We had set a limit on what we could spend for a truck. I wanted a truck with 4 wheel drive and hopefully a Chevy. My wife and I had been looking for a couple of weeks, praying that God would lead us to the wanted a truck with 4 wheel drive and hopefully a Chevy. My wife and I had been looking for a couple of weeks, praying that God would lead us to the right truck for us. After looking for a couple of weeks. We happened to be going past Fred Mueller's when my wife asked about stopping there so I pulled in. When I parked our car, I was met by Mike Koehler. Mike listened as I told him what I was looking for and what our price limit was. Mike said it was hard to find a decent truck in that range, however he showed me something a little higher. Since it was all Fred Mueller's had in the lot that was close to our budgeted price, it was a nice truck, and the price was close enough the our budgeted price that we could still swing it, we took it for a test drive. In truth this truck ran good, had the longer bed, it had a topper and a deer guard. This was really a nice truck and more than I was looking for, but somehow it just wasn't right for me. While we on the test drive, Mike Koehler was busy trying to find a truck within the price I'd given and that was more like what I wanted. Mike met us at the truck and told us that before we made a decision he'd found a truck in Merrill that was in our budget, had a warranty, and showed us a picture. That truck seemed like a nicer deal, so we said we'd like to drive over and see it. Mike said that since we lived such a short way from the Fred Mueller's in Wausau, if we liked, he would drive over to Merrill himself to get the Chevy truck and call us when he returned. Ninety minutes later Mike Koehler called us and we drove right over. Mike told us what he thought about the truck, pointed out the repairs that had been done and that hood squeaked when you lifted it. It even had after market lights along the bottom in the back. We took it for a test drive. Oh man, after weeks of looking, this was just what I'd been hoping to find, and my wife liked it too (bonus). This is an important purchase, it was late and I wanted to be sure, so told Mike that we wanted to sleep on it and would return first thing in the morning. Mike Koehler told us we could take the truck home for the night. WOW! We were both surprised by the offer, but didn't take Mike up on it. As we drove up in our car this morning, we met Mike Koehler, he was on his way to the mechanic to make sure the doors and the hood were oiled, and the truck detailed. Our dog was in the car, Mike said Fred Mueller's was dog friendly so bring her in and he immediately offered us coffee. Not too much later there we several dog owners at Fred Mueller's with their dogs. We paid for my Chevy truck and Mike said the paperwork and detailing would take about 45 minutes. My wife said that was great she wanted to go to a tire shop and make an appointment for new tires and to have the brakes checked because of a grinding noise. Mike Koehler said that Fred Muehler's mechanic shop sold the same brand brand of tire with a lowest price in the area guarantee. Mike Koehler even talked to his boss and was able to give my wife his employee discount for her brakes. It turned out the grinding noise was not her brakes, but a rear bearing. Fred Mueller's started working on it immediately. I have dealt with car dealerships before that left a bad taste. In fact, most dealerships weren't interested or tried to sell me a car when they heard my budgeted price. Here's what's different about Fred Mueller's. At Fred Mueller's you're called guests not customers. Everyone treated us like we were really important. Even though from the first minute Mike Koehler knew I was looking for a very inexpensive truck, the way everyone treated us you'd have thought we were buying a $60,000 truck. Mike Koehler didn't have to look for another truck. Mike LISTENED to what I wanted and went way out of his way to find that truck. The first stop I made with my Chevy truck was to show it off to my brother. As I'm showing it off, I'm also telling him about Fred Mueller's, finally my brother stops me and says, "Hey Bro do you hear yourself talking about this car dealership, you're telling me more about Fred Mueller's than you are about the truck." I guess I was. Mike Koehler called tonight to see how my Chevy truck was running, and to ask about my wife's car. When he found out that it was a rear bearing instead of her brakes, he said that he'd check on the car before going home. I told Mike it would be ready tomorrow. Mike said in that case he'd check on the car tomorrow and call back tomorrow night to make sure everything was OK. Mike said he was glad that the car was being fixed because a bearing can freeze up and snap the axle. I told him I'd seen this happen to a relative's car. I thanked Mike for calling and told him how impressed I was. Mike said he just wants to treats people the way he would like to be treated. I guess that says it all. More

