I have bought several cars from Bill Earnest at Bill Jacobs BMW and I have always been pleased with the end result knowing I got the best deal possible when buying through him. Although Bill works for Jacobs BMW and I have always been pleased with the end result knowing I got the best deal possible when buying through him. Although Bill works for the dealership he always make you feel as if he is working for you, and he should and does bring the best deal possible to the buyer. Bill is outstanding in what he does and he is someone you can trust! Although I have had some service issue with my most recent purchase, and still do, I know I can contact Bill Earnest and he will work though the issues with the service department with me. To this point my service consultant, Brett, has been more than fair and has gone above and beyond to handle the issue, but the issue still persist and now I'll need to go to Bill for his help on the service problem. I would recommend Bill Earnest to anyone that is looking to buy a new or used car and I would recommend the Bill Jacobs dealership to anyone as well. More
I have purchased two new BMW’s for Mr. Earnest in the past 10 years that I have been living in Naperville. Bill has always given me no pressure sales, been upfront and has given me a fair price. The se past 10 years that I have been living in Naperville. Bill has always given me no pressure sales, been upfront and has given me a fair price. The service department has been great as well. If my car needed service there is always a loaner car for me to use. Bill Jacobs as a whole is a great dealership. I have researched and visited many BMW dealerships in the Chicago land area and I will only do my business at Bill Jacobs BMW. More
In couple weeks I hope to place order for my 4th series 7 car. Service provided by Bill Jackobs' employees is extraordinary and on several occasions I talked to advisors asking sometimes questions that one car. Service provided by Bill Jackobs' employees is extraordinary and on several occasions I talked to advisors asking sometimes questions that one can consider beyond stupid - i.e. "where to find a jack in the car?" While many places would suggest to review owners manual it was not such in my case. The person on the other end had clear understanding that I am seating on the shoulder of highway with flat tire and looking through manual is not very appealing in such situation. Not only I got clear instructions where to find jack, but also was offered advise on sequence of dismounting and remounting of the wheel. Unfortunately I do not remember name of that advisor. However I do know names of two people that regardless (I had my share of issues with very first 740IL right from get go, and it is not reflective on dealership, but rather on BMW itself - as it may sound ridiculous I gave preference to BMW over MB more than 10 years ago due to the built-in phone system, and because I got phone from BMW that was not correctly paired with installed craddle car went back to dealership few times) of everything else make me come back - my Salesman Bill and Jim - The "Hiker". Bill Earnest from the first car was advocating for me, working with me within established by me borders and limits. He became my trusted advisor when it comes to me leasing my BMW cars or asking for help and advise when it comes to other makes and models by involving people from other branches of Jackob's family of dealerships when such need arises. And I cannot say enough good things about Jim (keep in mind that I live and work about 70 miles away from dealership) - he remembers such a small detail as me not being comfortable in small cars! As such series 5 car is the smallest I've ever seen as a loaner, but more often than none it is same series 7 as I am acustom too. Being involved in service business by myself I must say that I have very clear understanding that there is an organisation behind Bill and Jim that puts SERVICE at the top of the helm. And I do not want to miss the opportunity to highlight that I appreciate Management and Ownership of Bill Jackobs empowering its employees to perform at such levels. I highly recommend people that I have worked with, Bill Jackobs BMW and entire "family" of BJ dealerships. Alex P. P.S. I gave rating 5 as it comes to the price not to price of BMW 7-series as car, but rather based on price that I am getting from BJ BMW in comparison with other BMW dealers. And I do check this every time I order new car. AP More
BMWs are only half the reason we shop at Bill Jacobs BMW, and the other half? Bill Earnest. Bill is an incredible Client Advisor who takes the time to get to know his clients and what THEY are looking for. and the other half? Bill Earnest. Bill is an incredible Client Advisor who takes the time to get to know his clients and what THEY are looking for. We’ve purchased 4 BMW’s; the last three were all three from Bill Earnest and for good reason. We visited the Bill Jacobs web site and picked three or four cars from the inventory shown there and scheduled a day for test driving. We finished with the second one and had asked for the third one on our list when Bill said, hang on… I think I have something that is right up your alley. He went away into the back and drove up in our dream car. It had everything I wanted and everything my wife wanted all wrapped up into the perfect car with the perfect amount of miles and the perfect price. It was as if he went in back and conjured up this perfect car based on his discussions with us. This was not the first time he did this. Our last two BMWs which we purchased from him as well were also conjured up like this right out of thin air. It is as if he reads our minds and builds the car for us! The company, Bill Jacobs is great. But the only reason we shop there is Bill Earnest. Thank you Bill! More
