for the remaining balance on my 2024 MDX. The salesman was great, David, but everything after him has bee Eagle Acura. I traded in and paid cash for the remaining balance on my 2024 MDX. The salesman was great, David, but everything after him has been a nightmare. My story is as follows: Purchased a car in early August and returned the car 7 days later due to significant steering issue. JE Sales Manager agreed to the replace the car, “ like for like” at “ (“$0”) but failed to tell me the extended and specific warrantees I purchased originally would not transfer and would have to be repurchased. I learned this when the second car came in while transferring the paperwork. , I was told at transfer initially that the cost to keep the same coverages I had bought originally was an additional $6700 to my account. I was outraged since I was only in the predicament due to the failure of the first car and not aware of these additional cost. . After a couple hours going back and forth with the finance department, I was offered a deal that cost me the NITRO tire warranty ($1150) + $350 dollars out of pocket in order to drive out the new car. ( It is clear to me JE knew they had me over a barrel and did their best take advantage of me.) One of the services I purchased, under protest, included LoJack which JE puts on all its cars. I did not want Lojack due to costs and value but was told at closing JE will not sale a car without it. JE finance people worked hard at closing on the first car to sell warranties without discussing and explaining what i was really buying. I explicitly told the finance person at first closing I did not want a tire warranty (NITRO) but somehow he put it on the sheet. I did sign the sales approval but missed this NTRI addition likely due to a long process, many documents and overall long day. I accept my responsibility but clearly missed this on the contract. In the end, There sales/finance staff clearly tried to take advantage of me and were successful taking $1500 additional from me based on the loss of NITRO and extra Out of pocket. Although I did not want this NITRO warranty, I paid for it but now do not have it to satisfy JE numbers. I only agreed to this deal due to my disgust with these people and wanting to get away as soon as I could. My suggestion to anyone looking for an Acura, look around at other dealers before going to JE. If a person decides on purchasing a vehicle from JE I suggest take your lawyer, since these people are only considerate to their bottom line at the expense of their customers at the end of the day based on my experience. John Eagle Is responsible for my awful buying experience and tainted my initial enjoyment of my new car. More
It is hardly even worth writing a review since the other reviews make it so obvious to avoid this dealership. They advertised a car as CPO and then tried to charge me for the certification. Talk about a bai reviews make it so obvious to avoid this dealership. They advertised a car as CPO and then tried to charge me for the certification. Talk about a bait and switch. The sales manager tried to convince me that this was SOP for all dealerships. Try your scams on someone else buddy. You wasted my time, but I'm glad you showed your true colors. More
I recently purchased my very first vehicle from John Eagle Acura at the end of February. It was highly maintained by the original owner, and the 2nd owner only had it for a brief time. Before purchas Eagle Acura at the end of February. It was highly maintained by the original owner, and the 2nd owner only had it for a brief time. Before purchasing the vehicle I asked for a few some things to get resolved. When I learned that the vehicle was going to be sold as is... I asked for a few things to be touched up, with the paint and wheels and windshield. They did do touch up work on the major paint issues after purchasing but the other scratched I mentioned were untouched. The texture of the wheels did looked better but the work was sloppy and it was visibly clear that wheels were grinded on. When I returned regarding the issues, I was told there the warranty I got was only covered mechanical issues. Even tho I was told during signing is was bumper to bumper coverage. I was then told to file a claim through the different warranty it was an appearance package, that's supposed to cover the paint, leather, and carpet of the vehicle. So I filed the claim to only be told that paint damage or paint work isn't cover my the appearance package. So I honestly don't know the almost $1.5k Im paying for covers exactly. I have receipts of messages regarding the aggreed upon work to be done with purchasing the vehicle. I regret not recording the phone calls and I person conversation made, I'm not a distrusting person... I had full trust that everything I had discussed with the manger, finance team, and sales rep would be honored. The buying process was a bit hectic due to me having a parent being a co-signer. Though some issues were I initiated when credit was being pulled without consent and after told to not pull anymore. The remaining issues were more personal. We did end with agreeable rates and final cost, but now I feel like that "aggreeable cost" came with being neglected after signing everything. I feel like the pass times I mentioned or went back to the dealership about if the preagreed issues would be done. I simply just kept getting pushed to a different departments until I made a full loop around. I'm now having to spend hundreds of dollars to get these issues resolved. I went back today due to some new concerns. One being a rattling noise on my sun roof that progressively getting worse. I'm not sure if it is the Houston roads or what, but just to get a diagnosis was going to cost me nearly $800, thats before finding the initial cause and issue. Lesson learn don't view a car at night and don't buy car at night. Record and save every discussion made. First time buyers don't let the excitement cloud you're thinking. Overall most of the staff are willing and helpful. Maybe they didn't understand me or my concerns. Maybe they simply are too busy and just over looked the thinks we discussed. I'm not into sales or a mechanic, but I do know business and the current economic effects on the auto industry. I can understand but not agree to how it seems/feels like I have gotten the short end of stick. More
I came to this dealership because I decided to get an Acura, this time, after my infinity got totaled. I just wanted to try something different. Because inflation was sky high, I was needing to get the b Acura, this time, after my infinity got totaled. I just wanted to try something different. Because inflation was sky high, I was needing to get the best price possible….I would say even more so than usual, this was the case. I drove all the way to Katy from Tomball, because they had a low mileage RDX, for less than I was able to find at the North side dealership. But the sales lady immediately tried to hike the price up by about 2500 dollars with some care package that, knowing me, would ever really use. I told her, you gotta take it off because then it defeats the purpose of why I drove all the way down there. She was, of course, disappointed. They were also only willing to take off 500 from their advertised price, so they were very resistant to coming down on price, more than I have seen before. Then, I had already been preapproved for USAA financing, which is always my choice on any car I have ever bought. i have never met so much resistance to using the financing of my choice. They were so resistant and basically coerced me into using the financing of THEIR choice. I really felt railroaded and kind of like my choice of financing rights were prohibited. As a result, I now have this APR that is much higher. I really should have just walked away and not purchased the vehicle. Now I am stuck, and when inquiring about maybe getting the scratches buffed out, It can’t even get a call back. I should have just stuck with Sewell products. Lesson learned. Never again. More
