Hey this is probably the worst Toyota in the state! Extremely rude and absolutely zero customer service. If I could put 0 stars I would. I will do my best to never take my car here again. I put my 2002 4Runner into a ditch at 10 mph during the first snowstorm of the season. I broke an alloy wheel but didn't ruin the tire. After replacing the wheel, the truck was useable but the alignment first snowstorm of the season. I broke an alloy wheel but didn't ruin the tire. After replacing the wheel, the truck was useable but the alignment was clearly messed up; it pulled to the left and the tires rubbed badly on a right turn. I figured it needed an alignment, though there was a possibility that some front-end components might need replacing. Four weeks and $7200.00 later, I picked up my truck. I could have spent $10k if I did all the service they recommended. I live up in Boulder Heights and have no other transportation; I was completely stranded, only going to town on a $50 Uber ride for medical appointments. After the third week, I demanded a rental car-- which I got, though the cost was rolled into the overall bill. Why did this cost so much? The dealer's philosophy is to replace everything that is the slightest bit questionable. On a 2002 4Runner, just about everything is questionable. They claimed my aftermarket front struts were leaking fluid (on both sides?!?) but never provided evidence of it. To replace them, they signed me up for a $2000 set of ICON struts-- my original Sway-Aways cost < $500. They also replaced the upper control arms, tie rod and other components I can't remember. Why did it take so long? Well, it took nearly a week to get the ICON kit from back east. Then, their suspension guy (apparently they only have one) seemed to be taking every Thursday off, limiting continuity and time on task. For a dealership their size, you would think they would be better staffed. It took about 3 weeks for them to get to the point when they realized the parts didn't fit. Apparently, one of the mounting points where the suspension attached to the frame was tweaked about 1/2" out of spec by the impact. Why didn't they notice this earlier? What's more, Corwin doesn't deal with frame issues-- that is a body shop problem, requiring the vehicle to be sent to another company to get "un-tweaked". This adds yet another week to the repair process. The end result? Well, they returned the vehicle in better condition than before the accident. I would expect nothing less for the price. I haven't had it out on a rough 4WD trail yet but if it survives a few outings, I will consider the repairs an (expensive) success. Given the resale price of a 2002 4Runner with 80k miles is pushing $25k, it was worth spending some money to get it repaired. However, if I had any idea that it would be that expensive, I would have made an insurance claim. More
Alfred Rodrihuez got it done with great professionalism. He worked hard to meet my wish of a brief but effective sales experience. Very well done. He worked hard to meet my wish of a brief but effective sales experience. Very well done. More
Took hours to do a cash purchase. Vehicle wasn’t even washed. Didn’t take time to go over the trucks features. I was given a quote of $7000 worth of work that needed to be done in my car. That seemed extremely unlikely given the car had been driving fine. I went to a different Toyota dealership in Denver and the car be done in my car. That seemed extremely unlikely given the car had been driving fine.
