Excellent experience at Burien Toyota. Showroom was clean, everyone was friendly. I had called ahead to make and appointment to test drive a 4Runner. Burien did not have the 4Runner trim level in stock that I wanted either. The sales person, Kamren, set up a test drive in a similar vehicle knowing It was not what I wanted to buy. He had researched the vehicles and let me know that the suspension and operation of test truck was mostly the same as the unit I was interested in ordering, and asked if that would be useful to me as a test drive. The entire process was him getting me into something to test out, knowing I wasn't really interested in buying it from him. At no point was anyone trying to 'sell' me anything. The entire staff was truly focused on making sure I had the facts and had my questions answered. The vehicle ended up being fine for my application, so I decided to buy it. At no point was there a hard sell, a close or any of the traditional stuff you associate with car dealerships. The price was straight forward, the financing was directly through my credit union, and they handled that in literally minutes. I "decided" to purchase it - at no point was I asked if I wanted to purchase it. No 'for you, special discount' mumbo jumbo. Just facts. It was my call, and I never felt like it wasn't. The reason I bought it was mostly how i was taken care of by the staff. yeah, I can wait for the one I really really want. i could have ordered one in any color I wanted. I could have shopped around and found one or two at some dealership far off. But after my earlier experience of walking out of a different Toyota dealership, this truck was going to suit me just fine. Mostly because it meant I wouldn't ever have to deal with the more traditional 'hard sales' car lots after being here. Without question, Kamren and the team at Burien Toyota earned this sale by being honest, straight forward and not giving me the hard sell nonsense that nobody likes. I'd rather buy a 4Runner that is mostly what I want from an honest staff than order exactly what I want from a hard press sales floor. In the end, honestly, the truck I drove home is fantastic. I actually like it more than the 'one' I had picked out on the web after seeing mine next to the other model in a Home Depot parking lot. That feeling is partially because the entire process was enjoyable, not miserable. I can be very flexible on hardware. I have no flexibility when it comes to people wasting my time, hard selling me or disrespecting my decision making process. Would highly recommend Burien Toyota and Kamren as well. More
