I would highly recommend Hendrick Toyota from the Sales staff all the way to the service department. Used to be a Ford guy but not anymore. More

Since then, I have had the pleasure of working with Brian from the service department every time I take my car in for maintenance. He always gives me a detailed description of what I am going to have done with my car and goes over his recommendations for upcoming services. Service Dept Sabotaged my Vehicle My vehicle has been serviced by Hendrick Toytota in Apex for their last 4 years. I took the vehicle to them last August to have the TPS replaced. Th My vehicle has been serviced by Hendrick Toytota in Apex for their last 4 years. I took the vehicle to them last August to have the TPS replaced. They weren't able to replace the TPS because Toyota changed the part's design part of the way through the model year. That's not their fault. However, they damaged an air snorkel and I had to pay to replace it. About 1.5 months after that service the vehicle's on board computer lit its check engine light. After reading the codes from the ECM I learned that the ECM had detected a heater failure in the downstream O2 sensor. I replaced the sensor with a new sensor that I purchased from Hendrick. That did not resolve the problem. After more diagnostic work I traced the problem down to a connector on the ECM that was not properly seated into the ECM. After reseating the connector the issue with the O2 sensor disappeared. In the process of accessing the connector I observed the a vent duct was not seated properly. The duct must be moved to gain access to the ECM. I've never accessed the area myself nor has Hendrick ever had a reason to access this area and the ECM. The connector that was not seated properly is a locking connector so it could not has become dislodged on its on. I firmly believe that someone at Hendrick accessed the area where the ECM is, unlocked the connector, gently pulled the connector out so it would eventually back out on its own, then reinstalled the AC duct and glove compartment to introduce the very problem that I encountered. Hendrick denies any such activity but the fact that they've been servicing the vehicle over the last 4 years and that there is clear evidence that someone has accessed the ECM tells me that Hendrick introduced this problem in order to get me to take the vehicle back to then for more service and parts. They used to be really good but after this I've concluded that they cannot be trusted. If you value your Toyota you'd be well advised to take it somewhere else for service. More
