Arrogant, disrespectful "Internet Sales Manager - Miles Padberg" I was viewing new 2013 F150 Super Crew trucks on Autotrader.com and saw several that peaked my interest at this dealership. I de Miles Padberg" I was viewing new 2013 F150 Super Crew trucks on Autotrader.com and saw several that peaked my interest at this dealership. I decided to contact them through the autotrader contact window and listed my complete name, email and phone number and asked if they had the truck that interested me the most and what they might be willing to give me for my pristine 07 Fusion AWD loaded with every option and only 55000 miles. Miles contacted me via email, my preferred method, and said in his original email that the truck was available and "when can (I) come in?" I replied that I was in Spokane and would not be making the trip unless we can come to a suitable agreement first. In his second email, Miles responded with, "What are (you) "expecting" to get for your trade? When we are thousands under wholesale on our vehicle." This caught me off guard and I responded that I (of course) expected high book trade for my car and that if their remarkable price was "no trade" then that should be noted in their website ad. I was not then nor ever in my communication with Miles trying to negotiate a lower price on the truck. Miles then responds, " I'm not here to waste your time, we would be on the low end on trade-in value 6,500 - 7,500 depending on condition. If this isn't acceptable you can try to get 13,500 off MSRP at your local dealer or sell the vehicle on your own." The arrogant nastiness of Miles' tone irritated me to no end. He seems to imply that the low price of their vehicle (they have several at this price) meant that my car was worth less - make that MUCH less than even NADA Rough Trade In value! My car is close to perfect condition and NADA Rough Trade value is $9250 with a high retail of $13,500. I've purchased 75 vehicles in my lifetime and I understand that you don't always get the deal you want - that's part of the "game" dealers play with buyers. USUALLY, their vehicles are priced above "high book" and they use auction pricing for your trade, hey, it's just the way it is. What I don't understand is Miles making this a snotty personal issue rather than keeping the tone and demeanor of the communication in a businesslike tone. When asked what I "expect" for trade, I always say the highest price possible, I guess I should have said that I just wanted Kirkland Ford to take my car and not give me anything for it! He seems to believe that the price they set for their truck should offset me getting a fair trade for my car. Being an experienced auto buyer, I know there are more deals "out there" than just one dealer's, in fact in this case, there is a Lithia dealer in Boise, Idaho with similar pricing ($1000 higher) for the same truck. The pricing is fine but the unprofessional attitude of the "Internet Manager - Miles Padberg" is not. Kirkland Ford, your business is judged by the people you put in "front" of the public. This individual needs to be relegated to lot boy until he can figure out how to deal professionally with the public. More
The service was ok. I had a hard time getting calls back on my vehicle and it took way too long to fix the problem I was having with the vehicle. Once returned to me, I noticed the problem wasn't even fixe on my vehicle and it took way too long to fix the problem I was having with the vehicle. Once returned to me, I noticed the problem wasn't even fixed after spending 2K on the repair on the engine. Gave the vehicle back to me and told me a bunch of things that need to be replaced to repair the problem further. So if I knew the all up problem with my vehicle, I could of avoided spending the initial amount. Note, this was within two weeks of buying the vehicle from them and needed major engine repairs. Ticking noise. More
They will rip you off on the price. Never trust them on that. Review each line item very carefully. Maybe all dealers are this way, but I cannot say I had a pleasant experience. that.
