Tried Rapp for service as they are closer to where I live. Paid over $100 for a oil change, tire rotation. Surprised service department doesn't perform a mulit-point inspection of items like the battery live. Paid over $100 for a oil change, tire rotation. Surprised service department doesn't perform a mulit-point inspection of items like the battery, fluids, belts, tires, etc. Other dealers, service providers do this as part of most services being performed. Was never offered and didn't know I needed to ask. Helpful to prevent surprise break-downs. Also, like that as a customer you can watch workers. Surprised at how much he seemed to play with his cell phone. Probably will go back to the previous service providers. Oh, and they charge more too. More
On November 1, 2023, I purchased a 2020 Subaru WRX. According to the Carfax report provided to me by the salesperson Ulas, it was a one owner lease, with less than 21,500 miles. On November 3, 2023, le According to the Carfax report provided to me by the salesperson Ulas, it was a one owner lease, with less than 21,500 miles. On November 3, 2023, less than 3 days after I picked the car up, the check engine light illuminated steady, the cruise control shut down, and the cruise control light began blinking. This occurred while driving to my personal mechanics' shop of over 30 years to have safe, quality tires installed as opposed to the worn, low-quality tires that came with the vehicle. By this point I only had the car for less than a full five-day work week and drove less than 52 miles. The greatest majority of one-way driving, about 42 miles was from the dealership back home, and then again a round trip from the dealership back home after the diagnosis test. I arrived at the mechanic's shop and the car was immediately hooked to the diagnostic computer and codes 420, Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Below Bank 1 and 314a1 Sunload Sensor Efficiency Below. Basically, as explained by the mechanic, it was the catalytic converter $$$ and electrical issues $$$. I immediately texted a picture of the reading to the salesperson, Ulas Uysal that worked with me, and we had a phone conversation were minutes after he scheduled a service appointment for 11/15/23 and secured a loner car. I asked Ulas why so far out and he responded that the service dept. opened at 8 and that "you could bring it in earlier as a walk in if you want". I decided to do just that. In actuality, it opens at 7:30 for service. I took the car in where again it was diagnosed with the same codes and was told that parts had to be ordered. At this point I was indirectly called a liar twice by first the service supervisor over a loner car issue (that I will follow up on here later, right now it's about the vehicle service) and second by an unknown employee as explained to me by the Subaru of America representative. I asked how long it might take to get the parts and I was told by the service person about three days and that they would call when the parts arrived. I asked how long it would take to place the seal and I was told again by the "expert" 1-3hours. I was assured that there would be no engine damage as a result of the faulty converter component which was the converter seal. I was told by the service supervisor as long as the check ending light is "not blinking" it should be fine. Low and behold, the "expert" is dead wrong, again. Power is definitely lost and sluggish out traffic lights. Definitely getting carbon deposits in the engine as the fuel/air ratio is not tuned. BTW, did I mention that I was a NYS motor vehicle inspector for 15 years? Well, I'll mention it now. To my surprise, the parts came in in about a day. Long story short, I called Subaru of America with my concerns about how I was called a liar, now two times by employees of Romano Subaru in Syracuse NY, and that was equally useless as Romano Subaru are an "independent dealership" that could basically lie to your face and steal your money and interrupt work life balance. That's another review to come after my now December 4 appointment. All I could say is thank goodness for recording devices. It would be in your best interest to record ALL conversations with anyone in that place and make your concerns known to Subaru of America. They may be independent, but with enough complaints, maybe collectively we could grab the attention of the right person. More

I stopped From the moment I walked in I received top notch service from the sales associate and management. I have had nothing but excellent service. I stopped in this evening to pick up my registration, and they were closed, but the manager whose name was Ernie went out of his way to make sure I received my registration. He could not have been nicer . These people really care about their customers if you want a dealership that truly is loyal, I suggest shopping at Bill Rapp! Ask for Matt Rabbia if you want a super nice sale guy!!! More
No communication from Service Department. Brought car in for preventative maintenance. Dropped first thing in morning. Was told work would take an hour. Returned at 1:30. Car still in bay an Brought car in for preventative maintenance. Dropped first thing in morning. Was told work would take an hour. Returned at 1:30. Car still in bay and work not started. Service agent told me that "just because I dropped off vehicle at 9:00, doesn't mean it would be ready in an hour. Another service agent chimed in with support of the "policy". I asked why I didn't get a courtesy call. No answer. I said l would wait. After an hour, mechanic said there was no specific time on the work orders. If there was, he would have finished the work hours ago. The first agent walked by and I told him what the mechanic said. He seemed to ignore it and muttered something I couldn't understand. I returned to the counter and asked if they performed a break service. This involves cleaning and adjusting them. The price was $100 an axle, $200 for the pair. The price is $75 more then a competitor but I figured it would be easier as opposed to making another appointment and trying up the vehicle for a few hours. The work was completed and the mechanic brought me into his bay to explain what he did. I drove out and the break pedal was still sinking to the floor. Immediately called Service and explained the problem. Informed Service that I could drop car for a week. A clicking noise started in hard right and left turns. Was not like that before break service. Called Service 5 days later. No work, no courtesy call. Returned following Monday and was given a couple of possibilities with no firm answer about brakes. Service said that the front end needed work to the tune of $850. The brakes needed work that might be $500 plus. The Service agent asked if I had an extended warranty. I do and showed it him the paperwork. He was supposed to call me when he found out the particulars of the extended warranty. I never heard from him again. Frustrated by the all this, took my car to a competitor. The brake service needed to be repeated. The competitor fixed the problem. Have had no brake issues since. Cost was $125. I shudder to think of all the additional money I might have spent had I went with Service hypotheticals. I have spent thousands of dollars at this dealership and will not return. More

I bought my Crosstrek there brand new in 2018 and have been pretty happy with them over the years, however recent events have me fuming! In 2021 I started hearing a noise while driving, and had to get been pretty happy with them over the years, however recent events have me fuming! In 2021 I started hearing a noise while driving, and had to get my front wheel bearing replaced. I didn't think much of this as repairs were still covered under warranty. It is now 2023, and due to noises again, I am now told all 4 wheel bearings need to be replaced, for a total bill of 2,500 (of course the warranty on the first replacement was only good for 12 months). For a car that was brand new in 2018, I find this pretty outrageous. There are no major driving events I've been involved in that could have caused this, and normal wear and tear should not lead to a $2,500 wheel bearing bill 4/5 years later. Either Subaru makes bad wheel bearings, or I am being scammed. I have not heard of anyone else having wheel bearing issues.... I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. More
