I was checking out dealer stock online when I happened on the Abarth outfitted exactly as I wanted it. I clicked the link to schedule a test drive. This was done at 1:00am in the morning. At 9:00am I got a c the Abarth outfitted exactly as I wanted it. I clicked the link to schedule a test drive. This was done at 1:00am in the morning. At 9:00am I got a call from Angela and I said I wanted a test drive for noon that day. When I got there I immediately asked Angela if the Abarth I saw online was still available. It was in transit and still available! So we test drove an Abarth they had sitting around and it was fantastic. We returned to the dealership and I plunked down my deposit. I had to wait just 18 long days until it got to the dealership. It was there when originally promised and I took delivery the same day. People order these cars and have to wait months. Angela was great. However, I cannot recommend this dealership because of Caleb Denis. He is a thief of the first order. He inflated the price of the new car to offset the price I negotiated for my trade in. In the instalment contract he added about $1200 and I didn't notice it until I got home with my new car. Live and learn. BUT learn from my mistake and STAY AWAY from Fiat of Manhattan!!! More
Caleb Denis is the biggest rip off artist. Buyer beware!!!!!!! Tried to rip me off on the Ally Lease bank fee by charging me $795 when it was really $50 Promised to make up for it buy offering free all weather floor mats...10 calls later....no response! BEFORE YOU SIGN......think twice about even dealing with Fiat of Manhattan and Caleb Denis. If you must then get the lease the prior to signing it to review it. Check the bank fee. Leases are very confusing so do your research to read and understand the contract. I did and it prevented me from being ripped off nearly $750.00 Best of all....Caleb Denis said to me "I'm an honest man"....Yeah right!!!! More
I went into the FIAT dealership with my two small children. We saw this beautiful, black FIAT 500 Abarth on display. I was not planning to purchase a car since I leave in Manhattan, I already own a V children. We saw this beautiful, black FIAT 500 Abarth on display. I was not planning to purchase a car since I leave in Manhattan, I already own a Vespa and I love using the subway. Anyhow, Mr Cooper was so gentle and friendly. He took all of us in the garage and he showed us few FIAT 500. Never ask me to buy one, he was just very professional. We went back to the showroom, we looked at the black FIAT 500 Abarth again and I just asked him to turn the engine on. It sounded as a Ferrari or an Aston Martin. Few hours later I was already driving downtown Manhattan. The car is fast, comfortable, and fun, a lot of fun. I get compliments every time I took it. FIAT also offered me a one year $ 99.00 a month parking garage! One of the best deal ever in New York unless you win the Lotto!!! I greatly recommend working with Mr Cooper. Salvatore More
I am not one to write on review sites, but my experience I am not one to write on review sites, but my experience at Fiat of Manhattan with Lemiron Starling and Caleb Denis has compelled me to write to help I am not one to write on review sites, but my experience at Fiat of Manhattan with Lemiron Starling and Caleb Denis has compelled me to write to help insure that unsuspecting New Yorkers won’t fall for Lemiron Starling and Caleb Denis’s lies, manipulations and falsehoods that they perpetrate at Fiat of Manhattan. I am going to quickly outline what I view as the dishonest and frankly, inhuman way that the sales staff of Fiat of Manhattan (Lemiron Starling and Caleb Denis ) try to, (in my opinion,) STEAL money from unsuspecting car buyers or leasers. ONE: Lemiron Starling and Caleb Denis do the “BAIT and SWITCH”. I had been over there with my girlfriend a couple of days earlier, and I had also brought my Honda Fit over so they could see it for they said they could buy out my lease. I called Lemiron Starling to get a final price. He told me on the phone that they would give me $345 a month to lease the car (with the Honda buyback) with $2500 down. When we arrived with $1000 cash payment in hand to reserve the car, Lemiron Starling said “Oh I am sorry, that price was for financing - I made a MISTAKE. The price for Leasing is really $409 with $2500 down. It wasn’t a mistake. Lemiron Starling sells cars for a living. You don’t make that kind of mistake when it comes to numbers. It was the classic BAIT and SWITCH. SHAME ON YOU, Honda of Manhattan. And Shame on me for falling for it. TWO: Lemiron Starling and Caleb Denis tried to charge us a $895 leasing fee from ALLY Financing. After some checking at another dealer, I found out that the fee from ALLY is only $295. That is STEALING in my book. THREE: Lemiron Starling and Caleb Denis never inform customers that the $99 a month New York City parking deal that comes with a New Fiat (really $117 with tax) is only for NEW Quik Park customers. After some checking I found out that if you are a current Quik Park customer, the rate does not apply for you. FOUR: They will RUN DOWN THE STREET to get you back and manipulate you more.These guys will do whatever it takes to work you over the coals. After trying to negotiate the final amount down to a reasonable level, I told Lemiron that we could not go any lower and to call us on Monday if he could find a way to make it work. My girlfriend and I left. Not 5 minutes later, Lemiron is chasing us down the street saying : “Yes, I worked it out with Caleb! We will give you your price!” We walked back, and the same nonsense continued. FIVE: Lemiron Starling ASKED for a CASH PAYMENT to negotiate! I didn’t give it to him, but Lemiron Starling kept asking. Incredible. FIVE: After I asked Lemiron Starling if (x amount of