We are absolutely thrilled with Bill Jacobs in Naperville, and especially with Bill Earnest. We have now purchased 4 BMWs with Bill and could not be happier. Honestly, when we started our car sear Naperville, and especially with Bill Earnest. We have now purchased 4 BMWs with Bill and could not be happier. Honestly, when we started our car search this last time around, we did look at other dealerships/different car models, and just did not feel good about, until we stopped by BMW just to take a look. Well, the story ends here, Bill told us about some great cars with some great pricing. We wished this was our first stop, it would have saved us alot of time and energy. In the future, we will always stop at Bill Jacobs and visit our friend Bill Earnest first! Thanks Bill! More
I have been a customer of Bill Jacobs Motorsport in Naperville since 1999. . .and I moved out of the state in 2004. I have purchased 7 vehicles from them over a ten year stretch, and when it's time tr Naperville since 1999. . .and I moved out of the state in 2004. I have purchased 7 vehicles from them over a ten year stretch, and when it's time trade in the one I bought last year, I'll be buying my one way ticket to Chicago again. I've bought vehicles from them while living in Orlando, Minneapolis, and now Houston. When the price they can offer for a CPO vehicle makes it worth my while to ship my trade-in and buy a one-way ticket and STILL come out ahead, then it stands to reason why they have my loyalty. It may be two to three years between visits, but they all remember my name every time I come in. I met Bill Earnest while looking for my first BMW there and I've stayed with him ever since. Bill is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about BMW's (even the EPA ratings) and has an amazing ability to pick the very best of the CPO vehicles. I have even purchased 2 cars from Bill sight unseen (three total without test drives) and when I finally picked them up, they looked even better than I ever imagined. I always feel like his only customer. I had an arguable warranty issue within weeks of delivery of my very first purchase of a CPO vehicle from them and they resolved the issue in everyone's favor. Bill was instrumental in listening to my needs and understanding my situation and position. He'll fight for you. If you ever had a negative experience at Bill Jacobs, then you probably caught someone on a bad day. Come back and talk to Bill. I highly recommend this dealership and their sales staff (both new and used). More
I've been buying BMWs for more than a decade. I've purchased eight BMWs from Bill Jacobs in Naperville, Ill., and the single-most important reason for my loyalty to this dealership is my sales advisor purchased eight BMWs from Bill Jacobs in Naperville, Ill., and the single-most important reason for my loyalty to this dealership is my sales advisor, Bill Earnest. He's there for me during the buying process and long after the sale is over. He understands my personal preferences and interests, and his commitment and integrity have a huge influence on how I feel about BMW and the dealership. BMW could learn a great deal just by spending a week with this man and watching him work. If you're looking for a Certified Used or New BMW, the first call I would make is to Bill Earnest. More
Customer service was very friendly and informative. the quality of work on the clean-up and getting the car ready for us was very thorough. Everyone that I have come into contact with at the dealership has quality of work on the clean-up and getting the car ready for us was very thorough. Everyone that I have come into contact with at the dealership has been very polite and friendly. Overall experience was good. The price on the car was good, although I think there was definitely some more play in the trade-ins, especially after seeing what our old vehicle was being sold at. More
Bill Jacobs is a small dealer divided into two parts, BMW and MINI. I have only dealt with the MINI side. On several occasions I took MINIs in for service only to find the work not done either because they o and MINI. I have only dealt with the MINI side. On several occasions I took MINIs in for service only to find the work not done either because they overbooked or they didn't address the problem completely. Often times I've needed to rent a car (book their loaner cars early!) and make two trips to deal with what should have been a simple problem. The dealership is tiny and has hospitality area that is in the center of everything. It is not comfortable nor well furnished, which is sort of a big deal since you tend to spend quite a bit of time there. The reception is prompt and friendly, but the service guys are pressured to up sell all sorts of services when they create and close your work order. Hope you don't have a dispute with the service (or sales department for that matter) department because they are not pleasant to deal with in such a situation. They will make some minor concessions, but they certainly don't live up to the customer experience I thought the BMW/MINI brand should deliver. The dealer personnel will tell you to take simple tasks to third party providers. For instance, I asked about tire rotation and was told to use National Tire. However, if you are in for any kind of service they will try to up sell the tire rotation. Just not a good dealer in terms of car dealers. Certainly a very poor dealer in terms of BMW / MINI. I recommend you find another dealer if you can. More
attempted to purchase an X5 here several years ago, and they would absolutely not budge on the price.. and made me feel like they were doing me a favor and that I was inconveniencing them! I left... went they would absolutely not budge on the price.. and made me feel like they were doing me a favor and that I was inconveniencing them! I left... went directly across the street to the Jaguar dealership, and found the same model truck, in better shape with less miles and saved almost $6000.00. I am now in the market for another car, and drove into the lot of bill jacobs, and found a car I really liked. I put my first experience out of my mind as I thought maybe they'd get better... especially in the current market. NOT A CHANCE. They offered me squat on my trade in, and barely came down on the asking price of the car i was trying to buy. I decided not to get into a bidding war and play the cat and mouse game and left. I highly recommend NOT visiting this dealership if you can possibly avoid it. NOT worth the time or effort! Go somewhere else!!! More
