Two days later, Paul helped me get my DD214 from Camp Keys, before taking me through "flight training" for the new car. Later that day, I returned to him for even more help. I had mistakenly discarded the window "sticker" information that was needed to register my new car. Paul made a phone call to a coworker and had a new form printed for me in a matter of minutes. He even gave me a follow-up call the next day to be sure everything was all set and encouraged me to contact him in the future, should I have any questions or surprises. This would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of a certain salesman, Mr. Ted Hathaway. Ted has gone over and above to find my wife and I a car for the past 2 weeks as my credit would only allow so much. we tried out 2 cars in Augusta but they cost to much and the banks would not approve them. There were 3 cars in Bangor that Ted had his finger's on but slipped through only because people either tried them out and put down payments on them and no one told Ted or they got sold out from under him. Ted NEVER gave up, he even missed part of his Daughter's Birthday as he was trying so diligently to put us into a car.our second to last try was a 2009 Hyundai that he 99% thought he had, when that fell though at the last minute, Ted could not bring himself to call and tell my wife as he knew she would cry in despair. Ted vowed that that he was going to work even harder to put us in a new car (I don't know how he could have worked any harder). Finally yesterday he found us this state inspected wholesale car(2008 Kia Rio), when he told us about it this morning, we went right down test drove it, fell in love with it and bought it . Come to find out( and not by Ted), that he only made $100.00 on the car. Pardon me for saying but Ted should have made far far more than that on his commission . He not only sold us a nice car But gave me a hat just like his and a $250.00 gift certificate . In essence what I want to say is Ted went through xxxx to find us a car and that you should be honored and privileged to have such a hard working, dedicated sales person such as Ted. I am going to recommend to everyone that I know that needs to buy a car to please go to Darlings in Augusta and Ted will give 110% to put them in what they need and want. I wish I could pay him for all that he has done for us, and am asking you to please give Ted some sort of recognition(and maybe a little something)for all that he does and will do for your customers.
