I usually leave car dealerships feeling like I've been had, but I did not feel that here. The workers are genuinely friendly and eager to please. This was our second time purchasing/leasing a car with Ditschman/Flemington, and I know we will be back. We went to a closer Ford dealer just to test drive the Edge, and it only confirmed our belief that Ditschman/Flemington is a different kind of dealership. More
Disappointing service experience Given the very positive buying experience I had with this dealership, I expected the same level of service from the Service Department when it came ti Given the very positive buying experience I had with this dealership, I expected the same level of service from the Service Department when it came time to have my vehicle maintained and serviced. I was left, however, quite disappointed with the service department at Ditschman/Flemington Ford and do not recommend this dealership’s service department for anything beyond basic maintenance, such as oil change or tire rotation. When it came time to address specific issues relating to my vehicle, this service department was incredibly incompetent in diagnosing and repairing my vehicle. An issue that plagued my vehicle since I took delivery of it was that the fuel tank was not filling up to its advertised capacity of 16.5 gallons. I brought the vehicle in for service for this issue after putting about 450 miles on it, and was told by the service department that this was normal operation after they spoke with the Ford service hotline. After doing a lot of research online and noticing that many others were having the same problem as me, I concluded that there was definitely an issue with my vehicle’s fuel tank (Ford would eventually issue a Tecnhical Service Bulletin (TSB), #13-06-01, concerning this issue a few months later). Determined to have this issue addressed, I emailed Bob Hoffman, the Service Manager, and gave him a detailed account of the problem and a request for help with this issue. I never received a reply from Mr. Hoffman, which made me lose faith in the quality of service I was going to receive from this service department. In fact, I sent Mr. Hoffman three emails regarding this issue in the span of four months and I never once received a reply. In one of the emails, I even provided direct links to the TSBs for the problem I was having, and I still never heard from him. This was not a good first impression from their service department, and I expected much better help coming from the head of the department. Unfortunately, my vehicle had several problems that I needed to be fixed, including frustrating creaks and rattles emanating from various parts of the interior, an ambient interior lighting issue, and a malfunctioning front speaker. The service department honestly did next to nothing to help diagnose or repair these issues. During one visit to the Service Department, I was explaining how the ambient interior lighting was not working under the front console portion of the interior, in the cubby underneath the MyFord Touch console. The service person I was working with said that there was no lighting there to begin with, and I replied saying that in the brochure and literature regarding my Fusion Titanium it said that interior ambient lighting was included under the front console. The service advisor laughed in my face and said, “Well, I guess they got rid of the lighting there at the last second.” I was certainly discouraged and annoyed by the lack of concern this employee expressed and the lack of any desire to verify his claim. Fast forward a year and a half later - one night, I started my vehicle and for the first time ever, the lighting under the front console illuminated the space underneath the MyFord Touch console. I could not believe what I was seeing. I had not had the car in for service recently, and definitely did not change any settings to make this happen. The lighting just decided to work. This confirmed to me that the service person had no idea what he was talking about regarding the lighting features of the vehicle, and was not knowledgeable about the vehicle he was servicing. One of the rattles in the interior was identified as coming from the overhead console/sunglasses storage unit. After the second repair attempt, I got into my car to see that half of the overhead console was not inserted into the headliner - the tabs were not inserted and the console was clearly not flush with the headliner. This showed me the lack of care and lack of attention to detail that the service department showed towards my vehicle. To make matters even more frustrating, the console was still rattling. I took my vehicle in again to remedy this issue, and my service advisor, Tom Bisbing, said they would replace the entire overhead enclosure. Now, since I took delivery of the vehicle, I had noticed a small, .75 inch long blemish on the sunglasses holder door. This blemish did not bother me, as I know these parts are just plastic and can get scuffed. What bothered me more was upon taking my car back after Tom told me that the console was replaced, the same exact scuff mark was on the console door. This leads me to believe that the console was not replaced, and I was lied to about the service I was allegedly receiving. One of the speakers in my vehicle made a very distorted buzzing sound when playing music or listening to talk radio. Tom Bisbing said that they could not hear the sound I was describing when I took it in for service of this issue. I then asked for someone to come out to the car with me so that I could identify the distorted sound. Another service representative, Duncan (who unfortunately does not work there anymore according to the dealership’s website), came out to my car where he was able to clearly hear the distorted sound I had been describing. Duncan was very helpful and thorough in attempting to diagnose the issue. Back inside the dealership, Tom told me that they could order a new speaker and install it. A week or so later, I brought the vehicle in to get the new speaker installed. After getting serviced, I repeated what I did for Duncan to demonstrate the distortion I was hearing, and the distortion was still present. This showed me the lack of diagnostic and technical prowess the service department possesses. Overall, I was extremely displeased by the lack of adequate service I received for my new vehicle at this dealership, and I heavily caution anyone from using this dealership as a place to service their Ford vehicle. More

This by far was the smoothest car purchase transaction that I have ever completed. Mark Schmaling was highly professional and got the job done. Financing was a snap. Regular Service - Ford F150 I needed to have my F150 serviced. I normally deal with Todd Bety, but he was booked. I had my oil changed, tires rotated and the normal vehicle inspection that your dealership does. As I usually wait, I sat in the showroom and read. I have been dealing with Ditschman Flemington Ford for over 30 years and I have always been satisfied with the service, the staff and the overall feeling of friendliness. Keep up the good work. More

If you are in the market for a Ford, call Kevin Lawlor...purchased a 2015 Mustang and he was a wonderfully nice sales consultant. No worries about getting ripped off here...it won't happen.
