In March of this year I purchased a 2011 VW Jetta. Come October, i decided that i needed something that could get out of its own way and able to handle the wicked chicago winters. After looking at other manufacturers, i decided that subaru was the best fit. This is where the struggle of the right dealership came into play. I spent days searching the internet for dealerships in the area. First dealership was a bust(Grand Subaru in Elmhurst, Bill Neilis). Second on the list was Gerald Subaru. I had requested a quote and received a call immediately from Sandy Jackson. This is where everything started to make sense. Sandy is a real people person. She understands that her job is to sell cars, but that seems to be second her agenda. Sandy was never overly pushy and always put my needs first. We decided on a vehicle and went to financing. FAIL! My credit was much worse than i expected and was declined from every major bank. Sandy really showed her true colors here. She was able to teach me how easy it is to repair your credit. Over the next six weeks we spoke and discussed my progress with the credit repair. Never in my life has anyone worked so hard to help someone they had just met. She understands that people make mistakes and sometimes need help to get it fixed. Now, with my credit in better shape, i was able to order my 2012 Subaru WRX!!! Sandy is the mother teresa of sales women! If anyone is looking for a quality sales person that wants to help first and sell sencond, see Sandy, shes the absolute best!!! More
Sandy Jackson is the internet sales manager and I have worked with her on and off over the past several months. She has always been helpful and respectful but never pushy. I ultimately went to Gerald Subaru Naperville because I did a huge web search and found they offered a fully-loaded 2011 Subaru Forester for well under the invoice price. After a test drive, I knew this was the car for me. The entire staff was consistently friendly and polite and we feel we got a great vehicle for a really good price. Thanks Sandy!!! More

And she was trying to sell that car with the sticker price, told you the the monthly payment, etc. She just played every trick on me (you may know the tricks from carbuyingtips.com)! More

The vehicle quoted was not there, it had sold earlier in the week I was told. They did have the same vehicle, itwas a dealer car (demo)with over 3000 miles.. I offered what I thought was a reasonable price (lower cash offer) and then they countered with a price higher than quoted online for a new car. I asked for a detailed explanation of that quote. Never got that. Certainly not the best dealer experience I have had. I ended up elsewhere and found the exact car new.. 0 miles at a lower price than the demo model price quoted by Gerald. More

Did my research and sent out a price request on-line to avoid the typical car shopping experience. Sandy got right back and her work soon led to a hassle free buying experience! Sandy knows her stuff and drives a Subaru herself! It was great working with her and she quickly cut through the typical car buying back and forth and delivered a great price to a ready buyer. Deal done! I would recommend her to anyone in the market for a Subaru. The Gerald life-time warranty was icing on the cake. DW More
I walked into this dealer at the end of December to purchase a new Subaru. My wife and I had a Subaru Forester in mind. Brian worked well with us, helped us narrow down the car, and we got it for a great price, with accessories of our choice. Thanks Brian. My next car will be bought at Gerald Subaru. On a side note, Adam, from the Service Department is the most wonderful person I've ever met in Service. I was promised a 5pm appointment, and all the technicians had left. Instead of sending me back home to downtown Chicago(from Naperville), Adam took it upon himself to complete the service. Amazing customer service. More
I highly recommend Gerald Subaru in Naperville and Sandy Jackson in particular. I've owned 3 Subarus and so my questions throughout my process were fairly particular... Sandy knows her stuff and was able to address my concerns/questions off the cuff, she knows what she's talking about. Also, she was accessible, trustworthy and very easy to work with - not the typical pushy car salesman at all. She was far more interested in determining the best fit for me than closing the deal. Gerald as a dealership stands out, they offer a very unique service guarantee and they are reasonable in their pricing. I had legitimate concerns about the performance of the car I ended up buying (I went from a turbo XT to a H6, as the turbo XT outback is no-longer made by Subaru) and instead of a sales pitch that ignored my concerns, they acknowledged the real questions I had and allowed me to take the H6 home over a 3-day weekend to test it out. In my mind that went above and beyond... and allowed me to get over the fact that I was trading in a pretty hot/fun car to drive and accept the bigger picture/advantages of the H6 in-spite of the loss of performance (better fuel economy, bigger, newer trumped the 0-60 performance fun of the turbo xt). Anyway... long story short, the people at Gerald (and Sandy in particular) are passionate about cars and very reasonable and trustworthy... good people. More
Real simple, rude! They treat customers really bad, as if they are not concerned. They have a good deal going, if you could tolerate the staffs rudeness.
