I was fortunate enough to find a 2022 Honda CRV at Honda of Valley Stream, even during the short inventories caused in part by the chip deficits. Steve Calderone in Sales was gracious and patient, even as I anxiously called him each week to find out the status of the vehicle that I had put the down payment on. Once the vehicle arrived (within the promised time frame) things moved quickly to delivery. I am very pleased with the sales department, especially give the difficult inventory conditions they were operating under. The car had a vibration and loud rattle at speed after I took delivery and I had to bring it back for service with only 700 miles on it. I ended up waiting 4-5 hours while they did their trouble shooting. It's very difficult to pinpoint the source of a vibration in any complex product, especially one with so many individual parts so I should not have been surprised that it took so long. Willie, the service manager, was clear and patient as he explained the steps they took to locate the issue. Once found, they effected the repair and road tested it in about 30 minutes. I brought my 2003 Honda Civic to have slipping in the transmission checked out and to see why the key sometimes wouldn't start the car plus a few more minor things. I met Martin the advisor and went over transmission checked out and to see why the key sometimes wouldn't start the car plus a few more minor things. I met Martin the advisor and went over what needed to be done and left. When he called me thre were very few useful answers; when I pickup the car, the report we went over was not very helpful. The only thing that was resolved was my back window worked now. After paying 4 x $150 diagnostic totaling $651 I left and went next door to the parts dept to have a key cut because I only got one from the previous owner. To my surprise the new key corrected the starting issue and the car started fine. I had to pay $97 for this new key. The following day when I started the car and let it worm-up the check engine light came on. (This has not happened before) and the engine was struggling to stay on. I had to drive in 1st gear to my mechanic who luckily was near by. This is a Honda dealer I don't think all this should be allowed to happen to me for a car your company built... Overall I just felt like I came to the dealership, got a lot of talk, paid a lot of money and got very little to show for it. PS you also need a system for customers to self service and find out what's going on with there car while it is in the shop. Pepboys a much less sophisticated company than Honda has this... When I drop my car off at Pepboys I can check and get messages telling what's going on and when I will be ready. When I dropped my car off with you I felt like it went into a black hole and came out on the other side with very few answers or results and a hefty bill. More
