I informed him of the vehicles we had been looking at online and even though they were located at their Bangor location Paul made it possible for us to look at the vehicles at the Augusta store so that we did not have to travel, not only once but twice, a week later. Even though we passed on the first showing Paul kept me up to date with more vehicles they had taken in on trade and kept me in the loop. When we had finally decided on a vehicle to purchase, With mere hours notice Paul worked tirelessly for us to get the vehicle we wanted back to the Augusta location for us to purchase. Great sales staff, not pushy I'm of the ilk that car dealerships have a particular reputation. I'm glad to say that Darling's Hyundai did not fulfill this stereotype. Never consid I'm of the ilk that car dealerships have a particular reputation. I'm glad to say that Darling's Hyundai did not fulfill this stereotype. Never considered Hyundai before, even with the stellar reviews. I'm glad we did. My wife and I contacted them and test drove three vehicles, ultimately settling on the Ioniq EV, as we feel EV is the way of the future (no Veloster EV, what a shame). We did wonder why so few dealerships in Maine had this type of vehicles, and were disappointed when we initially read on on-line that the Ioniq EV was only available in CA. A welcome surprise then that just as we had settled on a Nissan Leaf, Darling's happened to have an Ioniq EV delivered. In my opinion, this car surpasses the Leaf, and as I have a hefty commute (44.1 miles in each direction), the range and comfort are important factors. The sales staff we relaxed, and I only received emails when I needed to communicate, unlike the hundreds sent to me by other dealers. I really hate the aggressive approach. Overall, a great buying experience. I should qualify the three star rating for price. EVs are still on the expensive side. I believe Nissan and Hyundai are in direct price point competition with the Leaf and Ioniq. Both are less expensive than the Chevy Bolt and Tesla. More
