I had done the research prior to going to Ellena Honda so I knew what I was looking for. Matt was the main salesperson I worked with and he was able to find what I wanted in a short period of time. Dealership was having big sale - drove in and Matt was there to help me. I zeroed in on a crossover - loved the way it looked - the ride and after negotiations and the price was good purchased it. Back in June I had an issue with my car oxidizing. I stopped in to see if Honda would take care of the issue. I was told no as the paint was not under warranty at this point. I understood this. None the less, I decided that I would not purchase another Honda due to my bad paint job. Today, I took my car in for service. While waiting for my car to be serviced Bowe started talking with my husband and I. Bowe mentioned how good my car looks and I informed him I was not happy with it as it was oxidizing and I would not be purchasing another Honda because of it. I also let him know that the CRV was #1 on my list to consider when the time come to purchase a new vehicle. Bowe went back and talked with Larry to see if anything could be done. Larry later advised us that Honda come out with news in August that my car was one of the color's that Honda will fix the paint on. Needless to say, I am very please with both Bowe and Larry. Because of these two gentlemen, the CRV is back on the top of my list for when I am ready to purchase a new vehicle.. More
My friend had to rent a car for the past week + because her car a 1996 Saturn died suddenly. It was obvious she needed a new car, and she requested I assist her in finding the right dealership...and did I her car a 1996 Saturn died suddenly. My first visit to the internet found a single President's Award winning dealership. This was my signal to head straight to Jack Ellena's website even though the dealership was no where near the closest to my friend's home or office. However, a single visit to the Jack Ellena website confirmed why they had won that award from Honda. I was immediately connected with an instant chat, and that chat turned into hearing from Monte Lala on Monday morning. Monte could not have given better customer service. He listened intently on the issue my friend was facing, and he immediately set about to work with both my friend and I, along with his management for financing to get her into her new Honda Civic by Tuesday, all no money down and a small dealer fee of $99 + tax! This was a most welcome surprise after my friend had seen ads where there were thousands of dollars due at signing. Monte took the time to work on getting all approvals done by the time my friend was ready to meet him for her appointment. She left her office for that meeting thinking the earliest she would have her car would be Thursday. What did Monte do? He made arrangements to have her drop off her rent-a-car at Enterprise near the dealership, instead of having to bring it back to Kansas City, so that she could drive home in her new car that night. His assistance saved her an additional 2 days of car rental, not to mention, saving her another trip up from Kansas City. The get-it-done attitude showed my friend and I that this is a most caring dealership. This type of dedication to the consumer is a hallmark of greatness, and it's no wonder why Jack Ellena's dealership has the President's Award. I highly recommend working with the best for anyone looking for a vehicle..Honda and Jack Ellena's personnel...a true dynamic duo. More

It was by far the most pleasant car buying experience we've ever had. We went into the dealership knowing what we wanted and hoped they could make it happen. Our sales consultant, Bowe Gribble, worked with us AND for us and certainly did make it all happen. We are thrilled with our new car and the terrific experience and wouldn't think of going anywhere else. The dealership is 40 miles from our home, but for oil changes and all maintenance we will definitely head up Lawrence. We were treated like family....what a great feeling!! Bowe helped us identify a reliable used vehicle that fit into our tight budget. I’m sure his commission on most car sales is much higher, but he gave us top-notch customer service, helping us narrow down what was most important for our family at this stage and contacting Toyota when necessary to answer our questions about the vehicle. It had been over a decade since we had purchased a car, and we were somewhat apprehensive about the process, particularly after we visited another dealer in town and had a very negative experience. But our experience with Jack Ellen was completely different—Bowe listened to what we told him, respected our situation and our preferences, and never pushed us in other directions or hurried us to purchase before we were ready. Never buy from this dealer. Purchased a "certified pre-owned" Odyssey from this dealer, expecting a safe vehicle that had been thoroughly inspected. Instead, 5 months later, we were in an accident wit pre-owned" Odyssey from this dealer, expecting a safe vehicle that had been thoroughly inspected. Instead, 5 months later, we were in an accident with one of our children secured in a car seat in the driver's side second row captain's seat. Upon impact with the other vehicle, both captain's seats came completely detached from the floor of the vehicle. Our 3-year old's face slammed into the driver's seat and he had lacerations on his face and bruising on his body. We had never taken the seats out before - ever. The body shop said the seats appeared to have never been installed correctly. Attempts to resolve with the ownership and sales management at Jack Ellena have not even been taken seriously. We are lucky our son wasn't seriously injured or killed. Buy from a dealer that cares about more than just collecting your money. And be vary wary of Honda's certification process. Apparently dealer's inspections are far from complete. More
