I live in Schaumburg, Illinois and have the opportunity to purchase cars close to home, however, I recently purchased a 2011 Optima from your company on 12/31/2010. I purchased my firs Kia from you in April 2010 which is a 2011 Sorento. Why did I come back to Gerald. The answer is simple, I like doing business with Gerald.--it is worth the 25 mile drive. My initial experience was exceptional and my second buying experience was the same. Once again, you are fortunate to have not good but excellent people working with you. You'll never get a better sales manager than Mark Phillips. He is the mover and shaker within your dealership. Your sales team if well trained in customer service. Kudos to Sandy Jackson and Bill. Your service department is exceptional. Adam Vandiver shows the same enthusiasm and concern that permeates the sales floor. Your mechanics are top notch. I should be doing commercials for Kia since I am on my third. Your working atmosphere should be an example for all dealerships. Our experience with Sandy Jackson was very positive. I started looking for a vehicle 3 months before I needed to purchase. I explained to Sandy that I wasn't in a hurry, and was waiting for great incenti started looking for a vehicle 3 months before I needed to purchase. I explained to Sandy that I wasn't in a hurry, and was waiting for great incentives as well as comparing against competing models. Sandy was the only salesperson I talked to who respected my approach and didn't hound me with phone calls and emails (unlike the other half-dozen or so I spoke with at other dealerships). But the bottom line is the deal - Gerald gave me a very good deal. Once we decided the Forte Koup was the car we wanted to buy, Sandy supported us in our negotiations with her management. We knew the price we were willing to pay, and it helps to be willing to walk away if the deal isn't favorable to both parties. Sandy was patient through the back-and-forth. I highly recommend Sandy for your automobile purchasing needs! More
I have nothing bad to report. We bought a 2011 Sorrento in August 2010 and we could'nt be happier with the car and the prompt service for the two couple of recalls since we bought it. I bought my very first Subaru in May 2010. At first I was skeptical as I had always owned Pontiacs, but I was referred to Gerald Subaru and to the Subaru brand in general, so I thought I would look into was skeptical as I had always owned Pontiacs, but I was referred to Gerald Subaru and to the Subaru brand in general, so I thought I would look into it. From the moment I walked in the front door, I was greeted warmly by Sandy Jackson, who by the way wasnt your typical "pushy", "overbearing" sales person, she was very patient, answered all my questions and allowed me to take several different vehicles for test drives. She along with Mark Phillips worked very hard for me in order to get me into a vehicle and price I was comfortable with, again there were no games, no haggling & I never felt as if I was being pushed to do something I didnt want to do. Sandy had indicated that she owned a Subaru, and loved it. I went with the Forester and I liked the fact it had AWD and was rated highly with many different consumer reporting agencies. I had my heart set on satellite radio and a sunroof, but quickly realized after I made the purchase that I made a very good decision and those things werent what was truly important to me at the end of the day. Fast forward to the present - Once the snow started falling was when I truly realized I made an excellent decision! I have NEVER had a vehicle handle this well and can honestly say it is the safest vehicle I have ever owned. In closing, I cant say enough good things about Sandy, Mark & the Gerald Subaru Kia family. I have even had a very good experience with their service dept thus far. I would and have highly recommended this dealer to friends and family and plan on making them my first choice the next time I am in the market for a new vehicle. Best, Rose N More
dishonest. proof is in and on the car. refused my business even after a brand new car purchase. did not document service work including check engine light. no response from owner even after a certif business even after a brand new car purchase. did not document service work including check engine light. no response from owner even after a certified letter was sent to him. first day of purchase salesman damaged car and denied it. first week of ownership it spent in body shop. got car back and it had several appearance issues which were never fixed but only covered up over the next 5 months of going back and forth.
