We purchased a brand new dump truck from this dealership in November 2024 and the experience of working with them was VERY unprofessional. From the night we bought it with an incompetent salesman doing pap in November 2024 and the experience of working with them was VERY unprofessional. From the night we bought it with an incompetent salesman doing paperwork (never had this issue anywhere else) to this very day where I never received my tags and registration. After taking this vehicle home and my temp tag ran out, they informed me that I owed them another $800 for the tag/registration. I signed a contract for the original amount. IF they messed up the figure that is on them. To hold my tag, which I KNOW (I had a state investigator check into my tag which he told me was at their dealership) they have is ILLEGAL. We had made several phone calls back and forth with them regarding this issue over the past 2 months. After we were at a standstill on the $800 they insisted I owed, then they either never returned a call or hung up on me. They knew my caller ID and wouldn't answer. I had to use other phone numbers to even get them to talk to me. BUYER BEWARE. BIG SCAM. More
I came in two weeks ago for an oil change. I was quoted for that. A while later it was found that my fluids and axels needed to be replaced. I was quoted $1338.98 and within 10min the quote ch I was quoted for that. A while later it was found that my fluids and axels needed to be replaced. I was quoted $1338.98 and within 10min the quote changed to $2018.38 with the same description of charges but the axce replacements went from $999.80 to $1678.20. After already being here for about 3 hours I was told that the axles had to be ordered, and if I wanted them overnighted it would be an upcharge of $70. I opted to come back. Looking at the paper work that I recieved I’m not even sure where these quotes came from. I should have only been paying $1088 axels included. Here I am back two weeks later to have the axels replaced. I have been here since 7:54am and it is now 1:30pm with an 8am appointment. People came in after me and left before me. At this second visit I should have only been paying for labor. On 12/11 I was told that I would be looking at $685 and I was told that I could get a discount for my inconvenience. I do have this price on audio. I don’t appreciate being over charged or told my car is almost ready and still having to wait more than an hour after. I still have screenshots of the ridiculous quote changes from my first visit. I will not be back. We will see what my actual bill looks like hopefully soon. Here is an update. I had to pay $862.56 for labor only to have the axles fixed. If this isn’t highway robbery I don’t know what is. Not only was it a inconvenience to have to come back but to have to pay that much for a job that shouldn’t have even taken that long is truly ridiculous. This place is taking advantage of people in the worst way. More
I can honestly say that I am truly upset with this dealership from the general manager to the service manager etc. I have an issue with warranty and reimbursement since October of this year, and now i dealership from the general manager to the service manager etc. I have an issue with warranty and reimbursement since October of this year, and now it is Dec., and they have yet to resolve this situation. They are dishonest and untrustworthy; they are without integrity. I recommend boycotting this dealership forever. More

I went recently to look at available cars. The first person that came up to me was Jyselle and I'm so glad she did! She was a delight and very helpful. She was more honest than I was expecting The first person that came up to me was Jyselle and I'm so glad she did! She was a delight and very helpful. She was more honest than I was expecting which made me trust her more. I wasn't expecting to leave with a car, but she made it happen!! Safe to say, if I need another car, I'd reach out to her first. Aside from her, her manager and the man who I worked with in financing were also friendly and helpful throughout the process. More
Nobody answers the phone and if they do nobody picks up the extension, such as finance. Called 3 times this morning and someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up. Bought a new 2018 F150 Platinu the extension, such as finance. Called 3 times this morning and someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up. Bought a new 2018 F150 Platinum and Darcars still has not entered the extended warranty information into the system. Truck is in for repairs at a different dealership and I'm having to pay for the repair because Darcars cannot do their job. The worse dealership from day one. More
Brought my car in for update and they messed my engine up. My truck broken down 15 minutes after leaving the shop and I had to towed it back. They now had my truck for 3 months and no work or explanations up. My truck broken down 15 minutes after leaving the shop and I had to towed it back. They now had my truck for 3 months and no work or explanations for it. What make it so bad I have an extended warranty to cover it and they are just ignoring me. Hoping I take it else where the dealership is no good! My worst decision was taking it to DARCARS in Lanham. Service is terrible and now I have to take them to court. Don’t do any business with them, if U want to be happy with service! More
