Great experience. Friendly staff, clean and timely. I have purchased cars in the past and this was the best experience I’ve had thus far. Thank you have purchased cars in the past and this was the best experience I’ve had thus far. Thank you More
I was looking for a 2022 Atlas and I found a good selection in inventory, not so easy these days. Christian helped with test drive and answered all my questions and highlighted the features of the di selection in inventory, not so easy these days. Christian helped with test drive and answered all my questions and highlighted the features of the different trims. He respected by decision process and timeline, and scheduled a second test drive under different driving conditions. He made the purchase process less painful by keeping me informed as we went through it even though he was working with another purchase at the same time. More
They lied in the internet ad about the car saying that it had Bluetooth - it does not. They detailed the car nicely except for the armrest storage which was filled with dirty tissues and debris from Taco Bel had Bluetooth - it does not. They detailed the car nicely except for the armrest storage which was filled with dirty tissues and debris from Taco Bell including receipts that dated from after their acquisition of the car. I was going to give them a pass, but they have texted me three times asking for a review. Well, here it is. 2 weeks later: the dealership reached out to ask if they could help. I asked if they would consider adding aftermarket Bluetooth - and they never responded. I have edited my rating from 2 stars to 1. More
The most unprofessional service center I have ever dealt with. No only have they had my car for 3 weeks, but after they called me to tell me it’s ready, which it wasn’t, they told me if I don’t bring back with. No only have they had my car for 3 weeks, but after they called me to tell me it’s ready, which it wasn’t, they told me if I don’t bring back the loaner car today, they would activate the GPS to locate it and will remove it from my driveway! I’ve had to engage regional care and corporate at this point due to how bad this dealer has treated us! Did I mention this is a car that’s been in their service center 34 of the 56 days that I have owned it?!?!? More
First and last service visit with this VW. Purchased my atlas three months ago, still under warranty. This location tried to charge me to have my vehicle looked at for an air bag error. Then they told me t atlas three months ago, still under warranty. This location tried to charge me to have my vehicle looked at for an air bag error. Then they told me they drove the car around and the light went away. So they didn’t do anything about the problem just ignored it and they tried to tell me I “probably got into an accident but didn’t realize it.” My car was in the garage… We also asked if they could clean it since we were dropping it off. They said they would but the car was 5x dirtier after we left. More
Short version: 2 stars out of 5 i was disappointed that Greg Domenico laid to me and took advantage of me. Long version: I was driving one day and my tire hit a nail on the road. I wanted to go too the Greg Domenico laid to me and took advantage of me. Long version: I was driving one day and my tire hit a nail on the road. I wanted to go too the Gurnee Volkswagen because 3 years ago i gave them 5 out of 5 stars for their service and professionalism. One of my family members told me not to go to a dealership because "they'll try to squeeze more money out of you". I told her i went to this dealership 3 years ago and they treated me extremely well what can go wrong, so i decided to go to the Gurnee Volkswagen to see if they can fix ONLY one of my four tires that had the nail. I set up a appointment with Greg Domenico to check it out. I arrived and Gabriela (who was very nice me 10-5 stars for her friendliness and professionalism) told me it may take time for my car to be checked out i told her it'll be no problem I'll wait at the guest area. Almost 4 hours later Greg came to me and said that they saw the nail in my tire and also said one of my tires were very worn down. He said "I'll replace those 2 wheels for you for this price is that ok?". At this point i was very tired and had a headache and i told him fine do it. After they performed the job i thought they did a excellent job, until i realized that the 2 new tires they installed on my vehicle didn't match up with my other 2 tires. They were from different companies. I was like what the xxxx! Why would they give me mismatch tires? And me and my family conducted research on Volkswagen tirs and when it comes to their tires life expectancy. We found out that Volkswagen vehicles don't need new tires until they reach at least 20k miles, my car barely broke the 10k in miles. One the next day one of my family members made another appointment and we went to the dealership to find out why did they installed me 2 wheels that are not a match to my other tires. When we arrived i told Greg that "you told me that one tire had a nail in it(which is true) and the other tire was very worn down; that you'll give me 2 new tires. You didn't warned me that the 2 tires won't match my other 2 tires". Greg claimed that he did warned me and he further explaind to me that he also told me the day before they didn't had my car tires in stock and that it was all in the paper work. Greg tried to show me his paper work to prove his claim. But there was no where in his paper work that stated that my tires weren't stock. I ask him can he take back the tires and give me my money back; Greg said no because I drove off on them. Even though it was less then 24 hours since got these new tires. Me and a family members both agreed that this was unacceptable and we asked for his boss. Greg's boss Matthew Walden came out and we explained the situation to him. Matthew asked Greg to check the "worn out" tire to see if it was worn out and Matthew explained to us that if it is worn out then we're out of luck but if it's not then he'll help us out. 5 minutes later Greg came and stated to Matthew that the worn out tire that he told me the day before it was worn out was actually wasn't a worn out tire; it's still a good tire. After that (non)shocking revelation Matthew told Greg to give me 2 new tires so they can match the tries from yesterday(for free). After that Greg wanted to say to me "sorry i treat all customers cars as if it's my moms or grandma car" well i guess he treats their cars poorly as well to and kept on saying he's sorry this; sorry that. In conclusion, 3 years ago i came to this Gurnee Volkswagen car service and gave it a 5 out of 5 stars because they didn't took advantage of me into giving them more money, they treated me very well and professional and I've grown to turst them. Now i have to give this Gurnee Volkswagen a 2-5 stars because they broken that trust. Greg lied to me and tried to take advantage of me and that's not cool. My trust in Gurnee Volkswagen (car service) is gone and unfortunately I'll never come here agian. If your coming to Gurnee Volkswagen to service for your vehicle beware of Greg. The only reason I'm not giving this place a 1-5 stars is because. One, Matthew Walden was extremely nice, honest and professional with us 10 stars out of 5. Second, Gabriela who's extremely nice to customers and makes you well welcome at the Gurnee Volkswagen she gets 10 stars out of 5. Lastly Matthew helped us resolve the issue with my tires not matching and I'm extremely grateful, thank you Matthew Walden; thank you Gabriela you was extremely kind and caring towards me. More
I called with a problem I'e had for the past year and I keep being told that the trouble with the key fob battery going out after a month. I keep hoping when they put a new battery in that there is nothin keep being told that the trouble with the key fob battery going out after a month. I keep hoping when they put a new battery in that there is nothing else wrong. Ive had the car in numerous times, even spent over 400 dollars fr a new key fob and reprogramming. It does the same thing a month later.. When I called last Fri. I was put on hold while the person o the phone checked with someone, and 22 minutes later was disconnected. Monday I called again and was told that I should bring the car in and the would check it out, but that I would have to leave the car overnight. When I asked about a loaner, I was told you don't do that. It is our only car and there is no way we can get home and back to your dealership the following day. I asked to talk to someone in charge, so he took my number and was going to have someone call. Today is Thursday and no one has gotten back to me. I am so disappointed in the way this has been handled. This has been handled. I've had VW's since 1964, 2 of which were bought at Bob Rorhman's. I am very disappointed in your service! More
