I expected to purchase a certified 2022 BMW 330i. I tried to work with Ed in Sales. He was very pleasant and knew that I would be buying a replacement car over the week-end. I told him I was looking at two certified vehicles across the street and asked what he could offer for financing. He threw out a ridiculous number and said I could probably do better on my own. I did my research and found out that BMW US was offering special financing on the certified 2022-2023 BMWs. Never did he mention the special rate if you qualify during our long conversation about rates. Then, I asked if the price could be negotiated because the car was overpriced. He said he talked to his manager (Sean King) and his manger said no. Fair enough that was not a concern at that point. I knew what the car was worth and if they did not want to bring the price down that was the decision of management. I went across the street the next day and bought a Mercedes. Ed then proceeded to send me a message and stated that he wanted to earn my business and he knew I was getting low financing and a better deal across the street. He asked what he could do price/financing wise to earn my business. He still did not bother to tell me about the BMW special financing rates. I told him .. "nothing" as I already told him I was buying a car over the week-end and I did just that. I am not into the back and forth. Give me your best financing rate that is a BMW known rate (not a BMW of Sudbury rate) and give me a price on the car. The used car salesmen techniques of the past don't work in today's market. The dealership is beautiful, but work with someone at the dealership that will work with you. In the “rate the people you work with” section on this form Ed is not even listed which is questionable? Was he new? More
