We were casually shopping for a vehicle. We browsed online at our local dealerships in St. Joseph. I travel frequently, have teenagers in our home requiring vehicles and it was just time to purchase online at our local dealerships in St. Joseph. I travel frequently, have teenagers in our home requiring vehicles and it was just time to purchase another vehicle. With little time for shopping due to hectic schedules and no desire to haggle, I filled out the online application, gained preapproval for credit, and thought I was going into my local dealership to “shop” their inventory. Let’s just say that between the waiting, constantly changing prices, and just the general “used car” salesman treatment, we left! Through all of this, I fell in love with the Honda CRV EX-L. With a little luck, we found ten online, one of them was at Jack Ellena Honda in Lawrence. I filled out the online inquiry assuming that I would get similar results. Let’s just say that the entire process was extremely painless! Monty called me early the next day, verified the vehicle I was interested in, asked where I needed to be with the price, and gained approval in minutes for the price. I got a vehicle a year newer, better condition, and at the same price initially agreed to with the first dealership…without haggling. My fiancée happened to be in Topeka that day, stopped and looked at the vehicle in Lawrence on his way home. Monty, Erica, and even the sales manager went out of their way to accommodate his last minute test drive. So, we drove down the next morning, paperwork was ready when we arrived, vehicle was already detailed, and were treated as if we were buying a new car instead of a used one! I have purchased new vehicles and used vehicles before. Often times, used vehicle purchases aren’t as friendly as new car purchases. I cannot say enough how it felt like a new car purchase. Not only was the vehicle pristine condition, but the staff (everyone we encountered) treated us as if we had just purchased a new vehicle, not a 2 year old vehicle. This was ridiculously easy. Literally confirmed the vehicle, got the price where I wanted to be in minutes, confirmed when I would come down to buy it, paperwork completed prior to my arrival, wrote the check, got the keys, and on my way! That’s the way it should be! My fiancée had been waiting for a newer car for himself. After the treatment I received at Jack Ellena, he says his vehicle purchase will have to come sooner than he anticipated. And I know where he’s shopping first! We are extremely grateful for how easy all of this was! More

Matt was great at finding cars to fit my needs. After trying several I found the one I purchased. I had some reservations about it initially (thought it didn't have enough leg room) but it was otherwise trying several I found the one I purchased. Monty and Matthew were very knowledgable about the cars they were selling and were very polite and provided a nice experience on every visit.
