I had a check engine light come on and was wary of driving it the 60+ miles from my house in Marion. So I had it towed to FW Kia. After a couple of days, we were told it was a Cam shaft position senso driving it the 60+ miles from my house in Marion. So I had it towed to FW Kia. After a couple of days, we were told it was a Cam shaft position sensor and we authorized the repair. I picked it up the following day, paid for it, and left. I drove 10 miles down the road and the check engine light came back on. I turned around and went back. It was worked on for a couple of hours, before I was told it was fixed and that it was the "other sensor". I drove home (60+ miles) and my battery light and brake light came on. I made an appointment for 10am a few days later. When I showed up at 9:40 for a 10am appointment,, I was told it would be 1 hr and 40 minutes before they could look at it. Which seemed odd since I had an appointment. What good did the appointment do if I still had to wait. After about 2 hrs or so, someone finally came in and told me that they were looking at it, and it would take two hours before we knew what the problem was. 3 hours later, someone came in and told me that my car needed a new battery ($150), an alternator ($500) and a CVVT ?? exhaust something or other that was $3000. I authorized the battery and alternator, and declined the CVVT. A few hours later, it was ready to go. I was told that the CVVT issue would cause my check engine light to come on. I asked why this wasn't discovered or mentioned when I was in just the week before for the check engine light, and if the cam sensor position was even the issue originally. I did not receive a satisfactory reply. By that time, I had spent 7+ hours in the waiting area (a whole other rant). Overall, I spent over $1200 I feel the $539 for the Cam sensor position repair was unnecessary since the CVVT Exhaust issue now seems to be the problem. Again, why wasn't that mentioned at all when it was checked just a few days prior. I also question the "coincidence" of the alternator going out just an hour after the car was worked on. I don't have enough automotive knowledge to be able to tell if I've been taken advantage of, but the whole experience left me with a bad taste for FW Kia service. More

It was very pleasant to deal with all of the people involved in returning my leased vehicle and purchasing a used vehicle. I was not satisfied with the detail work inside the vehicle. I'm still plannin involved in returning my leased vehicle and purchasing a used vehicle. I was not satisfied with the detail work inside the vehicle. I'm still planning to take the car back in to have them address minimal scratches and dents and paint loss in a couple of areas. More
