Waylon could sell ice in Antarctica with both hands tied behind his back. And not because he is a fast talking, pushy sales guy. He is funny, likable, personable, charming, reasonable, low key and just pl behind his back. And not because he is a fast talking, pushy sales guy. We didn't even know that we were in the market for a Toyota. Never had one before. Looking for a 7 passenger vehicle with a list of options. Telephone call hooked us up with Bobbie Willert. Bobbie showe Toyota. Never had one before. Looking for a 7 passenger vehicle with a list of options. Telephone call hooked us up with Bobbie Willert. Bobbie showed us the light and within a weeks time we joined the Toyota family with our 2013 Highlander Limited. Not only did Bobbie lead us the way to the Highlander, he has been especially helpful with setting up the technical details, Bluetooth and navigation. We want to thank Bobbie for making our decision a little easier. More
This was our second new vehicle purchase in two years from Toyota and Johnny Sime. Last year we purchased a 2012 Toyota Sienna Minivan as our main family vehicle, this year while having our 10,000 mile from Toyota and Johnny Sime. Last year we purchased a 2012 Toyota Sienna Minivan as our main family vehicle, this year while having our 10,000 mile oil change on the Sienna we purchased a 2013 Toyota Tundra double cab truck as my husband's primary vehicle. Both purchases went so smoothly I couldn't have asked for a simpler or easier business transaction. Our salesman Johnny Sime was awesome. I appreciated that he was down to earth and practical about our needs, he didn't try to sell us more vehicle than what we needed. Johnny was very honest with us and worked hard to get us a great deal on the vehicles we wanted. Johnny also was extremly accomodating about taking care of a lot of the details without us having to be there every second because for the second year in a row we had our two daughter with us and needed to take them to lunch in the middle of the process. Johnny went above and beyond by lending me his laptop so that I could download and print out some needed documentation. I also really enjoy shopping and having my vehicles serviced at Toyota of the Black Hills. Their waiting area is well lit and extremely clean and it's carpeted and well furnished. Our daughters never mind waiting there while we do business and the sales staff will often come over and turn on cartoons for them. They also serve some really good coffee which is necessary for me to accomplish anything. Thanks again to Johnny Sime I couldn't ask for a better salesman and will definitely be purchasing my next vehicle from Johnny and Toyota...a Prius for my work commute perhaps? More
After looking around and getting beat up by other not-so friendly and accommodating dealerships. I submitted a request for a decent vehicle under $10K to the Toyota of the Black Hills website and within on friendly and accommodating dealerships. I submitted a request for a decent vehicle under $10K to the Toyota of the Black Hills website and within one hour Joe brown called me with some info on a few cars that were in my price range. When my wife and I arrived at the dealership we were greeted with a firm handshake and a smile by Joe our salesman. Joe was patient, candid, courteous, and kind throughout our entire car buying experience that day. He even took the time to give my son Alex some words of wisdom regarding car safety. My wife was so happy when she drove her new car home that night. The following day our car didn't start so I called Joe who coordinated a time slot in a very busy service department--The diagnostic revealed a weak battery. The service department, in-turn sent a driver to Interstate and picked up a brand new battery and installed it as I waited-WOW!!! This was GREAT customer service. My wife's car runs great now... Thanks for everything Joe, we love our car and we love our salesman Joe Brown at Toyota of the Black Hills. Joe called us the next day to make sure we were happy. This was by far the BEST car buying experience I have ever had!!!! Mark, Yvonne, and Alex More
Bobby Willert was very easy to work with. When we arrived to test drive the vehicle, Bobby had it pulled in front and warmed up (it was a cold day, so this was appreciated). He did not attempt to "u arrived to test drive the vehicle, Bobby had it pulled in front and warmed up (it was a cold day, so this was appreciated). He did not attempt to "upsell" us to a higher priced vehicle. I did not get the typical games that some dealers use during price negotiation, and we quickly reached agreement on price. Overall, it was a very pleasing buying experience and I will consider both Bobby and Black Hills Toyota for future purchases. More
Nick Jacobs was fine to work with. The sales manager, his name escapes me, was arrogant and dismissive. Too cheap to offer a full tank of gas with the purchase of a $30,000 car. Pathetic. As the saying goes: "Buyer beware". I bought a used vehicle (not a Toyota) from Toyota of the Black Hills, Rapid City, SD, and was assured that it had passed a 150 point inspection test and that n used vehicle (not a Toyota) from Toyota of the Black Hills, Rapid City, SD, and was assured that it had passed a 150 point inspection test and that nothing was wrong with it. I made it very clear to the salesperson (Bobby Willert) that I needed a reliable and safe car. He reassured me that everything was in order. After the sale I discovered a problem with the suspension. Bobby Willert arranged for the car to be fixed. Repairs were made to the suspension at the Toyota Dealership, but the source of the problem was not properly identified and remedied. I called the salesperson to explain that the problem was not fixed. He did not return my call. I took the car to an independent auto repair shop and they identified and repaired the problem satisfactorily. Full repair cost $755.43. My advice to any potential buyer of a used vehicle from Toyota is have it inspected by an independent dealership before purchasing. The upfront cost may save you hundreds of dollars in the long term, when clearly the Toyota 150 inspection test doesn't appear to count for anything much. At the bare minimum, thoroughly inspect the vehicle of interest and take it for a long test drive on different road surfaces and at different speeds. I feel that Toyota should have honored their assurances that the car was in proper working order, and should have fixed the suspension completely. In addition, I also discovered that one of the doors does not unlock with the plip key, and the spare plip key electronics do not work (typically $80+ for a new one). For this reason I give the dealership rating an overall experience of 2 - Bad. More
I recently had a repeat service issue which needed to be fixed. Thanks to Rochelle I was ultimately treated well as a customer. Unfortunately, it was after not such great treatment by the service writer, fixed. Thanks to Rochelle I was ultimately treated well as a customer. We have been searching for a used 4-runner and found the 2005 on the Toyota of the Black Hills website. It was a new post, therefore had no information available. We contacted the dealership at closing and 2005 on the Toyota of the Black Hills website. It was a new post, therefore had no information available. We contacted the dealership at closing and spoke to Nate Sneed. He promised pictures and details by morning. True to his word, there were numerous pictures with details about every little scratch, as well as, the many features about the vehicle. Nate was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. When we arrived to purchase, he had the vehicle and financing all arranged and we had completed the transaction and were on the road in under two hours. Excellent service! Love our "new" 4-runner!!
