Great Salesperson and a Great Deal I met Matt Vega several months ago. This was my first time stepping into a dealership alone and was nervous about having to go through the daunting I met Matt Vega several months ago. This was my first time stepping into a dealership alone and was nervous about having to go through the daunting process that one usually expects. I came right out and told Matt that this was a new experience for me, and instead of taking advantage of this factor, Matt was very patient with me, throughout my time with him. He treated me with dignity and respect. He explained everything clearly. He calmly and patiently answered my many questions and took whatever time was necessary for me understand all that he was telling me. Having never bought a car by myself, I was quite indecisive. I made this process a real challenge for him--I changed my mind several times, only to end up giving up the whole plan that he and I agreed on. One thing I knew for sure, though, was that when I was ready, I would be buying a Kia Optima and I would be doing it with Matt! Months later, I was more resolved and prepared to buy. The decision of what dealership to got to and who I wanted to work with was easy. I went straight to Gerald's Kia today and asked for Matt as soon as I walked in. He remembered me and I felt welcomed back. Because I learned so much from Matt about car buying the first time and the rapport we built, it was a lot easier this time around. I ended up with a new Optima and got a great deal that was a special online. Both of the times I said good-bye to Matt, I left a highly satisfied customer (even when I didn't buy). I would recommend to anyone: If you are in the market for a Kia, head straight to Gerald's Kia and ask for Matt Vega! Tom Kia's #1 IQ_ Rating by JD Powers is quite impressive. This makes me even more confident about chosing a Kia over any other Make. More
Outstanding customer service and great deals! My wife and I just leased a 2016 Optima SX from Gerald Kia in Naperville. We had been looking for a Kia and went to a dealer in Schaumburg, but we My wife and I just leased a 2016 Optima SX from Gerald Kia in Naperville. We had been looking for a Kia and went to a dealer in Schaumburg, but were quickly dismissed and were rushed when we had questions. We were told by her father to head over to the Gerald Kia in Naperville and boy was he right. Matt Vega, the sales man we worked with, was extremely nice and took his time with us. He provided the best customer service I have ever seen in the Auto industry or anywhere else for that matter. Matt is a combat veteran from the war in Irag and Afghanistan and I will make sure I purchase my next new car from him next year. He Deserves every sale that I can through his way. Thank you for everything Matt! Tremain White, was the finance manager we worked with. He had a great up beat personality and took his time going over every inch of the paperwork with us, even though it was 10pm and they had closed hours ago. His great personality and kindness made the process very easy and laid back. Thanks Tremain! All in all, our experience with Gerald Kia and the folks that work there was beyond exceptional. The Best of the Best!!! WHERE DO I BEGIN?!? Got hosed over by the Gerald Kia in N. Aurora. Hubby said "just call the one in Naperville just to see".. so I did. Got ahold of WHERE DO I BEGIN?!? Got hosed over by the Gerald Kia in N. Aurora. Hubby said "just call the one in Naperville just to see".. so I did. Got ahold of "MJ", Michael Johnson. This man saved my life, and my money. He did extensive research on what I was lied to about at the N. Aurora location. Not only did he clear the air, but he got me in the vehicle that I WANTED, oh, and for lower monthly payments than what I was being told at the other place. He took the time to walk us through everything, knew ahead of time we had our children with so handled everything respectfully and expeditiously and with a smile on his face! VERY friendly and exceptional customer service. Not only was MJ a wonderful person to work for, but I MUST throw a huge Thank you to Tremain White! He was very helpful, answered any questions we had, super friendly, and funny. My little girl was playing with the fan, and even tried to pick-pocket him for his phone! (I swear we aren't raising her that way, but it WAS funny!) The overall atmosphere of the building was clean, crisp, yet family-friendly. The management team and ALL employees were wonderful people!! I would definitely check them out prior to going to Aurora. I may have gotten a new employee over there, but they shouldn't leave new ones to gain a customer unless they are 100% knowledgeable. More

With twin boys who are growing fast and my love of traveling, my old car wasn't equipped for our lifestyle. In my new Sorento, we just enjoyed a great vacation and had room to stretch! He made buying a car fun and a little less stressful than it normally is! Since I bought the car on my birthday, he even sent me a giftcard which I cannot wait to use to pamper myself! Getting it right. My brother bought a vehicle from the Gerald Kia of Naperville on May 28, 2016. There was an issue with the original contract that required my brother My brother bought a vehicle from the Gerald Kia of Naperville on May 28, 2016. There was an issue with the original contract that required my brother to return a few days later to resign a new contract. At this time I became involved in the transaction. We returned to the dealership June 1st. This is when I met Anthony Triner (General Manager). We began to discuss the problem with the old contract. The purchase price for the vehicle was advertised at $14, 777. The contract had the vehicle selling for $15,777. This was a difference of $1,000. Another issue with the contract was that a down payment of $3,000 was applied towards the car but the written contract stated it was only $2,000. I asked Mr. Triner how these mistakes could have happened and he couldn't give me a straight answer. After arguing and discussing for over 3 1/2 hours, we left the dealership with a new contract that had the agreed upon terms. As my family and I were leaving the dealership, Mr Triner came to our cars and apologized. However, at no time did he admit that he made a mistake for the transaction. This is especially poignant as to raising the cost of the vehicle $1,000 over the advertised price and the mistake on the down payment. Later that night I researched the Gerald auto group company to find a corporate employe. I found the email address of a district manager and made her aware of my concerns. She forward my email to the owner of Geral auto group. The next morning I received a call from Mr. Triner apologizing for the way the transaction was handled. He also included an extended warranty free of charge. I thanked Mr. Triner for calling me and told him that I would speak to my brother about the new offer. I then received another call later that evening from Mr. Doug Gerald the owner of Gerald Auto Group. We spoke for about 15 mins and Mr. Gerald made it right. He answered all of my questions and asked what my family wanted to make it right. I told him that we would take Mr. Triners offer and that we appreciated him taking the time to make things right. My family and I felt closure after speaking with Mr. Gerald. We have a history buying vehicles from Gerald Auto and will continue doing business because of the leadership of this company. More
