Unethical Pricing and Rude Service I had my car towed to the dealership with an issue that actually had a recall notice put out to the dealerships while my car was there. I was quoted a price of over $1000 to fix a part that was $60 - I price shopped and called 3 other Ford dealerships in the area, all quoting me at HALF that price! There exists a book that dictates how much the dealership can charge for a particular service, with some variation for the area, etc. This dealership was trying to price gouge me because my car was not drivable. Additionally, Joyce in particular was VERY confrontational. She claimed my car battery needed to be replaced, but then when I was at the dealership trying to tow my car to a new dealership, she proceeded to jump my car for just long enough and connected the broken cable temporarily so it could be moved to a location where it could be loaded on a tow truck - during this time, she turned off the car and put it in park making it so the tow truck couldn't put my car on the flat bed. Using the emergency break and putting the car in neutral would have been the prudent thing to do considering the tow truck was moving in to position as she got out of the car. The battery is just fine by the way, its been months and I have had no problems. Joyce made every interaction more painful and confrontational than it had to be. I paid the $200 fee to have my car's condition assessed (which is also double what other Ford dealerships in the area charge) and then was out of there as quick as possible. In summary, this dealership tried to charge WELL ABOVE the book value for service, tried to force me to buy a new battery when it was not needed, and withheld a recall notice from me FOR THE EXACT ISSUE I had with my car. This dealership is unethical and one you should avoid at ALL COSTS. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Ford Motor Company and the BBB about this dealership, its actions were absolutely atrocious. More

While I was cheated and fooled around by several dears and wasted time, she made me think different way about dealerships which also can be honest and generous. At that day I purchased the vehicle she was off by emergency, but she prepared for me at ahead. She is an efficient helper, treats me with much attention, and make me feel valued and respective. I would appreciate her again and would recommend others to call her if they need Ford cars. More
I left angry with 20 thousand, showed 1 car in 6 hours On Friday, November 25, 2016, I went to DARCARS Ford with a certificate and a preapproved check for $18,000.00 from my credit union and had a $6,200 d On Friday, November 25, 2016, I went to DARCARS Ford with a certificate and a preapproved check for $18,000.00 from my credit union and had a $6,200 down payment from my insurance company from my previously totaled Nissan Xterra. I told the sales person that I had 4 days to find a vehicle so that I could return the rental I was driving. I wanted a Jeep compass that I found on the web through the credit union car buying program. When I got to DARCARS Ford in Lanham, I was told that they didn’t have the red vehicle that I chose but that they did have it in black. I asked to see the black model however, the sales person showed me a tan fully loaded Jeep compass for $27,000.00, yet never showed me the black Jeep similar to Jeep I came to purchase. I told over 5 sales people I didn’t want it and that it was over my budget. About five representatives over a 6 hour time span, tried to talk me into purchasing that vehicle. I left angry and frustrated that for one, they NEVER offered me another vehicle within the price range and two, they ran my credit when I asked them not to because I already had my own financing. The sale person handed me my credit report and said to me, you have better credit than I do. My credit score is 829 and I walked out empty handed with NO vehicle yet they hard thousands of cars on the lot. Two sales people called me back on Saturday November 26, 2016, however I told them I was not interested in purchasing a car from DARCARS Ford in Lanham and to never call me again. Life just isn’t fair but I did find what I wanted somewhere else and would never do business with DARCARS again and I’m tell anybody who would listen, not to do the same. Best regards! More