We purchased a 2012 GMC Sierra and had a bed liner sprayed in, our old topper painted to match the new truck, mud flaps put on and they even polished our old (4 years) running boards and put them on the new truck. Oh, did I mention Landon drove to Marshfield to pick up our truck so they could take off the topper and paint it for the new truck. He left a 2013 Buick Lacrosse for us to use. They had all the work done in 1 day and it looks great! Everyone in the showroom were very friendly along with the parts manager, service manager, and of course Russ the finance manager. We called several times with questions, and not once did Landon ever seem upset or bothered by the calls. He had answers for us immediately. Thanks again Landon and Russ. Your kindness was GREATLY appreciated and we will definitely refer our friends and relatives to Fred Mueller Automotive. Sincerely, Gary and Donna Parks More

The dealership was fast, friendly and efficient. They got us in an out in about 2-3 hours. After speaking to a salesman, and he told us the car we wanted to test drive was really clean, the tires were good, one owner, nice clean car...we decided to drive from Green Bay to Wausau. The only good wanted to test drive was really clean, the tires were good, one owner, nice clean car...we decided to drive from Green Bay to Wausau. The only good thing about this whole day was the pretty autumn colors. We looked at the exterior of the car which poor to say the least. Upon opening the door the smeall of old smoke was so apparent it was almost nauseating....Food smashed into the carpet..ashes..didn't look detailed at all. Front tires like slicks...The salesman comes out says he didn't notice the smell when he drove it up..lie #1. We didn't even get in the car and could smell the stench. Oh but there is a box he can put in there to take out the smell. My husband says you think these are good tires? He replies oh there must be about a year left on them...lie #2. I would never have drove my children out of the parking lot on them. Then I noticed rust bubbling on the bottom of the door..my husband gets down to look under the car and is able to stick his finger right through to the carpet! Tells the saleman to take alook which he wouldn't do. I go inside to use the restroom and tell a different saleman thow dishonest the other salesman is and instead of asking me what the problem was he shrugged his shoulders! So 3 hours of our time and a tank of gas..the kicker is this car is still on their webpage..beware! More
I was in the market to purchase a used truck about a month ago and had my eye on a 2004 chevrolet silverado. Kenny Shultz was the salesman I delt with.I had some cash in hand and my 02' olds intrigue to trade in and was intending to see what I could find without financing, to find not much out there worth looking at for that price range. Kenny suggested trying a credit application so I went ahead with it. After sitting there with my father for an hr or so, kenny came back and said I was approved for financing through G.M. financial and they were offering a super low intrest rate in the low 2% range. So I test drove the truck in town and liked it other than a big scratch on the tailgate and a rusty receiver hitch, but told him If he lowered the price of the truck that I would purchase it. He said he would and offered $1,300 for my trade and I had $2,500 down. There was some trouble with financing because I had no proof of income with me so I had to return the following monday(labor day) and my dealings were now with Russ Vasilovich. Russ called me by the wrong name a couple times and didnt seem to have his act together asking me to fill out information all over again when he could have just went and talked to kenny. He showed me all the financing paperwork and as I was signing i saw the intrest rate was now 16.9%! It was too late at that point to go back and russ gave me a bunch of excuses about kenny being new and all kinds of things. After driving the truck a week or so I noticed alot of stuff wrong with the truck that I didnt just by test driving in town, like service engine light coming on, and the fact I no longer had a receiver hitch to haul anything(which WAS on the truck when I test drove it)and my father said the same. I remember it because it was the first thing my dad pointed out, and some other things that I brought up to kenny and he denied knowledge of anything and said Fred Mueller was not obligated to help me in any way and had me drive an hr just to tell me that instead of over the phone. The pic he showed me that he said was taken when they first got the truck was in a program my wife uses only for picture editing by the way, to show there was not a hitch on vehicle and I was mistaken. In the end I feel they gave me NO "deal" on this truck, they took my cash and my trade and said so long to me with a truck I paid more than full price for and now have a bunch of problems to fix. I will never buy a vehicle from fred mueller again. I had a very bad buying experience, and will ecourage people to stay away from doing so without a doubt.I find no itegrity in this company, only greed and disorganization. More
