Whoever worked on my car forgot to put back the cap to one of the tanks in the hood. I found it by the wiper blades. And the passenger seat glove compartment area was smothered with black oil residue from one of the tanks in the hood. I found it by the wiper blades. I had a 1300 word review which they deflected. So I eliminated the good stuff. It wasn't a bad time, but alot of things went wrong. Scott, Tiffany, Yechel, all hard workers, and great personalities. They are in the right fields. The place is clean. Good chairs. When I got there I was greeted and passed to Scott. I told Scott the story and Scott had me in the car within minutes. Sitting in the car he mistakenly told me the car didn't have regenerative braking. We test drove it anyway. First complaint the driving route didn't involve taking her out on the highway. Got back and I was packing up to go (laptop, bag, water container). I confirmed not only did it have regenerative braking but it had throttle regenerative power. I said ok, I'll be needing the proper form for the tax brake. Yichel told me the car was ineligible. I pulled up the law. I sent him back twice to talk to them. In fact the car is eligible, they just couldn't read the plain language of the law "under 25,000, 2 years older than current date" So 3 hours into the sale, he comes back with a 30,000 bill. The car was 22,000. I said xxxx no, lose some stuff, lose the $899 doc fee. My father, uncle, bro in law, and family friend Gus were all mechanics at some point and bought 30 cars between them...I know the doc fee is malleable. Scott insisted it's set by the corporate and went back there. When he came back I showed him where Consumer ... whatever magazine said the NJ average Doc Fee is $350ish. He doubled down on the lie. I sent him back again. Their water cups are shoddy, and they have a vending machine instead of food. I get sent to the finance person to complete the process. There were no incentives, I'm signing papers, and I come to the forced arbitration agreement. I told them take this out, I'm not signing this. She said you have to to buy the car. I said go take this to the boss tell him he's going to lose the sale. She went back there, came back 15 minutes later. She said it's required. I said The only time I ever agree to this is when somene has something I can't get any other way. My dentist, my apartment complex...etc...and generally not with doctors or anything that costs more than $1000. "Let me explain the law here. This is the USA, State of NJ. No forced arbitration is ever REQUIRED to make a sale. This clause means your risk assessors think so little of your product that they demand you strip people of their right to sue and not only that, you're doing it post terms of agreement...we had an agreement, you're trying to change the terms", so you go back and tell him to drop the price by $1,000 in exchange for me signing this page. She came back and they took out the page. Scott had the car prepped and the power cord was missing. He offered to pick me up. Tiffany agreed to call me Tuesday but she forgot. Thursday the guy shows up while I'm in the bathroom because communication was less than it should have been. Nice kid. I hope to meet him again too. Taught him about credit and pensions. Arrived around 1:30 (but the time isn't important to the exact minute). Scott (as I had advised him 3 days earlier) sent someone so he didn't lose out on a sale. Sales can take 6 hours. Scott made eye contact with me. Some time later...I want to say 30 minutes, but I'll believe it was less, another client came in and they called him to the desk and I announced loudly, howcome they are calling him to the desk for her but I'm standing here waiting for a pickup. Scott brought me the keyfobs and the new cord. We open the car...there's the old cord. I left, he called me, he gave me one of the wrong keyfobs. Correct keyfob was low battery (how do you not check that?) The charging station was malfunctioning. 6 hours to pickup a car. Didn't give me touchup paint. I still can't get the GPS working. Email to come get plates sent to junkmail. Never called. More
