I had good, pleasant service, but . . . I began working with Eric Zetterlof over a year before I purchased my 2015 Forester on August 20, 2016. He knew that I was intending to purchase a ve I began working with Eric Zetterlof over a year before I purchased my 2015 Forester on August 20, 2016. He knew that I was intending to purchase a vehicle to have for a number of years (previous vehicle was owned for 244,000 miles, 13+ years), but I was not able/ready to pull the trigger on the purchase yet. He helped me think through what I'd like, suited to my needs and desires, then shelved the info until I was able. Once the finances became available, I returned to Eric's desk, and the search began anew. He'd located 4 pre-owned cars, I tested them all, and settled on my Forester. All the paperwork was done, payment was made a couple of days later, and off I went. As I drove my Forester to work and back for a few days, I realized that I DID NOT like the ride, feeling that I now had a very rough ride, not unlike that of a truck (trucks of these days probably ride MUCH better!). (Could I get my Hyundai Santa Fe back???) Two weeks after I purchased it, I told Eric that I really wasn't happy with the car, given the ride. We agreed that I'd drive it for 2 weeks more, seeing if I got used to it. Two weeks later, I decided that it was OK. About a month later, I scheduled an appointment to have the protection coating applied (undercoating, body, interior), so was given a loaner of a 2017 Forester. Before I got halfway home, I realized that there was an incredible difference between what I'd bought, and what I was loaned. In the morning I aborted the protection process (which still has not been done), saying that I wanted to seriously look into a switch-up for a better ride. At this point (shortening the story), it seems that all I'd be given for my car is about $17,000, where I'd payed $26,000. I was horrified that there would be so much of a difference between those two values, and I felt as though I got somewhat jerked around on the price, especially by the fact that I'm stuck with a truck that has a car body. I am still trying to convince myself that I'll sooner or later get used to this ride, maybe before I'm dead and gone. I guess I'm naive enough so that I thought that Gerald would do more to help me remedy the (still very new) situation than buy the car back as a "used" car, giving bottom dollar for the car which (at that point) had about 17,500 miles on it. Needless to say, yes, I'm rather disgruntled, and will have a hard time endorsing Gerald Subaru in the future. I don't know Eric Zetterlof beyond my car buying experience, but have no tangible reason to believe that he didn't do what he could, start to finish, to make me a satisfied customer, so I'll be happy to endorse him and his efforts. I know this is not the kind of reviews which dealerships like to hear, but then, my car isn't the kind of car which I'd like to drive for the next 15 years either. Guess we both lose, huh?? :( More

While talking to the service person regarding my day's frustrations, I said: "I should just buy a new car". He turned to Kelly, who was standing next to him and introduced us. Kelly took me to view and test drive a 2017 Forester. I was impressed by the safety technology that the car was equipped with. I will be starting a new job in which my driving distance and time will increase and therefore thought how these features could be a life saver. Living in Chicago with our winters and construction seasons its better to be properly prepared. Kelly worked with me patiently and I never felt pressured by her. I LOVE that she is part of the sales team and I highly recommend her! More

I purchased the Legacy with a very tight budget. Impressively, Abid and Anthony truly worked their magic! I left the dealership very pleased that late afternoon. Few days after I took the car home, it rained continuesly. Unfortunately, I noticed a weak dripped by the door. I was very nervous since I did not buy any warranty. In my head, I was on my own for the repair cost. My boyfriend did not think either that Gerald Subaru would help me out at that point , but I thought that it would not hurt to ask. Abid was just a text message away, so I went for it. He did not disappoint me. I was told to bring the vehicle back, so they could check it out. I made an appointment, and it was repaired/cleaned ( along with my little concerns) free of charge. The bonus, I was given my dream vehicle,Crosstrek, as my rental car! :D Amazing crew!!! I am very glad that I purchased my Subaru in this dealership! Thanks guys! More
I love my choice My husband and I walked into the dealership in Naperville. We were right away greeted by Eric Zetterlof. We discussed about what I was looking for, which I was not exactly sure yet, just a vague idea. Eric explained to me what makes Subaru stand out. He showed me around, checked what's on the showroom and on the lot. We left, I was undecided. He e-mailed me info, talked over the phone. I narrowed down my choices and Subaru was one of the top choices. I visited the dealership few times, talked about prices. (I would like to mention that there was another salesman who helped me looked at the cars while I was deciding if I should get silver or gray, Eric was off that day. Sorry I forgot his name. But it just showed me that they were willing to help even though I was already talking to Eric.) Eric looked for other options, including other brands, that were within my price range. He asked about my future plans. It got me thinking that I'll be retiring in 8-10 years and I don't want to buy another car. I finally decided to get a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. BRAND NEW!!! The shopping process was a pleasant experience. Eric was not rushing or pushing me. I felt that he was sincere in helping me. I love my choice. The car suits my need as an everyday car. It glides smoothly. I got the color that I want. I'm happy. Thank you, Eric, for your help. More

Excellent service, again! I bought my first Subaru, ever, from Kelly in July 2016 and in August of that year I was in a car crash. The car was totaled but it saved my life. Before that my girlfriend and I had driven it to Colorado and drove around the mountains for a long weekend. The car handled better than expect in every way, shape, and form. I loved that car so much and had such a great experience working with Kelly that I bought the same exact car from her a second time. I won't buy anything but Subaru from now on. If I do end up needing to purchase another one I'm going back to Gerald. More
