After I posted my review, Mr. Smith called on June 1. He said he would try to get me a check for the difference in what I paid and the advertised price, plus tax. He said he would call me back, but I never heard from him.

It’s funny how you relate this issue to a financial situation. In lieu of a service issue. I call it a racket. I was perfectly willing to pay the dealer price for the TSB to be preformed, again even though it’s an actual Ford software issue. It is a very common issue with the year and model vehicle. To the point a TSB is even available specifically for the year and model. I refuse to pay for services not requested nor required. The FORD Technical Service Bulletin is very clear and concise as to what service is to be preformed. I’ll say it again, FORD’s very own Technical Service Bulletin very clearly specifies what is required. I should’ve been in and out happily on the road again with the TSB preformed, but that was not good enough for GPF. Making an appointment with the service department is a trap. Why schedule an appointment time, time of work, and a ride all for a specific service, so when on arrival it’s switcharoo time. Financial issue my eye. Like I said, it’s a racket. I’ve vented. Just search reviews on the internet. Wished I had at first. The service department is very consistent.
