I apologize I can not address this to you personally, but DealerRater only provides your email address. First of all, I want to thank you for visiting my dealership and allowing us the opportunity to assist you in purchasing a car from us. I respect your professionalism in the research you did before hand to ensure our prices were indeed extremely competitive and our trade in values were in line with your research. Please allow me to explain the other fees that your incurred during your visit. Unfortunately, Subaru of America only provides us with one key to vehicles purchased at their factory dealer auctions. We are the largest factory auction buyer in the country for Subaru. We have expressed, on several occasions, the need for them to include two keys for each vehicle we purchase from them. They do not include a second key. We make the second key, programming etc. available to our customers at our cost as we realize the hardship this causes. What you were quoted it actually a bit less than what we have to pay for the key, the programming, and the remote. I wish it were different, believe me. The $200 you were quoted for Registration /DMV paperwork is an estimate the State of New York charges us up front for filing your Motor Vehicle paperwork. When the registration is processed by DMV, they send us the actually charge for processing and we send you a refund check if there is any difference (in some cases it is actually higher). We do not mark up this processing fee; this is mandated by the State of New York. The $75 Document Fee is also a Fee mandated by the State. We do not mark up, or make money, on either of these State mandated fees. They are regulated by the State of New York. I pride my sales staff in providing Full Disclosure of all prices and fees during the sales process. We want you to feel completely comfortable in your transaction with us. We pride ourselves in complete honesty and integrity. I apologize if these issues where not fully explained to you. I would value the opportunity to earn your trust and your business. Bill Kolb Jr. personally hand selects each pre-owned vehicle from the Subaru factory auctions. This allows us to eliminate the middle man and offer the lowest possible prices as a result. Bill is the largest buyer of pre-owned Subaru auction vehicles in the United States. Each vehicle is a one - owner vehicle and comes with the remainder of the Subaru Manufacturers Warranty.
