I have bought many cars over the years but Ricky Griffin I have bought many cars over the years but Ricky Griffin made the experience with Greenbrier Dodge by far the best experience i have ever had. He did not push anything, he listened to what i wanted (very rare from my experience with other dealers)and made the deal happen. He was VERY receptive to EXACTLY what i wanted, the conditions under which I would buy, and what it would take to put me into a vehicle that day. Mr. Griffin was able to put me into a Dodge Charger under conditions that were VERY aceptable to myself AND the dealership, and for far less than i had expected to spend when i walked in the door. I have already recommended Greenbrier Dodge in general, and Ricky Griffin in particular to friends and family who are currently looking for vehicles, and have told them that if he is not there on the day they go in, to wait until he IS there to talk to anyone, and I am VERY picky about whom I give my support to. He genuinely cares about his customers and their individual wants and needs, and will do what it takes to make sure his customers are VERY well taken care of. This is the 6th car that me and my wife have bought from Greenbrier Dodge in the past 15 years. About 4 years ago we started buying our vehicles from Ricky Griffin. He doesnt push anything on you at all. He asked me what I was looking for and the options I wanted and I told him what my price range was, we walked out and looked at the vehicles. He knows the lot and the options in the vehicles in the lot. When I have had recalls on my last van and I couldnt get a hold of the department I called him and he took care of it for me. Anytime I have any questions about any of the cars I have bought from him I called him like months later, he took care of me. He has always been super friedly and patient. I have never been blown off by him. He treats you more like a friend than a sale. He covered my 2011 Durango and the options on it. he was very knowlegeable about how everything worked and went over the stuff I had no idea how to set up and I think we spent an hour in it making sure I knew everything. As always I get more bang for my buck. I will always buy vehicles from Ricky. He has never lied to me when he said we will take care of you, they do. Thanks Ricky I really mean it. Tim Butcher More
My wife was in a car accident, so we needed a car after the insurance company totaled hers. I went online to look for a 2010 Dodge Charger and submitted my info to have a sales person contact me. Out of all 4 dealers that I submitted to...Emily Kneemiller from Greenbriar Dodge was the first to call. She was very helpful and immediately went to work trying to find me a car. Since I decided to trade my truck in so that we can get my wife the newer vehicle, she looked for a replacement for me as well. After working with Emily, she had to hand me off to a salesman Ricky Griffen. We had fun the moment we started working together. You see, I am a bit of a joker and let me tell you..Ricky was a great sport. He put together a great package for my wife and I, my wife got her car and he found me an 04 Dodge Ram. The truck was not much to look at first....but when Greg Lee(Service) got done with it along with the detailer....WOW..I didn't even recognize it...and it drove great...After all of that Nick(The Finance Guy) was also great to work with....made my wife and I very comfortable...And Rob Jones(Sales Manager) hooked us up by giving me a good trade-in value for my truck which made the deal affordable for us as well as a real nice deal on the 04 Ram...Thanks Rob Our experience at Greenbriar Dodge was by far the BEST EVER!!! We had been to many dealerships looking for a used car for our family. We had told each salesperson at the other dealships what we were looking for and how much we could afford. When we arrived at Greenbrier Dodge one Saturday afternoon we were just looking and Nick Napier came up to us he was the first salesman we encountered that was friendly and listened to what we were saying about what our family needs were and what we could afford. Greenbrier was having a hugh sales event thay day and Nick was excited to share it with us; after being with us for several hours and we test drove a Jeep Patiot my wife liked the Jeep. We were also looking for a car or small SUV that was easy for my wife to get in and out of as she has a bad left knee, but we were not ready to purchase at that time however Mr. Napier stayed in contact with us asking how he could help us get in that Jeep Patiot after about a month of weekly calls to us Mr. Napier told us he had gotten a promosion and gave our infomation to Ryan Gatie, then Ryan called us and helped us make the deal happen. Nick and Ryan were very helpful in getting the car our family needed and wanted at a fair price and that we could afford we are very happy with our new (used) Jeep Patiot and with the professionalism and friendliness of Nick and Ryan we have made new friends and found a new dealership for our family. My wife and I and our 2 children spent the day at various dealerships as we weren't completely decided on what we wanted to buy. After arriving at Greenbrier Dodge, we were pleasantly welcomed by Ryan and a dealerships as we weren't completely decided on what we wanted to buy. After arriving at Greenbrier Dodge, we were pleasantly welcomed by Ryan and after a few minutes of talking, he started showing us a 2011 Dodge Journey. Ryan proved to be very knowlegable about the vehicle as he showed us the different features that it offered. We fell in love with the Journey but unfortunately, we wanted certain features that weren't available in any models on the lot. Ryan spent the next week searching other dealerships for one that met our requirements (Which were very specific). The thing that impressed me the most is that not once did he ever try to persuade us into buying something that we didn't want or settle for something less just so he could get the sale. In the end, he got us into the exact vehicle that we were looking for. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. We visited several dealerships that day, and none of them were as helpful or comitted to making sure that we, as the customers were completely satisfied when the deal was done. For instance, while my wife and I would discuss things over, Ryan would entertain our children so that we wouldn't be distracted by them. Our kids still want to know when we can go back to the dealership so that they can play with Ryan. Thank you Ryan & the rest at Greenbrier Dodge for turning what is usually an unpleasant task into a great experience!!! More
