Car came my for service and left with a check engine light A quick oil change resulted to what Bryan employees claim a “coincidental” new issue with my engine. After paying I turned on my car and noticed a che A quick oil change resulted to what Bryan employees claim a “coincidental” new issue with my engine. After paying I turned on my car and noticed a check engine light. I notified the employee I was working with and he and a mechanic checked what the issue was and it was a timing belt. They are claiming that they did not and could not cause this issue. While it may be true, it is hard to believe it. On a separate occasion, I brought my Honda Oddyssey for an oil change and afterwards left. A few days later I caught my car not starting. After bringing it back, they ran diagnostics and I was told they couldn’t find an issue. After asking the way ahead, the employee said, he’d recommend getting a new car! Excuse me?! I had just got the 2014 odyssey. I brought it elsewhere and the mechanic quickly noticed that the battery terminals were loose and this fixed the problem. Previous to this occasions, my wife and I were approached - not even two minutes into the service department- by employees asking us to upgrade our odyssey. Bottom line, to me, this oil change/engine light issue seems like a way for Bryan to get what they want from us...pay for what can possibly cost $2000 or just get another’s car. I’m being told it’s a coinsidental issue that just happened to occur during my car’s service, but put yourself in my shoes and take the past into consideration. Should I even think it’s a coincidence? I think not. Disappointed and disgusted with the service of Bryan Honda. More
