This is very difficult to write because we have had a 20 year loyal relationship with Covert Ford but this is important for the Covert family to understand. We have purchased many vehicles from the Covert year loyal relationship with Covert Ford but this is important for the Covert family to understand. We have purchased many vehicles from the Covert brand, even going way out of our way to purchase from Covert instead of a more convenient dealer. In fact 8 of the last 10 vehicles we have, were purchased from Covert Austin or Covert Bastrop. The last 3 were cash purchases in Austin within a 6 week period in which we had a great experience on the sales side with Brooke L. and her team so we have no issues there. All of our issues are with the extremely frustrating experiences from the service side as described below: - The Research Blvd location's volume appears to be too high for them to deliver a quality experience, or even tolerable expereince. - The repair needs of one of our brand new vehicles (Lincoln Cousrair) was clearly communicated when we dropped it off. - Over a course of 3 weeks, the repair team was disorganized and extremely inefficient with the repair, delaying the work twice past the promised delivery date and even replacing the wrong part while they "mostly" fixed the other. - Since Lincoln cannot keep its advertised promise to have loaners (one of the reasons we chose Lincoln) we had an enormous challenge operating with one vehicle for 3 weeks. - While the service provider was cordial to my face, it seemed as if he was full of empty words and mistruths and a less than genuine attitude. - The Service Manager blamed his lack of replies on not getting my multiple messages becasue of the "poor Covert phone system" and had multiple excuses voicemail after voicemail. We finally got the car back 2 weeks after we should have and with a mild apology for the long delay. With the car back, we discovered the driver's seat was not even properly secured, leaving it loose and wobbly when driving. So much so that we are taking it to another dealership to correct Covert's lack of attention to repair. This sad example of customer service and quality of work has left me with such a poor feeling that I could not nor would not ever recommend this dealership for service. More

The mileage was wrong. My car current mileage is around 43,xxx, but the service set it as 38,026, so as the mileage for the next service was wrong. Still waiting on response from transmission issues from last time when guys were backed up or short handed (Fred Price SM). Still waiting on repair issues from pandemic times, never got resolved and at 80k miles (once they said your out of warranty) I have extended warranty (100k) but this was before warranty went out and the revolving door of service managers, service advisors and of course no help drop Kenny Covert (has never responded to all my messages or emails). Kept my truck once for 6+ weeks didn’t resolve much, most of the time it was parked in a lot off Riata Trace Parkway (have tracker on Ford app) when I asked no one would answer, asked Wendell about it and he just shook his head & said they are working on it. I had a very poor overall experience, our service advisor did a terrible job communicating the situation and was completely unprofessional. I have bought 2 vehicles from there, including the truck I took in did a terrible job communicating the situation and was completely unprofessional. I have bought 2 vehicles from there, including the truck I took in for service which was under warranty and this was by far the worst service experience I have ever had in my 30+ years owning vehicles. I will never give this dealership any future business on any level. More
