Better than expected / pleasantly surprised A vehicle purchase had been in the cards for some time, given the age and condition of my current vehicles, and it was an experience and process that A vehicle purchase had been in the cards for some time, given the age and condition of my current vehicles, and it was an experience and process that I very much wasn't looking forward to. Not only did I have the typical disdain for the whole dealership/car salesman thing, but frankly, I'd read some mixed reviews about this particular dealership with regard to some of its employees and how customers felt about them after their visits. That said, they were the only location I could find within a reasonable distance from home that had a vehicle in current inventory that met most of my requirements, so I figured I'd just suck it up and go in for a visit. Long story short, I was very pleasantly surprised at how well it went. Bobby Giles was the sales associate that worked with me, and while he did go through some of the stereotypical motions of the process (the presentation of a first offer that contained 'extras', the stepping away from the desk to 'see my manager', etc.; I get it, it's part of the job and process involved), he was very receptive and willing to work with me. I'm typically cynical and suspicious of people and their motives, and was doubly so going into this situation, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that I did not get a disingenuous, artificial, or manipulative vibe out of Bobby. The Honda Ridgeline was one of four mid-sized trucks I was considering, and the one I was partial to, but it was also the most expensive of the bunch. As I've got a lot of current and future expenses on the horizon, I was particular sensitive to price. This was a main theme in the discussions, and I'm happy to say that Bobby listened, was sympathetic, and that we were able to come to an agreement on what I believe was a fair price on both ends of the table. They worked on my wife's car claiming that it needed a new starter, new crankshaft position sensor, and a computer PCM PROGRAMMING. Took a running vehicle there. Left with it chugging out so bad it wouldn't restart. They then stated that they would charge me more if it were anything other than the initial problem. THEY FAILED TO PROPERLY DIAGNOSE THE CAR, and had the audacity after us paying $937 to say, “Well if it’s out of gas, that will be on you.” Thats a slap in the face. AVOID THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT ALL COST. Now I am paying another mechanic to fix what they caused damage to. They failed to properly diagnose. Left the car in worse shape than it was and insulted us. Bad, bad, business. All managers have failed to reach back out to us after all attempts. Left my wife with four kids without a car. Drove vehicle home and on the same evening, it started giving Tire pressure warning and had to take it back to the dealer. According to technician pressure in one tire wasn’t proper so he balanced it. Next evening again it stated giving Tire Pressure warning it was Sunday,,, so had to wait till Monday when I called I was told to make appointment for vehicle examine…… anyways Monday evening they asked me to collect my vehicle and there was some calibration issue so it got fixed 2. 1080$ extra just to get parking sensors and just on 3rd day these sensors started giving trouble and kept on beeping if was stopping on traffic light. again had to take the vehicle back and was told they need to re-install these sensors properly. Kept vehicle almost whole day. Next day I had to drive to Dallas, and during entire journey sensors kept on beeping intermittently for no reason and I had to turn those off. I was planned to come Dallas for 2 weeks but later my company asked me to relocate so could never drive my car back. These sensors kept me bothering by intermittent behavior, I called couple of time to one of their manager who asked to bring vehicle back so they can examine… but driving from Dallas to Lafayette isn’t a joke....., anyways finally last, Dec I took vehicle to a local dealer in Dallas who told that sensors have become faulty. He placed order for new sensor kit, when new sensors were being installed they had found that certain essential parts of senor kit were not originally installed that had been the problem. Now this will cost additional 280$. I have been trying to call them but not able to reach to someone who can help. More

Unfriendly to work with and not customer friendly I was hired by a client in the Lafayette, Indiana area to get him a white 2018 Honda Civic Si Sedan for a lease. I called Bob Rohrman Honda and spoke I was hired by a client in the Lafayette, Indiana area to get him a white 2018 Honda Civic Si Sedan for a lease. I called Bob Rohrman Honda and spoke with Neil, one of the Sales Managers there, or at least he said he was, about setting a deal with him so that I could avoid shipping a Civic Si from California at the client's expense. I got Neal to agree on pricing and he just wanted to run it by his General Manager for final approval. I got the call back and was told they were not interested. Fair enough, I move and ask one of my co-workers to help me call other dealerships. My co-worker gets a call back from Luke Rohrman saying they are now in fact interested and he will be expecting my call. I tried reaching out at least 6 times over 2 days and was never able to get in contact with him. I finally left a message with the call attendant and they said they would pass the message. I get a call back from a Restricted number and it is Luke Rohrman. I barely confirm that he is speaking with me when he says they are no longer interested in doing the deal. When I simply asked him for the reason behind them changing their mind for the 3rd time, he promptly hung up. This is absolutely not how you do business. This is why dealerships in the Midwest have the reputation for being rude, disrespectful, and unwilling to work with clients or brokers like myself who are just trying to get a simple deal done. They believe that because they don't have much competition and you have to drive far to see other dealers, they can get away with unsavory business practices. I wouldn't trust this dealership with a car wash, let alone do a fair deal for customers. I will gladly be getting the car now from one of my preferred dealer partners where I will get the client the best pricing on the Civic Si Sedan. Even with the $750 shipping, they will still come out ahead over working with a dealer like Bob Rohrman. Save yourself the time and headache and work with another dealer in the area like Hare Honda or Penske in Indianapolis. More

I told them I would like a nice car and car payment that is not going to lock me in my home and have no social life because I have to watch what I spend because of a big car payment. I told them I would like a steak dinner ever so often. Well, they were excellent with how they handle everything from listening to what I wanted, to the many beautiful options I had in vehicles, to the great deal and trade-in for my vehicle, and the finance of this beautiful car(Which I'm happy that it was way below my budget that I was looking at, to the point I could have 2 steaks and a beautiful glass of wine and the life I can enjoy.) Keyfob battery Recently relocated to Lafayette. Took keyfob in for battery replacement. Had to stand at the service desk for over 10 minutes the lady in next offic Recently relocated to Lafayette. Took keyfob in for battery replacement. Had to stand at the service desk for over 10 minutes the lady in next office (where you pay) was taking selfies on her phone. Then service guy charged me $10.72 for a battery replacement. When I complained and explained Penske in Indianapolis did it for free he said maybe you should take it there and reduced my charge to $5.36. Then selfie lady was on her cell phone discussing an upcoming party and had to wait for her to pay. I think I will drive to Indy and continue to give Penske my business. Mike Jenkins 765.607.3885 More
