I was there for an hour and a half, and I received updates like, “Oh, they’re washing the car. It will be done in 10 minutes.” Yet, I ended up waiting for 40 more minutes with no follow-up after I was processed for a loan car and told to wait in the lobby. An hour later, I found out that I didn’t need the loan car because my car was actually ready, but it somehow wasn’t ready earlier. There was a lack of clarity and communication throughout the process. I waited for an hour and a half under the impression that I would be receiving a loan car, only to discover that my car was finished instead. Nothing was communicated to me regarding the delays in preparing the loan car. The situation could have been handled more efficiently, and clearer communication would have significantly reduced my frustration. More
I’m choosing to remain anonymous for personal reasons, but what happened during my visit to Graff Chevrolet in Grand Prairie was unacceptable—and I feel morally obligated to speak up. I came in to purc but what happened during my visit to Graff Chevrolet in Grand Prairie was unacceptable—and I feel morally obligated to speak up. I came in to purchase a reliable car for my family. I was assigned to a salesman named Alonzo Cano. At first, he seemed eager, but it quickly became clear he was more focused on pushing his personal agenda than actually helping me as a customer. The test drive turned dangerous when he insisted on driving first to “show me what the car could do.” Instead of demonstrating safety or comfort, he sped excessively, ignored stop signs, and drove recklessly—all with my child in the back seat. I asked him to slow down. He smirked and said, “I drive like this all the time.” That’s not confidence—that’s negligence. Back at the dealership, he changed the agreed numbers on the paperwork and slipped in extra fees without explanation. When I pointed them out, he became defensive and dismissive, trying to make me feel like I didn’t know what I was talking about. Then, shockingly, Alonzo began trying to sell me his girlfriend’s party planning business—as if it was part of the dealership deal. He handed me a flyer and said they “do events, balloons, and décor,” and could offer a package if I booked something through them. I couldn’t believe I was being pitched a party service while trying to buy a vehicle. To make matters worse, he made racially insensitive remarks during the process—joking about which types of customers are “easy to close.” I won’t repeat his exact words, but they were deeply offensive and completely inappropriate in any setting, let alone a professional one. It became clear that Alonzo Cano is using Graff Chevrolet’s name to further his own side hustles, rather than representing the dealership with integrity. I later heard from another local that he has a reputation for using Graff’s name to get bottle service at clubs and tries to write it off as business. Whether or not that’s true, the behavior I personally witnessed was more than enough to raise serious red flags. This isn’t just bad customer service—it’s a reflection of poor oversight, and I sincerely hope Graff Chevrolet’s management and ownership see this and take action. I have already begun filing complaints with the Texas DMV, BBB, and GM Corporate. For anyone shopping here: ask for someone else. Protect your time, your family, and your money. More