money) would be the FINAL amount that I would owe, that I would bring in to pick up the new Fiat, Lemiron Starling said “Yes.” (My girlfriend who was there with me witnessed it too.) So we signed the contracts, giving Lemiron Starling a $1000 cash deposit to secure the car which he took to Mr. Dennis. My girlfriend and I then started planning our vacation with the new Fiat knowing that we would pick it up the following Friday as we waited for Lemiron to return. Then Lemiron Starling came back (now get this!) with a NEW contract, asking me to sign it AGAIN, saying that the numbers were in the wrong places. Under one line on the new contract was some tiny unreadable words scribbled in saying something which we couldn’t read. “What is that? I asked. “Oh that is just taxes and fees. It is nothing. “ Lemiron replied “How much exactly will that be?” I said defiantly. Lemiron Starling said “ Oh, it is nothing.” I requested he go and find out the exact amount. Again, Lemiron Starling said “ Oh it is nothing.” I said, “Please go and find out the exact amount.” Lemiron Starling came back and told me that it would be $1700 dollars more!!! I was flabbergasted. I asked for my money back. “Oh, let’s talk about this..” Lemiron warbled. I immediately went to Caleb Denis’s desk, (who seems to me to be the mastermind of this scam.) “I need my $1000 back.” I said calmly. “What seems to be the problem?” Caleb Denis replied. ? “What seems to be the problem? You know what the problem is.” I responded trying not to make a scene. “Let’s talk about this.” Caleb Denis pontificated like he was Tony Soprano. I said. “Give me my money back now, or I am going to call the police. I will be waiting over there.” In about 5 minutes, Lemiron Starling came back with our $1000 deposit. No apologies. My girlfriend and I couldn’t even look at him. We counted the cash to insure it was all there and we left, having lost THREE hours of precious life with this ridiculousness, feeling disgusted, and frankly, emotionally beat up. I called Fiat USA main offices and spoke with a woman asking for someone to call me to help deal with the situation. It has been a week and no one has contacted me. Here’s the big question: DOES FIAT of USA condone this type of lying and manipulation that was perpetrated at Fiat of Manhattan in order to make money? How about a good product at a good price? Don’t go anywhere near Fiat of Manhattan. Never in my life have I experienced such dishonesty at a car dealership. More
The dealership is clean, nicely set up & in a convenient location. Display models are available to sit in and drive. Griffin Green is very pleasant, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. it was a pleasure to decide which car to buy from him within the dealership. the negotiating process with the manager (through Griffin)was very very slow i almost gave up once the price was decided the manager added a $1000 charge that was not discussed i was walking out so they took it off im glad i stayed & leased the car Rachelle in finance was very thorough regarding all the possible added coverage she was very nice to work with as well. i really like the car More
While the employees were very nice, they almost seemed reluctant to give me a breakdown on the price of the car and terms of the lease. They ultimately gave me the information. The salesmen did too much of the back and forth, good/bad cop routine; however, i got what i wanted. The sale took too long (nearly 5 hours). I caught the dealer on a few bait and switches, but whn i did they backed off. Overall, i love the car and hd a favorable transaction More

We were immediately approached. Lemiron was very friendly and informative but not high pressured. He was very patient and courteous as he answered all our questions. The entire process of leasing the FIAT was painless and fun with Lemiron. It was nice to meet Caleb Dennis, the Director who was also friendly. We think the opportunity of parking our FIAT in Manhattan for $99.00 a month is a genius idea and was the deciding factor in our decision to lease a FIAT. More

I went to the FIAT Studio with the intention to buy a Fiat 500, but didn't know anything about financing/leasing or availabilities of cars. I walked in with no appointment and was greeted by Angela, who Fiat 500, but didn't know anything about financing/leasing or availabilities of cars. I walked in with no appointment and was greeted by Angela, who was on the phone at that time. 10 minutes later I was sitting down with Angela and we were talking about the cars she had available. I was inquiring about the $149/month including parking leasing deal that was advertised on TV, and Angela informed me that this was only for manual transmission and the $149 would only include parking for three months and after that the parking would be $99/month extra, which is still a very good deal for Manhattan. I was interested to see the cars she had available, but they had no cars in the colors I wanted. Angela showed me around their garage and their available cars and I was interested in either a black or red FIAT 500 Pop. She was able to find a black one for me and then we walked down to talk about the money stuff. I told her that I am a new driver in the US and never had bought a car before, so I needed some explanations of how everything works. After agreeing to monthly payments, we started the process. Caleb, who is the manager there, helped with the forms. Once the financing was approved, we called up a couple of car insurers, until we found a rate I was comfortable with. Then Angela helped me to sign up for the $99 parking. After three hours I was able to take my brand new car home. This was a great shopping experience and I can highly recommend the FIAT of Manhattan and the excellent service of Angela and Caleb. More
