well lets just say the typical car sales games. i emailed Mike to get a quote got it and i was happy with the numbers so i went in then when i get i was told that price is for the red optima but i wanted bla Mike to get a quote got it and i was happy with the numbers so i went in then when i get i was told that price is for the red optima but i wanted black he say since black and white are in higher demand it cost more but the sticker price is the same.i also want to mention that they put a $698 apperance package on top of the price which is some pinstripe and door trim might be worth $100. but at the end of the day if the price and payment are where i want them its all good.so we work the numbers of course they lowball my trade in by about $2500 which will make the payment way too much but anyway we work on it and we end up $5 a month apart so i say forget it and go home then we are still emailing back in forth and a couple phone calls and we come to an agreement i f i give them al high marks on the survey we will split the $5 and i will get splash guards .so i go in and Mike says the price doesnt include the splash guards which i have an email and text message saying it is included so mike say let me go talk to the mananger Mke V then Mike v comes over talking to me like im 10 years old and says they cant do it i said i have it in writing and he said that my sales guy did tell him about the agreement we made but it didnt matter i was like fine i will walk which i did but not before i let my feelings be known about wasting my time,gas and their shady crap and the fact that my sales guy Mike G just staying up at the manangers desk like a coward while his boss came over nt only did the loos a sale over some$50 splash guards now i will tell everyone i know to stay away More
Hats off to Glenn Miller! I visited Kia with absolutely no intent to purchase for another "2-3" months which was clearly stated to Glenn. Every time I stopped by he gave me his undivided attention, answered all of my questions and took me on many many test drives even though he knew I wasn't ready to buy. He always made himself available to discuss purchase options and we ended up buying much sooner than anticipated because Glenn put together a deal we couldn't refuse. Great work! I've already recommended Glenn and Gerald Kia to my friends and co-workers! More
I recently purchased a 2006 Kia sedona. I went in to the dealership with the mindset to just look around. I was very apprehensive do to a previous bad experiance at a diffrent dealer. I even returned home and came back and he still continued to be attentive and understanding of my concerns. I also was apprehensive about how much the payments would be. The finance department was fantastic. I got a payment plan that I can very easily afford. I was so pleased. All of the salesmen that we were in contact with were very easy going and friendly. No one was pushy or overbearing. There appeared to be a comradery among all of the salesmen. One brought my kids candies and coloring books and another balloons. They also have a wonderful warranty on their vehicles. I would and have recommended this dealership and salesman to friends of ours.When I need another car I will be coming back here and I have never said that about any dealership that I have done business with. I was referred to John Smith by a family friend of mine. As soon as I met him he was like a friend I new for years. Very friendly and fun to talk with. This is the second Kia Soul we have purchased from this dealership. The first, in May 2010, was a good experience. We made the decision to purchase a second one after the first was totalled in an acciden dealership. The first, in May 2010, was a good experience. We visited the dealership on more than one occasion and even spoke with the salesperson about which options we wanted on the car (trying to replace what we had on the previous car). We were told that they didn't have the car in their inventory, but they would be able to get it for us, but first we had to go sign all of the paperwork. What they didn't tell us was that once we signed the paperwork they could screw us any way they wanted and we were stuck with the car! My husband and 17 year old daughter (who the car was for) went in to sign. At that time, the salesman showed them a list with 6 items on it as to options we wanted on the car. They were not told that this was an exclusive list, speak now or forever hold our peace. My husband (who had not been involved in the previous dealings with the salesperson) and daughter agreed that they wanted those options. A couple of days later I went in to pick up the car with my daughter. She immediately noticed that it didn't have the spoiler that she had told the salesperson repeatedly that she wanted. When we brought up, he tried to blame it on her ( 17 year old who is not even old enough to legally make a binding contract) by saying it wasn't on his list that they were shown. True, but the color was also not shown, nor were the size and rims we got on the car, etc, yet we got all of those things on the vehicle. It was clearly his error, but instead of standing up and being a man, he tried to blame it on her. The management of the dealership sat there like bumps on a log and offered no solution to this issue. Just tough, you signed for it, therefore, you are stuck with it. No integrity in this dealership. They really should be ashamed of themselves. We will never buy another vehicle from them and plan to spread the word about their unscrupulous actions. More
So I went to Gerald Kia, Naperville for a new car after I had been "shopping" for cars for about a year and a half. Mid August, I test drove the Toyota Camry. I had been dead set on the Camry for had been "shopping" for cars for about a year and a half. Mid August, I test drove the Toyota Camry. I had been dead set on the Camry for as long as I can remember. It was nice, nice ride. Just as I expected. The following day, I test drove the Hyundai Sonata. It was far nicer than the Camry and with the warranty, it pretty much eliminated the Camry as a choice. The day after that, I test drove the 2011 Kia Optima SX. I was blown away! I had to have it. It is so nice. It's a luxury car without the luxury price. Simple as. Rich Evans, my salesperson, was very great to work with. Initially, there was a "hiccup" with actually buying the car due to some unforeseen circumstances on my end. But after a 3 week delay, I returned to buy it. He remembered us, remembered the deal we set up and at the time of purchase (9/10/11, lol) he gave us an even better overall deal than was initially agreed upon 3 weeks prior. Gerald didn't have the car on the lot that I wanted, but with an easy dealer trade, they were able to retrieve it. The only complaint I have is that the one they brought from the other dealership had some curb damage to the front underlip bumper, but I was assured by Rich that this will be taken care of to my satisfaction. I have no reason to doubt him. I highly recommend this dealership and working with Rich specifically. When I first came in and test drove it, he didn't xx me or anything. He didn't even take the test drive with me. That was a first for me. His exact words: "I don't need to sell you this car, this car will sell itself." A truer statement has never been made. And on top of that, he sold himself as a quality salesperson. Often times, they get a bad rap for being shady in some form or another. He was by far the straightest shooting salesperson I have ever had the pleasure of working with and would buy from him again in a heartbeat. The whole buying experience from Gerald Kia, Naperville was top notch. I have rated them 5s across the board because quite frankly, they deserve it. I have been screwed by dealerships in the past, and there wasn't even the slightest of inclination that there was going to be a repeat here. They treated me with dignity and respect and gave me a fair price despite not having the world's greatest credit. The entire staff were upfront with me about everything, answered all of my questions satisfactorily and made me feel like they cared and wanted me to be happy with my purchase.
