We will never buy anywhere but Darling's We purchased a 2011 Toyota Camry from Josh Larsen at Darling's about 2 years ago. We loved the car and the buying experience so much we went back when we decided to buy a second vehicle. We asked for Josh specifically and he helped get us into the perfect car....another Toyota Camry. Nate Marquis knocked quite a bit off the price for us and even got us a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. Nate was fantastic and answered all our questions and even brought us some cookies. I cannot Express how much I love doing business with these guys. They are not pushy at all and allow you to take the lead, making for a fairly stress free car buying experience. Go to Darling's Augusta and ask for Josh Larsen. You will not be disappointed! A GREAT experience born in disaster! Our beloved 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport fell victim to the "Great Engine Recall" with just under 90,000 miles on it. Unfortunately we happened to be i Our beloved 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport fell victim to the "Great Engine Recall" with just under 90,000 miles on it. Unfortunately we happened to be in North Carolina when it happened! We worked with a dealership in the area to resolve the situation, which was exacerbated by time constraints and the fact that we were towing our boat with us, but they did their best to help. How were we to know that All Wheel Drive was not a popular option in the Carolinas? It also became obvious that trailer towing packages are not available on every dealers shelves and long story short, it was a week before they could secure an AWD model for us and install the required hitch. We were half the night loading the new car and hooking up the trailer and two days later we were back home in Maine. Unfortunately the vehicle they had been able to secure for us did not have all the bells and whistles we'd grown to enjoy on our 2013 and although we originally hadn't thought it would matter, we found out that it did. After only owning the brand new car for three days we called Paul Watson at Darlings in Augusta. Paul had sold us our Santa Fe Sport in 2013, had always treated us fairly and we considered him a friend. We needed a friends advice. Long story short, Paul put us into a brand new 2019 Santa Fe Limited edition and did so very fairly. We thought we'd be taking a 'bath' trading in a new car after only three days, but Paul was able to make the deal work for us and we will be forever grateful to him. If you are looking for a salesman in whom you can trust that will treat you fair and square, you can do no better than Paul Watson! More
A day well spent ! I spent an entire Saturday 8:30-5 exploring my options, test driving my options, ruling things in and out, contemplating over coffee & cookies, gettin I spent an entire Saturday 8:30-5 exploring my options, test driving my options, ruling things in and out, contemplating over coffee & cookies, getting advice from the peanut gallery and, whenever needed, talking it out with Paul Watson. Paul gets major points for patience and pacing and predicting which car I would eventually choose. :-) He gets the gold stars for knowing that I needed to figure out all my reasons and for bringing me an umbrella while I strolled amongst the choices in the rain considering my options. He let me think, ask questions (more than once), explained leasing, ran mileage numbers and talked tires. If you haven't seen it yet, believe me, Paul can read his customers. Thank you Paul for an excellent car buying experience. I will be back but call me if you see the next perfect car I'd love roll in. I'll believe you earlier next time ! When my wife and I visited Darling's Hyundai in Augusta it was only because we wanted to test drive a plug-in hybrid Ioniq and they just happened to h When my wife and I visited Darling's Hyundai in Augusta it was only because we wanted to test drive a plug-in hybrid Ioniq and they just happened to have the only one in the area. Being from the Bangor area it was a bit of a drive, but from the first time I spoke to Ted Hatheway on the phone to arrange a test drive I was impressed with his enthusiasm, knowledge of his inventory and great attitude. When we arrived for the test drive we were greeted at the door and shown right to Ted. He knew every feature of the car in detail and could answer any question we had. He gave me a great test drive, explaining more about the car as we drove. He'd obviously done his homework! When we were done, we asked if he could get that car with the options package we wanted. He immediately started checking with sources in the area, found the exact car we wanted and arranged for it to be delivered the next day. He also gave us a good deal on our trade-in. We had brought our little dog with us expecting to leave her in the car while we did business, but Ted told us to bring her in saying it was a dog friendly place. That was an understatement! While Ted was working out the details, almost every salesperson in the place came over to pet her and show us pictures and tell stories about their dogs. We knew then it was our kind of place! Once Ted had everything arranged, he sent us to Jon, who worked out all the purchase details and got all the paperwork sorted in short order. When we came back later to pick up the car, Jon finished up all the paperwork and Ted went over every feature again in detail so we'd know how to operate everything. He also said we could use any of the Bangor Darling's service centers to have our routine maintenance done so we wouldn't always have to make the drive to Augusta. We can't say enough about what a great and easy experience it was and how wonderful everyone at the dealership was. We wouldn't hesitate to buy another car from them based on our experience and we recommend them highly! More

Paul showed me each car, pointed out the features of each car (I had a long list of must have’s) and he never blinked when I asked for another car. Paul knew I was serious about buying a car and I spend a lot of time in my car, so it had to be comfortable and I wanted to love my car...it had to ‘feel right’ (I was SO indecisive!). I bought #6 of the 7 cars I test drove. I love my car, it has everything on my list! I am so thankful that Paul was patient and easy to talk with about what I wanted in a car. I never felt pressured to buy, I felt like he really listened to me; Paul was very professional. I would highly recommend buying a car at Darling’s! More