BUYER BEWARE: This dealership's charge for labor is $299/hour, which they told me is "standard for this area." It is NOT. It is roughly 50 percent higher than their competitors. As of 6/26/2023, Lindsa $299/hour, which they told me is "standard for this area." It is NOT. It is roughly 50 percent higher than their competitors. As of 6/26/2023, Lindsay Ford of Wheaton charges $175/hour; Koons Ford of Falls Church charges $165/hour; Ted Britt Ford of Chantilly charges $175/hour; Sheehy Ford-Lincoln of Gaithersburg charges $185/hour, as does Annapolis Ford. Took my car in on a warranty extension involving the transmission control module. They found nothing wrong and charged me $300 for the pleasure. They did wash the car, though, so I guess you could say they took me to the cleaners. More
Part 1:Took my vehicle to DARCARS Ford Lanham 1/24/2023 because the engine light came on and my vehicle was shaking while idling and in drive. I was told codes P0354, P0430 and P1048 registered when teste because the engine light came on and my vehicle was shaking while idling and in drive. I was told codes P0354, P0430 and P1048 registered when tested for cylinder four. As a result, I was told the coil pack caused the issue, so it was replaced. I picked up my vehicle on 2/4/2023 feeling confident my issue was resolved. Approximately one month later, the engine light came on again, my vehicle was having the same issues, shaking while idling or in drive. I took the vehicle back to DARCARS Ford Lanham on March 28, 2023. I was told I would have to pay another diagnostic fee in the amount of $299.00. I was confused because I just paid a diagnostic fee in February. The service representative said it was standard. My question to her was if I am returning the vehicle for the same issue, shouldn’t it be covered under Fords service warranty? She said she would look into it, I also requested a copy of the parts and labor warranty. Several days later, I received a call from the service representative. She informed me the PCM is causing the issue and the estimated cost was $1,750.00. Again, I asked shouldn’t the repair be covered under Fords parts and labor warranty. It appeared to me the issue was not correctly diagnosed in January/February 2023. I was told because a new code came up, I would have to pay more, even though the issue still with cylinder four. The service representative said they can replace the PCM and should receive one in a couple days. Well, a couple days went by, then more days, then I was told there are non available. I feel lead on, it would have been easier to tell me early on that one could not be found. I understand supply chain issues, but again, I felt lead on. Communication was very laxed. Nearly five weeks later, I was finally told they are unable to locate a PCM, but on April 20, 2023 DARCARDS Ford Lanham gave me the option of locating one in the open market, as they felt they exhausted their efforts. I was informed that I needed the engineering # to ensure I purchase a PCM that worked with my vehicle. The services representative advised me to contact Auto ECMS, and provided what she assumed was the correct PCM engineering #. I called Auto ECMS, gave them the # engineering # provided to me, Auto ECMS said # was incorrect. I shared that information with the service representative. I was given two other PCM engineering #s by April 24, 2023. According to Auto ECMS, neither were correct. Auto ECMS said please ask DARCARS Ford Lanham to get the engineering # directly from the PCM. In order to do that, the PCM had to be removed from the vehicle. In the meantime, my frustration is growing because now I am doing research to ascertain a solution to get my vehicle running. I am taking time from my place of employment, and also rent vehicles. I found a repair shop located in Greenville North Carolina called Circuit Board Medics, they repair damaged PCMs. Before engaging with Circuit Board Medics, I spoke with the services representative to share my findings. She did not advise me not to send the PCM to Circuit Board Medics. I informed her I will need the PCM. Since they needed to remove the PCM to obtain the correct engineering #, I assumed it was a good opportunity to pick it up from DARCARS Ford and ship it to Circuit Board Medics, which is what occurred. Circuit Board Medics said they could not find an issue with the PCM, I shared with them the codes provided to me by the service representative. I shared their findings with the services representative. The service manager said that Circuit Board Medics performed an isolated test, meaning they may not find an issue because the PCM would need to be installed in the vehicle for load testing. Had I known that in advance, I would not have spent money shipping the device and paying for testing. More
