Drove down from Summit County to work with five Denver Metro area Nissan dealers looking for a new 2014 Xterra. One was "old school" and unpleasant. Two were OK, but nothing special. One was much better, but Tynan's of Fort Collins was extraordinary in all respects. Very helpful, quick to answer questions, no-pressure negotiations, respectful and accommodating of my needs. Overall a pleasant* vehicle-buying experience orchestrated from start to finish by salesman Todd Hayman. Especially helpful to me was being introduced to the various departments at Tynan's and meeting the managers and staff. The cleanliness and appearance of the dealership was impressive. The 270 mile round trip from my home (driven twice), and multiple phone calls and emails over an eight-day period prior to delivery, were all worth it in the end. Have nothing but good things to say about Tynan's and would unhesitatingly recommend the dealership to others. * Not an oxymoron. Hard to believe, I know, but true! More
We were in the market for a small sized SUV and were following recommendations from Consumers Report. Had almost decided on a Subaru Forester when we decided to drive a Nissan Rogue. It had everything following recommendations from Consumers Report. Had almost decided on a Subaru Forester when we decided to drive a Nissan Rogue. It had everything we wanted and more. We found it even got better gas mileage than the Forester. Jake Howard was great to work with. We told him how much we could pay, what our limitations were and he went to work to help us. The day after we signed all the papers, we discovered a mistake in the calculations and called Jake. He found the mistake and in no time, new papers were drawn up and signed and we were on our way. We have a Nissan Leaf and really love it. I'm sure we're going to enjoy our new red Rogue as well. We have already recommended this dealership to several of our friends. More
The experience was better than we expected. Tried to keep our business in our home town but I just didn't feel the confidence in any of the our dealerships (HATE TO BE ATTACKED AT THE CAR DOOR). Everyone at our business in our home town but I just didn't feel the confidence in any of the our dealerships (HATE TO BE ATTACKED AT THE CAR DOOR). Everyone at the Tynan's were very friendly and knowledgeable. My wife is the worrier of the family Todd Hayman had his hands full with her. When everything was signed and over with. Chris had gone shopping for a rate and ended up saving me some money (I Was preapproved by another company and he beat that). I never would have expected to hear that she really enjoyed the total experience. We both feel that we have a good working relationship with the Tynan's dealership. Tynan's staff has made our needs and interests their main objective. Vehicle had a couple of minor scratches they buffered them out and Tinted the windows. When I picked up the Altima I was very impressed with the work they did. Jenny Kaplan a real Class Act keep up the good work. To me it looked like everyone at the dealership takes pride and enjoys what they do "Keep Up The Good Work". Other dealerships could learn something from Tynan's Nisan. More
I gave my initial review back on 10/07/2013 shortly after purchasing a 2006 Chevy Equinox from Tynan's Nissan. See my original review below for details. I did follow up with a BBB claim and still Tynan's re purchasing a 2006 Chevy Equinox from Tynan's Nissan. See my original review below for details. I did follow up with a BBB claim and still Tynan's refused to make the repair to the vehicle that was stated to have been repaired prior to selling it to me. They noted many issues on their "Used Car Multi-Point Inspection" dated 7/19/13 they provided me with and then also provided me with documentation of repairs. Apparently NONE of these documented repairs were actually made, as all the problems still existed when I drove the car home after purchasing it. They did repair a couple of those things (previously noted to have been repaired, but not repaired) to include some wiring issues and the front sway bar. However, they have refused over and over to take care of the brake problems, again, which were noted on their own 7/19/13 inspection and they provided me with documentation of having replaced the ABS sensor, having resurfaced the brakes, and having replaced a left front wheel bearing. However, the lights have continued to come on, and the problem has escalated to the vehicle no longer even being safe to drive, as the brakes are continually trying to engage while I am driving down the road! They make grinding sounds and pulsate intermittently when actually braking. Tynan's has made it clear to me that they sold the vehicle "as is"; however, after doing my research, I have found that they themselves provided me with documentation of their findings and their "supposed" repairs prior to putting the vehicle up for sale, yet all of these repairs were never made. That is a gross misrepresentation of the vehicle, and since they have not taken care of it, even after my filing a claim with the BBB, I will be taking the vehicle in to have it repaired myself since it is UNSAFE to drive, and I will be retaining an attorney to file a law suit against them for deceptive practices. I am very unhappy with the way this has been handled, and I tried very hard to resolve all issues on my own, but this has escalated into a very serious problem, and they have left me with no options but to proceed with legal action. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. More
From the start of my experience, Jake and Tynan's were excellent help in my Nissan Leaf purchase. This was one of the easiest car buying experiences I have ever had. Everyone was very friendly and easy to work with, and seemed to genuinely care about my satisfaction with the car and the sales experience ever had. Tynan's Nissan in Fort Collins, Colorado. I have an ABS light on my Xterra. They want $99 to diagnose. I go to my Big O Tire on North College. They code the problem as a bad right front hub for free ABS light on my Xterra. They want $99 to diagnose. I go to my Big O Tire on North College. They code the problem as a bad right front hub for free. The hub is under my extended warranty. I go to Nissan. They say that its the speed sensor which is bad and not covered under my warranty. They want $600 to replace speed sensor. I don't do it and go back to Big O Tire with a purchased speed sensor:$215. They look at the hub and come back to me that the hub is bad which is the reason that the speed sensor is damaged. They also say that the speed sensor should be sold with a new hub-that the two are sold together. They put a new hub and speed sensor in for $90 labor and the new hub and speed sensor together cost $299. Also, Nissan service did not even plug back in the old speed sensor! So I call Nissan and we have it out on the phone. They claimed that they would have seen the bad hub if I would have let them do the repair! So what would they have done: charged me for the speed sensor, have it fail and then have me come back so they could charge me more money. Unbelievable. These guys are the worst. Don't go there. More
