Sandy was very helpful and worked with me to get the best price on a new Subaru. I dread buying a new car and my experience at Gerald with Sandy was not at all painful. I would recommend Gerald Subaru to any price on a new Subaru. I dread buying a new car and my experience at Gerald with Sandy was not at all painful. I would recommend Gerald Subaru to anyone interested in a new car. And I would definitely recommend Subaru as a great, dependable car! More
The salesman John Smith (yes, it's true) and dealership got me into a vehicle I'd always been impressed with. Since owning a 2010 Outback for almost a year, I've increasingly enjoyed the ride; it's quiet even at 70MPH and there's little to no splash noise going through water. During the 2011 blizzard in the Chicago burbs, I was able to safely go 40mph on snowy streets where front-wheel drive vehicles were struggling just to get moving. During warm weather, around town I get between 24.5 to 25mpg, 29.5 to 30mpg on the road. Interesting comments from third parties. A young woman said her friend's mechanic husband used to work on nothing but Subarus and he said he loved them and wouldn't want anything else. Doing handyman work, I was at one client's house in the driveway next to her Mercedes when a chauffeur drove up in a limo next door; he got out to pick up his client and commented, "Those are two of the best cars on the road." While at another client's house, her son came to replace the transmission on her older Mercedes; he has a college degree but loves cars so much, he buys older ones and rebuilds them from the ground up for resale. When he saw my Outback, he said, "That's a quarter-million mile car you've got." So, while I swore I'd buy American the next time and didn't intend to buy a car one day in May, the good engineering and reputation of Subaru got me. More
Good morning, for about 2 years now, my husband and I had been looking for a new car, and when we happen to be driving, we would see a lot of Suburu cars on the road. We always knew that this was the car we been looking for a new car, and when we happen to be driving, we would see a lot of Suburu cars on the road. We always knew that this was the car we wanted to purchase. It took some time for us to actually do our homework concerning the Suburu Outback. We would visit the Suburu dealership's on Sundays so that we had a chance to look on our own, without any pressure. So one day I went into the internet here at work and logged into the Suburu website. Sandy Jackson answered all of my questions when I was not sure of what price range I was looking for. My husband and I happen to be driving to the local store when I noticed that Sandy had left me a message. This was on a Saturday, so my husband and I decided to drive to the dealership in Naperville and see what Sandy had to offer. Our experience went very well, we qualified for the Outback that we purchased, and even though we were at the dealer for over 4 hours we did not mind the wait at all. My new 2011 Suburu Outback sits in my garage just waiting for me to take her for a spin. We do not regret out purchase at all, we are very well aware of the great quality of this vehicle, and this is very important to us. Sandy Jackson gave us the best customer service ever, she explained everything to us about the car, and we went home knowing that our purchase was sold to us with great care and good communication. There is one issue that I thought could have been treated differently about the purchase, and that is the color. We purchased a White Outback, but had there been other Outback's available in another color, I know that we would have chosed another color, but that's okay, white has always been a nice color anyway. I am very uncomfortable about buying a car and I often I am very uncomfortable about buying a car and I often make mistakes because I just want to get it over with. I feel that, once I get into a deal I am very uncomfortable about buying a car and I often make mistakes because I just want to get it over with. I feel that, once I get into a dealership, I can't think straight and then just buy the first car I see that is close to what I am looking for. We currently own a 2003 Subaru Outback. It has been a great car, but there are a few issues that had bothered me about this particular one, and I decided--even though we couldn't afford it--that it was time to buy a car. I went to a dealership here in Washington state, just to look around, and I almost bought a Brand New Car! Which I really cannot afford! It wasn't even a Subaru and I knew, going into the dealership that I was just testing my "car buying" skills. This put me into a panic, that I might make a really stupid decision financially. I decided how much I could pay for a "newer" Outback and started looking on the internet. I drove a couple newer models here in Washington state, but they had more miles on them than my 2003. I just couldn't find what I wanted. I then started looking on the internet--nationwide--for a car I could afford. Suddenly, I was talking (or chatting) with dealers in Omaha, San Antonio and two in Naperville, Illinois. All of the Outbacks looked good and the salespeople I talked to were all competent and "were going the extra mile" to help me. But, Michael Gately, of Gerald Subaru of Naperville was exceptional communicating with me, both in writing and on the phone. I felt that I was working with someone who really understood my situation and my budget and would help me in every way possible. He reassured me by telling me about a customer who had come down from Minneapolis and had bought a car from Gerald Subaru, that this was something they understood and would help me figure out to do it. He also explained to me about the "Lifetime Warranty" on the engine and that this would still be valid in Washington state. I made a small down payment with my credit card and my wife and I were on a flight to O'Hare at 11:30 PM that night. Our salesperson from Gerald Subaru, Michael Gately, was waiting for us at baggage claim when we arrived and drove us from O'Hare to the dealership in Naperville, stopping on the way to treat us to coffee and donuts at Dunkin' Donuts, which was really great after deciding to make this stressful decision to buy in Naperville not in Washington state. Everything was as promised. The 2009 Subaru looked just as great as it did on the internet. There were no surprises! We took the test drive. Chuck Panagaros did a great job helping us with the paperwork and we were on our way to stay at a relative's house in Chicago that Saturday night. We left Chicago Sunday afternoon and arrived in Washington on Thursday, 2100 miles later. During that drive, we weathered an ice storm in Nebraska and -35 temperatures in Wyoming. That was "really" a test drive that this 2009 Subaru Outback passed with flying colors! The title I needed for my Washington plates arrived promptly after we arrived by Federal Express. If you're buying a used Subaru, I don't know anywhere else in the country who will provide the great customer service that the Gerald Subaru people did "or" will provide you with a Lifetime Engine Warranty! Thank you so much! More
John helped me with the hassle of trading in a car with negative equity. Like promised, he did everything he could to make my purchase affordable, given the circumstances. Though I was a relatively young b negative equity. Like promised, he did everything he could to make my purchase affordable, given the circumstances. Though I was a relatively young buyer, John took me seriously from the moment I stepped onto the lot, giving me confidence as a buyer. Before visiting Gerald Subaru of Naperville, I stopped by another Subaru dealer. There, the salesman treated me as I were wasting his time. I felt uncomfortable and left. John and the team at Gerald Subaru were very welcoming and friendly throughout the process and even afterwards, calling to checkup on the vehicle I purchased. More

I've got my first very positive impression during test drive visit - nobody asked about my ss#, driver's licence, or bank account. Sandy answered all of my questions, no pushing, just a call or two. I was drive visit - nobody asked about my ss#, driver's licence, or bank account. Sandy answered all of my questions, no pushing, just a call or two. I was checking on 4 other small suvs at the same time, so I visited Garald a few times. Nobody bothered me after "I am with Sandy". BTW, Sandy was quick to return my calls and emails. When I finally decided on subaru, they just matched my best offer, and the purchase process was very smooth. Even signing financial papers with Chuck lasted for less than half hour, and only because I was not prepared/ did not know about optional 7 yrs bumper-to-bumper. It would be nice if the dealership use Naperville's test track. The snowy hill is fantastic to see how AWD works. Later I found that a little roof antena is missing. It was as simple as turning this thing off from another Forester in the showroom and run away. :-) I am joking of course! More
