Haley Buick GMC Airport responded

This truck was not a sold order and a deposit was never taken. We ordered the truck with the specifications that the customer wanted by email and gave the customer first right or refusal once the truck arrived. Before the truck was produced, General Motors discontinued the 20-inch chrome wheel that was on the original stock order due to a wheel plant explosion. General Motors forced the 20-inch machined aluminum wheel in order to produce the truck at all. Without the wheel change, the truck would have never been produced at all. At the time of the truck's arrival, the customer looked at the truck and decided to buy it. The price of the truck was $400.00 less than originally discussed due to the wheel credit. At that time, the customer introduced interest in buying the Borla exhaust system. The customer had been on some non-GM websites pricing the exhaust system which included the exhaust system and exhaust tips but no labor(installation). The GM website included the exhaust system with labor(installation). The two prices were very similar. However, us at the dealership failed to realize that the GM exhaust tips were sold separately at an additional expense of a couple of hundred dollars(some customers don't even want the exhaust tips). The salesman told the customer of the additional expense for the tips due to the fact the customer was on a non-GM website, not the official GM website that we were on. The customer called the sales manager and wanted the tips thrown in for free. The sales manager agreed to throw the tips in and the customer said that would make the customer completely satisfied with their purchase. We ordered a truck that we only get two of in an entire year at a tremendous price and even without a 100% commitment of their purchase. Our sales CSI(customer satisfaction Index) is a 97.3% and ranks in the top 5% of all GM dealers. We feel bad that the customer feels this way but we feel we have done everything we can to rectify the situation. Our sales performance in GMC and customer satisfaction allowed us to get this rare truck at all with it's limited availability.
