The utter lack of communication and disrespect I received from this dealership is actually disgusting. Every update I received regarding getting my car diagnosed, I had to seek out myself instead of being in from this dealership is actually disgusting. This is despite it taking not one, not two, but over two weeks to be diagnosed. To get any update at all, I had to call multiple times even to get connected to a service representative. Then when I received my diagnosis, I was given one option that “might” work and the insensitive question of “how attached I was to this vehicle?” After debating my only provided option outside of buying a new vehicle, although mine is just over 8 years old, I, again had to call back multiple times to connect with someone to discuss other options. Every service representative I spoke to gave me different options for different prices, making it very frustrating that not only could nobody give me a straight answer on A) what was wrong with the car and B) how it needed to be fixed, but not a single service consultant nor the service manager could provide valuable consult to me on what my next best steps were. When I finally contacted my service consultant to discuss this, the conversation was ANYTHING but helpful. His demeanor was extremely patronizing, starting with the statement, “Do I need to speak to you or should I call your dad?” This conversation provided no further insight or opinion but he once again suggested I think about moving away from a service option toward investing in a new car. Throughout the call, every time I tried to speak to voice my frustrations on the lack of communication or sensitivity to the fact that I needed to make a hasty decision to stop paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for a rental car, the service consultant talked over me to the point that I had to ask him if I could finish speaking. Never in my life have I experienced such disrespect and sexist, condescending behavior. After this, I had no more contact with Covert Ford. All future communication was handled by my father, who does not own the vehicle but was the only one who could seem to get a straight answer. After he authorized the initial “possible” fix service for over $2400, they informed him that the car would go forward but not reverse. A few days later, they told him that they lost the key to my car. At this point, we decided to drive over 6 hours to retrieve the car from Covert Ford and tow it to another service provider across State Lines. When picking up the vehicle, I can say that nothing had changed. We were still met with an unprofessional tone and attitude that anyone should be disgusted to use when speaking to another human being. Our service provider continued to be a patronizing xxxxx and insisted that our quoted price was incorrect and there would be an additional tax and "shop supplies" fee, despite our quote including labor, parts, tax, etc. After all that time and money spent, my car barely crawled forward when I got it back, essentially in the same sorry state as when I first brought it in. It's disheartening to see such little progress made despite the lengthy service period of over a month. I am overjoyed to be wiping my hands of the disgusting display of customer service and business at Covert Ford and moving to another servicer. You all should be ashamed of how you have conducted yourselves and how you have let your employees conduct themselves. My previous admiration of Ford is forever tarnished. Despite coming from a Ford Family, I can confidently say I will never purchase another Ford vehicle in my lifetime nor will I encourage anyone else to either. You've truly outdone yourselves in the art of being utterly useless and incompetent. More

We recently sold a car to Covert Ford Austin and our salesman was Ricardo Costa. Ricardo was excellent at offering us a very fair price for the car and handled all aspects of the sale professionally an salesman was Ricardo Costa. Not happy AT ALL with this dealership. . we live 2 hours away and made the drive because it seemed like a great deal, we were WAY wrong!! Picked our truck up on 6/22/2024. On 6/26/2024 I took it to the Chevy dealership in Floresville and was told something is wrong with the transmission. My husband spoke with the manager Corey at Covert and was told nothing was wrong when they sold it to us and we have a warranty, which is NOT the point! Basically being told that in a matter of 3 days the truck just so happened to develop an issue and that we pretty much just have to deal with it. Fast forward to today, I had to call 4 times and still didn’t get any kind of resolution other than the best they could do is give me a rental for a week or two while it’s at a different dealership getting a second opinion. So on top of not being able to enjoy this truck we were so excited to get, I have to constantly clock out during work to make these ridiculous phone calls not including the time I will have to spend away from work going to a different dealership!! We are extremely disappointed in how our situation is being handled and the lack of compassion & customer service is appalling!! You would think they would want to do more especially since they were informed on day 3 of the situation at hand. More
My 2014 Escape had a low coolant light coming on intermittently for a few months and we were having to add coolant every month or so. We took it to a local auto shop who put it under pressure but co intermittently for a few months and we were having to add coolant every month or so. We took it to a local auto shop who put it under pressure but couldn’t determine what was wrong. Took it to Covert because we figured Ford might know what was going on. I made it clear that this was a persistent issue and that we had no coolant leaking visibly on our driveway, it just seemed to be disappearing. They said they found a leak in the heater hoses and replaced another component, and did a front brake job. Paid $1855 for all that work, 2 weeks later, low coolant light is back on, so I take it back and they tell me it was just a bubble in the line, topped off the coolant. 2 weeks later low coolant light back on so I take it back. Now they find that the coolant hoses are bad and need to be replaced -$750. I go to pick up and ask to speak with a manager, Jerry, to see about getting some help on the cost because I’m not sure the first work they did was even necessary. Then they tell me that coolant leaks in 2014 Escapes is a KNOWN ISSUE and that I’m probably going to end up with a blown head gasket and should just trade the car in before that happens. They said they would offer a fair trade in and get me a great deal on a new car. They offered $3,000 (lol) so basically I would be giving them my car considering the several thousands I’ve just shelled out for service that never should have been done in the first place. While I’m deciding what to do I also mention that the airbag light had come on the last time they had it. He says they’ll take care of the light and offer me a discount for the coolant hoses down to $530. Over to the sales department we go to see what kind of deal we can get on a new car. Sales guy Aaron shows us some new cars and we decide on one, haggle down to what we think is a fair deal, he goes to get the car to detail and we start the finance process. Then he comes back, says so sorry, but that deal is on this cheaper other car that we made clear we weren’t interested in. He says he’ll make it right and comes back with an offer $2,000 over what we had agreed on. We got up and walked away. Oh, and while scrolling through the used car inventory on his computer we came across literally the same car I have, for sale for $11,000+ so I’m thinking I just paid for all the work they would need done to turn around and resell it. I think they just really wanted my car to resell. So I go to get my car out of hock and they tried to charge me $100 to fix the airbag issue they caused. So now I’m out $2400 and driving around a car that’s probably going to leave me stranded on the side of the road with a blown head gasket at any given moment. We will never ever go back to Covert and will tell anyone who will listen to avoid them as well. The most dishonest and unethical dealership/service around. Avoid at all costs, go to Leif Johnson. I was able to work with Ricardo the day after Thanksgiving and he was awesome! I live in DFW and was able to work out a great day all over the phone in the same day. The finance manager I got was Thanksgiving and he was awesome! I live in DFW and was able to work out a great day all over the phone in the same day. The finance manager I got was amazing as well. He worked some magic and got me warranties with black friday deals that basically did not even increase my payments. All in all this whole experience was insanely smooth. Highly recommend these guys. We ordered and bought a brand new car and it has been in their shop more than we've had it at our house. Then when we are told it's ready for pickup the car has more problems with it then when we dropped it their shop more than we've had it at our house. We have talked to several managers and they never call you back or tray to take care of the problem. They are rude and keep passing you off to someone else and then that's the cycle of the covert Ford service. We are promised many things and then they turn around and say they never said that! We are still trying to get our car fixed so we can get it back. We have not had our car very long. But it's been in their shop for almost 2 months this go round. It's so unfortunate that the quality of service is so bad. When you call to get updates the customer service is very rude as well. We have ashed to speak with a higher up to get this taken care of and that's when you never get phone calls returned. More
