He never made us feel pressured. He made us feel like we were visiting with a good friend. When it was time to sign the paperwork, Jason Decker was also great. He was efficient yet so personable. Another great guy to deal with. While we didn't deal with Raymond Michaud as much, he was also very good to deal with and checked in on us periodically throughout the process. This great team is what will bring us back when we purchase our next vehicle! More

We dealt with Jeff Joler, I was told that he was 'Good People'; which was completely accurate. He was patient and helpful with everything we needed. We test drove 3 cars, as we weren't sure what we wanted, although we had an idea. He helped explain the features of the cars, helped review the positive and the negatives of the 2 we were deciding on. He even helped watch our 4 year old when we were signing papers. I have already recommended Jeff, as well as Darlings to people who asked about my car. I just recommended Darlings to the person who sold me coffee this morning at Dunkin Donuts. I would give them an A+, the are happy, warm friendly people, who were honest and didn't try to put us in something unreasonable. Jim Ropella sat down with us and explained everything, he was also honest and upfront. We appreciate that, and want honest. This is an example of how car selling should be. This was truly a no pressure sale, we are very thankful. More
Lack of Communication Called dealership to buy new tires for my wifes car. My wife was having problems with a tire leaking air. We were not sure if the tire could be plugge Called dealership to buy new tires for my wifes car. My wife was having problems with a tire leaking air. We were not sure if the tire could be plugged or whether we needed to buy new tires. I got an appointment scheduled to look at the tires and either plug them or replace them if needed. I was asked if we would be waiting with the vehicle or leaving it. We asked how long it would take and were told if it was a plug it would be 30 minutes to 1 hour, if it was replacing them then it would be 1-2 hours. Since my wife thought 2 hours would be the longest it would be she told them she would wait. Our appointment was scheduled for 10;00am. My wife showed up for her appointment at 10:00am. Her car was taken and she started waiting. At 1:00 pm the car still wasn't done so my wife went and asked if it was done. She was told it would be another 45 minutes. She asked if she could get a ride to Target while she waited and was driven there. The driver asked what time she wanted to be picked up and since she was told 45 minutes she told the driver to pick her up at 1:45pm. The driver showed up perfectly on time and she went back to the dealership. Upon her return the car was still not done. She continued to wait and at 2pm had to make arrangements to have our daughter picked up at school. Finally as the clock approached 2:30pm she told the service department she needed to leave because my son was finishing school and she needed to pick him up. The car was finally finished around 3 pm. I am no mechanic but it seems quite extreme that changing tires and an alignment would take 5 hours. I have been to other places and the process seemed to go a lot faster. At no time during her wait did any employee approach her and explain what was taking so long or the progress that was being made. She was told 2 hours and that turned into 5, something obviously happened that wasn't planned. If she had known it was going to take that long she would of left the car or gotten a ride somewhere. Needless to say she told me she would never go back there and even though tire rotations are free she is going to pay to have someone else do it. I totally see her frustration and I am sure you do too. If someone had just given her some information and been honest about the time frame I believe she would of remained a customer. More

I have wanted an SUV for several years but didn't think we would be able to ever afford one. Jeff was extremely patient while I walked the lot making sure I got exactly the vehicle that I wanted. I have now bought 4 cars from Jeff and keep coming back because he's the best in our opinion. Raymond helped to get us a deal we could afford and had a no pressure demeanor that we really appreciated. Jim finished the deal on the business end of things and kept us at ease and laughing. Needless to say, we had a great experience and will be back for our next purchase. Thanks to all of the gentlemen who helped to make my SUV dream a reality! More

We purchased a 2011 Dodge I have to say first that I couldn't be more impressed with the entire exerience my wife and I had at Darling's in Augusta. We purchased a 2011 Dodge Journey from them in 2011 new and found it time to move up to the bigger Durango. We were met in the parking lot by our Salesman Jim Engelhardt who wasn't pushy and honestly just wanted to help. I had done my research ahead of time and knew what we were looking for. Jim was patient since we had our 2 youngs kids and answered all of our questions. General Manager Lance Quinn remembered us from our previous purchase and greeted us with a smile and a handshake. Over about a week of answering questions about trade value and lease vs buy options, both Jim and Lance were alway available to answer calls and questions. When it came to the trade they were up front and honest as I knew what it was already worth and I appreciated that. I had been to a competing dealer in the area and was low balled on my trade trade and when they tried to justify their numbers they couldn't. Apparently the other dealer thought I was uneducated buyer, and was just going to hand them a check to pay for their shinny new building. If you're looking for help in buying a vehicle, rather than have one sold to you, Darling's is the place. Thanks again for a great experience. We love our new 2015 Dodge Durango. Pat & Lisa More

The sales staff at Darling's in Augusta were very friendly, helpful and made us feel comfortable. Our sales rep Gary Mitchell was helpful, not pushy and listened to what we wanted. General Manager Lance Quinn really worked with us to bring the price into our range. Business Manager Jason Decker made the paperwork go as fast and smooth as possible. Over all these folks worked together like a team to make our experience the best I have ever had buying a car. I had visited several other dealerships during the day and was less than impressed. I dealt with rudeness and disrespect by the sales staff. I wished I had stared at Darling's in Augusta, ME first this would have made my day better and quicker. I will come back to Darling's for my next vehicle. More

Just bought a 13 f150 from Tim Hachey and was treated great. Absolute fun guy and was willing to work with us for what we wanted a monthly payment! Did the paperwork thru Jason Decker and had a great, fun experience with him again. Who knew signing papers to spend 25,000 to 30000 grand on a truck could be fun. Both Tim and Jason were awesome. Lance Quinn the GM was not bad either. Had to negotiate on getting the chipped window replaced at no charge for a while but got the deal done! I was glad we were able to finish the deal and finish with great service! Was glad they caved in and are paying the full 225 dollars instead of us having to split it and changing our attitude on Darlings over 225 bucks after we bought a brand new sonata and a slightly used f150! Overall, i can now see us continuing business down the road with Darlings again! More
Customer service at Darlings Augusta is EXCELLENT!! I hadn't bought a car in a very long time and when I decided to take the leap, I did a lot of research. I was looking for something reliable and with good gas mileage to help with my daily commute. I also wanted a low mileage, a good deal and I knew what I was budgeted for. I shopped for a few weeks online for a vehicle and also a dealer to do business with. I did my homework and checked reviews on both the cars and the dealerships. My husband and I traveled from Hartford to Augusta because Darlings had great reviews and I thought we would go look. We were prepared to make a day of it and stop at several different places. We never left. We were greeted by Jim Engelhardt (our salesman) and he sat us down and asked what our needs were, he listened to what was important to me and he worked to fill them all. My credit was less than "stellar" and I anticipated some bumps that didn't happen. Jim introduced us to Jason, business manager, showed us a car that seemed to fit my needs and took us for a test drive. They went to work, found financing that was a good fit and a great deal to boot!!! They listen to the customer at Darlings. I had a great experience buying my 2011 Scion from Darlings! I will recommend them to everyone I know. Our trip from Hartford to Augusta was very much worth it and I thank you! . More
