Me and my husband just got a 2011 Dodge nitro heat today, we went to a competitor and, Greengifford and didnt feel so comfortable with the pricing, the whole thing we were a little on easy about. The people we went to a competitor and, Greengifford and didnt feel so comfortable with the pricing, the whole thing we were a little on easy about. The people at Greenbrier made us feel very comfortable, beat the price of Greengifford and got us much more for our money. Would recommend them to anybody. More
Greenbrier Dodge was the first car buying experience that I actually enjoyed. I was greated when I walked in by Ricky "Happy Feet" Griffin who was very pleasant from the start. His sales style is simply to be present and help you locate what you are looking for and answer any questions. We knew exactly what we wanted and they had 76 Ram's to choose from. He helped guide us through the dealerships selection. After finding the vehicle we wanted, that had all the options and features we started talking about price. This was where my biggest surprise came in. Ricky walked out with the invoice and said we are going to offer you this price. You pay what we pay. Basically they are one of the largest Dodge dealers in Virginia. So the more they move, the more kickback from Dodge. There was no reason to argue over price. I verified the invoice price that they showed with information on the internet and it was legit. We pushed on price a little more simply because it isn't fun unless there is a little negotiation involved. At the end of the day the process was super smooth. Ricky treated me like I was his only customer he was interested in that day. I will definately go back when the time comes and I will be asking for Happy Feet! I can't thank him enough for what he did to get me into a truck for thousands less then other dealers in the area. It is worth the drive to the Norfolk area if you are serious about buying a new car or truck. More
From the start the salesman was good, using his best little tricks and lies to make it all sound good. We traded her car and my truck on a new Journey. They told us they would take care of the payoff little tricks and lies to make it all sound good. We traded her car and my truck on a new Journey. They told us they would take care of the payoff on my truck and switching the plates over from her car (which was paid off) to the new car. We were fairly pleased with our purchase. Two months later I get a call from the loan company,(from my old truck) and they say they havent recieved a payment and it is now 60 days late. It is now on my credit as an extremely late payment. A couple days later we get a letter from the bank the new loan was supposed to be through. It says the loan GBD applied for, for us was denied they had to change the terms to get it approved. Then we found out all in the same week that they had never switched the plates over, so basically we were driving a new vehicle with license plates that didn't match the registration. More or less we were driving with stolen plates. Finally, four and a half months later I recieve a letter from Greenbrier Dodge of Chesapeake, the letter says there is still $173.38 due on my vehicle that they were supposed to pay off 115 days ago, and i need to send a check as soon as possible so they can get the title for it and resell it for twice what they gave me on trade. (I added that last part.) Now I can't get anyone to call me back. Do yourself a favor and don't ever even think about going to greenbrier dodge or sending anyone there. If it was the last car dealer on earth I would buy a horse. More
I walked into this dealership with preapproved loan and trade in title in hand. I knew what I wanted and knew they had it on the lot. I had an EP number so the price of the vehicle did not need to be neg trade in title in hand. I knew what I wanted and knew they had it on the lot. I had an EP number so the price of the vehicle did not need to be negotiated. All I needed was the trade in value of my van, and the EP price of the vehicle I wanted. It was a weekday just around noon. Anthony, the sales guy, was knowledgable, courteous and responsive. The sales manager, however, was not. He kept my sales guy waiting, and subsequently me, while he talked (loudly) on the phone, several times. It's not like they had a hopping business there with lots of cutomers to help! This guy kept talking smack on the phone, and cursing mildly to the other party. Not just once, but with several phone calls. It took nearly 3 hours to get even an approximate number on the trade in, and that wasn't even firm. He said his "guy" would be in on the weekend and they could give me a trade offer then. I was there to buy then, not the weekend. He never even gave me the EP price until I demanded my keys, 3 hrs. later. Poor Anthony, the sales guy, broke out in a sweat. I left with the impression that this "sales manager" guy was arrogant, rude, and egotistic. All he had to do was sell me a van. I went to another dealer and bought exactly what I wanted in half the time. I do not recommend this dealership. More
I drove over three hours to purchase this vehicle from Greenbrier. I had recently been searching for a truck. Most of the dealers in my area were rude or absolutely dishonest about their dealings. !00 per Greenbrier. I had recently been searching for a truck. I recently purchased a new 2011 Ram 2500. It was a very good experience. Nick was a shining example of a sales professional. He did an amazing job tracking down the vehicle I wanted and was able to make a good experience. Nick was a shining example of a sales professional. He did an amazing job tracking down the vehicle I wanted and was able to make a reasonable deal to get the add ons I wanted. The entire experience at Greenbrier Dodge was amazing. The dealership has a very low pressure sales attitude, with an attention to customer needs that I have not experienced before. Nick is by far the best sales professional I have worked with and has my highest recommendation to any and all perspective buyers. I plan on continuing my future vehicle purchases with Greenbrier Dodge, and hopefully work with Nick again. More
We were looking for more of a family vehicle so decided to trade our two vehicles(one that was paid off and one that was not) on a new vehicle. The service we received that day was great BUT we have had no to trade our two vehicles(one that was paid off and one that was not) on a new vehicle. The service we received that day was great BUT we have had nothing but problems since we left. The first month we did not receive our payment stub, I called they said the loan had not been processed and took my first payment over the phone. The following weeks I received several phone calls from them asking for proof of income etc. The day we were there they said they did not need any of that stuff, but a month later they call?? Then it took them 2 months to pay off the vehicle we still owed on. On top of that when we finally did receive our first payment stub it said we never paid the first payment!! I have called the company several times--our issues still have not been resolved. Getting someone to call me back is like pulling teeth. I will NEVER shop there again and I encourage anyone who reads this to take their business elsewhere. I have never dealt with such an unorganized company!!! More
I guess the one thing I liked was that I made the point I did not want a lot of extras and no one pressured me afterwards. I believe I received a good price and they matched the interest rate I could have g did not want a lot of extras and no one pressured me afterwards. I believe I received a good price and they matched the interest rate I could have gotten from my credit union. The Charger I purchased is great and I hope my follow on experience with Greenbrier Dodge is as positive as the purchasing process. More

My wife and I were looking for new vehicles to replace our aging ones. We have had mixed results over the years with various dealers and were hoping for a positive one this time. From the moment we drove our aging ones. We have had mixed results over the years with various dealers and were hoping for a positive one this time. From the moment we drove up to the dealership, Ricky and the rest of the staff treated us warmly and fairly. We were able to get fair prices on our trade-ins and decent prices for our 2010 Dodge Journey and 2010 Dodge Challenger. It was actually a very informative transaction that was fun, mostly due to Ricky's personality. And we also got to see why he is called "Happy Feet". I feel that I have more knowledge about our new vehicles than I have in the past. This was a very positive experience for our family and I highly recommend this dealership to others. great job!!! More