I went in to Greenbrier Dodge to have service on my 2000 Ram 1500. While waiting for the service team to finish with my truck, Mr. Griffin made a point to find me and interduce himself. After a pleasant few minutes we started talking about my other vehicle, a 2000 Durango. I mentioned to Ricky that I had looked at a 2010 Charger a month or so ago and he started telling me about the only one he had left on the lot. He told me that he had a real good discount on the car, and then made a offer. This was about noon on the 31st of March. He said he would run some numbers and do a credit check to make this deal work. I had to leave as I had another appointment and told Ricky that I would return with my wife around nine that night. My wife and I arrive at the dealership around 8:30pm and was immediately met by Ricky and his manager. My wife and I were a little concerned because we had some bad experiences with dealers in the past. Ricky put us at ease, and showed us that every thing he had told us was straight foward. He worked with us until about 11:30 when we finished with the finance manager. While we were working with finance people Ricky moved everything from our trade-in to the new car and changed the plates. My wife and I have never had such a pleasant experience buying a car. The sales manager, Tom, made a special announcement to all the sales people about our purchase. This team and Ricky Griffin especially made this a great adventure. Charles and Shirley Dunn More

absolutely the worst experience i've had purchasing a vehicle. was lied to about the condition of the vehicle, was also lied to about the vehicle being at the dealership the day i drove from williamsburg vehicle. was lied to about the condition of the vehicle, was also lied to about the vehicle being at the dealership the day i drove from williamsburg to purchase it. was waiting for it to be delivered for over 5 hours because it was loaned out to someone and had been on loan for over a week. the vehicle was damaged because the individual it was loaned to had abused it and moved a house with it. i have had it turned in to Hutchins Chevrolet in Hampton 4 times to fix the issue that were not disclosed to me during my 5 hour wait for the vehicle to come back to the lot. i am now in the process of dropping the vehicle off for a 5 time at Hutchins Chevrolet and i've owned this vehicle less than a month. when i purchased the vehicle i was asked on 6 different occasions during my 5 hour wait for the vehicle if i was financing it through a bank, each time, 6 total i told them no i have the money in my checking account to purchase this vehicle. i have yet to receive the title and the title was not sent to me, it was sent to the bank where my money that was used to purchase this vehicle came from. there was also an electronic lien put on the vehicle, even though i re-affirmed that i could afford to purchase this vehicle with my own money on six different conversation during my 5 hour wait. i guess i wasn't dressed good enough for them to consider that i might actually be wealthy enough to purchase a $21,000 vehicle. Horrible experience. there are 180 employees where i work, i have passed my story in whole or in part of what has happened to me at your dealership to everyone of them. there is another affiliate company of over 2,300 employees. i start work there soon, i will tell as many of them about the exact service i received at your dealership. your level of customer appreciation/support is Sub-par in my opinion. perhaps one of the outlet stores in any mall could provide training on customer service/support. there are a few shops at the Newport News Flea Market that could help you as well. This was was my first and will be my only visit to Greenbrier Dodge. I went to the dealership on February 16th, 2011 and purchased a new 2011 Dodge Charger. Salesman John Tankersly communicated to me Greenbrier Dodge. I went to the dealership on February 16th, 2011 and purchased a new 2011 Dodge Charger. Salesman John Tankersly communicated to me that the car would be shipped from a separate dealer location and would 'most-likely' be here on the February 24th. That didn't happen; nor did the next three dates he gave to me. The salesman never returned my phone calls, I had to hunt them down to get statuses of my own car. Then I spoke to the Sales Manager (Mr. Jones) and the General Manager (Chris) and, nothing to my surprise, had a 'mis-communication' and didn't return a phone call to me on March 4, 2011. I've purchased 5 cars from separate dealerships and have never been treated with disrespect and appalling customer service. I demanded a refund before the car got to the dealership (which was a week from March 3, 2011 as quoted from the GM - making that March 10, 2011 (22 days)). Twenty-two days to receive a car, that at this point I no longer have interest. Bottom-line they had disgusting customer service, unfriendly, never did anything they promised. Therefore, I highly encourage as an active military duty service member, that you do not waste your time with this dealership. More
