My decision was quick, and then getting my car only took 3 days, and it was several states away! I chose to pick it up, and everyone at the Austin dealership was polite, helpful and efficient! I traded in my old vehicle, picked up my new-to-me one and I was out the door in 15 minutes. Seriously, this is the only way I want to buy cars from now on. Thank you so much for everything, Carvana! I really wanted to LOVE you guys…. . I did up until delivery. Let’s start at the beginning, hands down you had the largest selection of vehicles to choose from and with me seeking a spe . I did up until delivery. Let’s start at the beginning, hands down you had the largest selection of vehicles to choose from and with me seeking a specific car this was a bonus. I reserved a car that wasn’t available for purchase yet but it was nearly EXACTLY what I wanted, a convertible, yellow, Volkswagen Beetle with lower miles…. About a week goes by and I’m notified the vehicle is now available after being put through the 150 point check and I begin the purchasing process…. This was actually all pretty straight forward, handled a lot smoother than anticipated and EVERY employee I spoke with from phone calls verifying funds and other info to random questions via chat were so genuinely invested, kind and nice… I have nothing but amazing things about each and every person leading up to delivery…. I’ll try to keep this brief because I could write a 5 page essay and how poorly everything went…… 3 hours before delivery I get a call saying it’s not happening today, the vehicle didn’t pass it’s smog test because the cars computer had to be reset, the battery must have died… in my mind I’m thinking when did it die if it had a 150 point check and why is this being dealt with hours before delivery?? They reschedule from Friday to Tuesday. Still questioning things I reached out via chat to two different employees who gave me two different responses, from transport issues, to registration paperwork problems neither mentioned failed smog test/drive cycle like the first employee…. Tuesday arrives and an hour before delivery I get a call saying a tire sensor went off but he’s at the mechanic dealing with it, we’ll just be late…. To the next call 30 min later it’s not going to happen tonight….. At this point it feels as if the car is a piece of xxxx, I’ve taken time from my day to wait, Im putting $20,000 cash and financing $12,000, this isn’t a small purchase and it’s being treated as if it’s not a big deal and the go to response from every employee is you can cancel… That doesn’t sound so much as a bonus as it does a “I don’t care”… Carvana has a lot and I mean a lot of negative feedback, comments, while sites dedicated to how terrible the delivery is and all the excuses used… One of the employees even said, “ only people with bad experiences leave reviews…” That’s not true and maybe it’s because you only provide bad experiences… I wasn’t even mad about the delay so much as I was nervous to trust your brand to be honest and deliver a reliable car. I shouldn’t have to demand the car brought to me the next day not 4 more days out…. Nevertheless the next day on you guys returned to being a great company…. I LOVE my car, the delivery person was amazing, the red bow was a nice touch and it felt the way purchasing a new car should feel like…. A week after delivery, I still LOVE my car, any promises made have been followed through, scheduling the license plate install and the minor cosmetic damage repair…. According to reviews you guys fail with registrations a lot, delay, forgotten….. I hope That’s not the case with me, please!!! So to date I would recommend you to a friend, I would make it clear to not rely the car will show up when stated, the first time or 3rd time, so if they can wait, use Carvana. Hopefully whatever the disconnect is between purchasing and delivery is something that can be corrected because you turn a happy moment into an angry moment with all these random delays…. More
I found what appeared to be a beautiful 2018 SLC300 with Carvana. It was easy as they said to order a car online and it was neat to see it delivered on their special flatbed at my house. Just because Carfax and AutoCheck say no reported accidents, and Carvana says it’s had a 150 point thorough inspection…does not mean repairs made were done WELL. This car’s pictures looked great, but once it was here, I could see the bumper wasn’t the same diamond white metallic as the car, there was overspray on all the black fittings,, the passenger door jam, fuel filler door, window moulding, and if that wasn’t bad enough (it was), there is a gap between the tail light and body on the right rear qtr panel. They disclosed the rear bumper had been repaired, but…. Such horrible work - it was completely obvious in person. My local certified Mercedes body shop reported it would cost at LEAST 6700 to correct.. and that’s if they didn’t find worse underneath the panels/bumper. They’d seen this from other customers’ experience with Carvana (and other dealerships). They advised me to send it back if I could. I’m still within the 7 day trial, so it’s going back. Sadly. More
1. I found and ordered a car. This maybe 20 minutes total. I purchased the car on April 18th and it was scheduled for delivery on the 24th. On April 20th, I receive a text and email that my vehicle would be delayed until May 1st. I called and asked the reason for the delay and was told the car needed a new battery. How this is possible isn't any clearer than why this would add a week long delay. They list checking the battery in their 150 point inspection. I was offered 300.00 for the delay that would be sent out after the 7 day trial period. On April 28th, I received a text and email that my vehicle had been rescheduled until June 5th. I called and was told this was due to the car needing an alternator. The advocate couldn’t explain why this wasn’t found in the 150 point inspection or when they tested the battery. Eventually I was offered 1000.00 for the delay and a case manager in the Executive Resolution Team was assigned to assist me with getting my car. Candice told me she would look into it and would call me back with an update on Saturday the 29th. On the 29th, I called and spoke to Candice and she had no further updates from the inspection team. While waiting to speak to her I had found an alternative on their site and asked her if I could swap and get this car in a reasonable time. Candice assisted and I swapped cars and was scheduled for a delivery on May 10th. On May 5th, I’m contacted and told this vehicle was delayed and would be delivered on May 12th. I called and asked why the vehicle was delayed. I was told that there was a logistical error and the truck delivering my car from their inspection to the hub had broken down. I explained that I could not take delivery on the 12th, and was told that the next delivery date wasn’t until the 18th. At this point, I was finally able to speak to a supervisor. We had a discussion about the matter and when I finally told her I was going to end the call and they could call me when they figure it out and in the meantime, I would be shopping elsewhere for a car. Kim then tells me she will contact the hub closest to my home and see if they could make alternative delivery arrangements. The hub makes arrangements. On May 9th, at approximately 9:40 pm I receive an email stating that my car is delayed until May 15th. I call and am told it’s due to a tire issue. This might be the most ridiculous buying experience I’ve ever had. More
This was my second experience with Carvana. First time was fantastic. 2nd time has just been riddled with lies and poor work ethic. This is in NO WAY an issue with the staff. They're just following instructions. 150 point inspection is complete xxxxxxxxx!!! First car the check engine light came on the day of delivery. they notified me 3 hours beforehand that they weren't coming. (missed that in the 150 point inspection) Car came a week later. After 6 days the check engine light (which they said they fixed) came on. Sent this car back and got another one. More issues. This time with the sunroof. So far all the repair facilities they're sending me to (on my time) have said they can't fix it. Oh almost forgot to mention. They took my old car a month ago and i'm getting late notices for that car from the loan company because they haven't reached out and paid off the loan. What a joke this company is. I will NOT recommend them again and i will NOT use them again. GET YOUR xxxx TOGETHER!!!!!!! Try to give a xxxx about ethics and customer service. More
